Description
Verfahren zur Tierstellung eines Mittels zur Erhöhung der Irapillaraktivität von Flüssigkeiten. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Mittels zur Erhöhung der Kapillaraktivität von Flüssig keiten. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man Octadecen-12-ol-1, eine einen Alkohol in einen Schwefelsäureester überführende Substanz und technische Py- ridinbasen in etwa molekularen Mengen bei erhöhter Temperatur und Druck aufeinander einwirken lässt.
Die vorteilhafteste Ausführungsform des Verfahrens wird derart durchgeführt, dass man zuerst die technischen Pyridinbasen mit der einen Alkohol in einen Schwefelsäure- ester überführenden Substanz, zum Beispiel Chlorsulfonsäure, behandelt und das so er haltene Produkt auf den Alkohol einwirken lässt.
Beispiel: In 80 Teile technische Pyridinbasen trägt man 24 Teile Chlorsulfonsäure unter Rühren und Kühlen ein, so dass die Temperatur 20<B>0</B> nicht übersteigt. Dann werden 55 Teile Octadecen-12-ol-1 bei 450 zugegeben, und es wird so lange auf dieser Temperatur ge halten, bis eine herausgenommene Probe sich als wasserlöslich erweist. Das Produkt wird dann im geschlossenen Reaktionsgefäss 8 Stunden auf 170 bis 180 erhitzt. Nach dem Erkalten ist das neue Reaktionsprodukt eine braune, salbenartige Masse, die in Wasser leicht zu einer stark schäumenden Flüssigkeit mit hoher Netzwirkung löslich ist.
Die wässerige Lösung hat die Eigen schaft, die Bildung positiv geladener Disper sionen zu befördern, dagegen negativ ge ladene Dispersionen auszufällen. Das Pro dukt ist gegen konzentrierte Mineralsäure durchaus beständig.
Method for producing an agent for increasing the irapillary activity of liquids. The present patent is a process for the preparation of an agent for increasing the capillary activity of liquids. The process is characterized in that octadecen-12-ol-1, a substance converting an alcohol into a sulfuric acid ester, and technical pyridine bases are allowed to act on one another in approximately molecular amounts at elevated temperature and pressure.
The most advantageous embodiment of the process is carried out in such a way that the technical pyridine bases are first treated with the substance which converts an alcohol into a sulfuric acid ester, for example chlorosulfonic acid, and the product thus obtained is allowed to act on the alcohol.
Example: 24 parts of chlorosulfonic acid are introduced into 80 parts of technical pyridine bases with stirring and cooling, so that the temperature does not exceed 20. Then 55 parts of octadecen-12-ol-1 are added at 450, and it is kept at this temperature until a sample removed proves to be water-soluble. The product is then heated to 170 to 180 hours in the closed reaction vessel. After cooling, the new reaction product is a brown, ointment-like mass that is easily soluble in water to form a strongly foaming liquid with a high wetting effect.
The watery solution has the property of promoting the formation of positively charged dispersions, while on the other hand precipitating negatively charged dispersions. The product is quite resistant to concentrated mineral acids.
