Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung von     2-n-propylquecksilber-mercapto-benzogazol-5-carbon-          saurem    Natrium.    Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von     2-ii-          propylquecksilber-        mercapto        -benzoxazol-5-car-          bonsaurem    Natrium, das dadurch gekennzeich  net ist, dass man     n-Propylquecksilberchlorid     mit     2-Mercaptobenzoxazol-5-carbonsäure    um  setzt und die so erhaltene Säure in das Na  triumsalz überführt.  



  Die entstandene neue Verbindung ist leicht  löslich in Wasser und Methylalkohol, schwerer  in Äthylalkohol und unlöslich in Äther und  Aceton. Sie soll als Arzneimittel und     Anti-          septicum    verwendet werden.  



       Beispiel:     Zu einer wässerigen Aufschlämmung von  8,33     gr        n-Propylquecksilberehlorid,    dargestellt  nach     Journ.    f. praktische Chemie 120, 1929,  S. 275, lässt man unter Rühren eine Lösung  von 8,2     gr        2-mercaptobenzoxazol-5-carbon-          saurem    Natrium in stark     alkalisch-wässeriger     Lösung zulaufen. Nach längerem Stehen wird    der dicke, farblose Brei abgesaugt, in Wasser  gelöst, filtriert und mit verdünnter Schwefel  säure angesäuert.

   Die ausgeschiedene, farb  lose, quecksilberhaltige Säure wird abgesaugt,  mit Wasser gewaschen und in analoger Weise,  wie     imHauptpatent    angegeben, auf     2-n-propyl-          quecksilber    -     mereaptobenzoxazol    - 5 -     carbon      saures Natrium von der Formel

    verarbeitet. Der farblose Körper zeigt dieselben  Löslichkeitseigenschaften wie die entspre  chende     Äthylverbindung.

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of 2-iisopropylmercury mercapto-benzoxazole-5-carboxylic acid sodium, which is characterized in that n-propylmercury chloride is reacted with 2-mercaptobenzoxazole-5-carboxylic acid and the acid obtained in this way converted into the sodium salt.



  The resulting new compound is easily soluble in water and methyl alcohol, more difficult in ethyl alcohol and insoluble in ether and acetone. It is said to be used as a medicine and an antiseptic.



       Example: For an aqueous slurry of 8.33 g of n-propyl mercury chloride, prepared according to Journ. f. Practical Chemistry 120, 1929, p. 275, a solution of 8.2 g of 2-mercaptobenzoxazole-5-carboxylic acid sodium in a strongly alkaline aqueous solution is allowed to run in with stirring. After standing for a long time, the thick, colorless paste is suctioned off, dissolved in water, filtered and acidified with dilute sulfuric acid.

   The precipitated, colorless, mercury-containing acid is filtered off with suction, washed with water and in an analogous manner, as indicated in the main patent, on 2-n-propyl mercury - mereaptobenzoxazole - 5 - carbonic acid sodium of the formula

Claims (1)

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von 2-n-propyl- quecksilber-mercapto-benzoxazol-5 - carbon- saurem Natrium, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man n-Propylquecksilberchlorid mit 2-Mer- oaptobenzogazol-5-carbonsäure umsetzt und die so erhaltene Säure in das Natriumsalz überführt. Die entstandene neue Verbindung ist leicht löslich in Wasser und Methylalkohol, schwerer in Athylalkohol und unlöslich in Äther und Aceton. Sie soll als Arzneimittel und Anti- septicum verwendet werden.
