Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 173751. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines transparenten, leuchtend roten Lackes. Es wurde gefunden, dass es gelingt, einen transparenten, leuchtend roten Lack mit aus gezeichneten Echtheitseigenschaften herzu stellen, indem man den Xanthen-Farbstoff aus ,je einem Mol Phthalsäure, Dimethyl-m- aminophenol und ss-Resorcylsäure, ein Salz des 2wertigen Kupfers und einen Lack zusammenbringt und durch gelindes Erwär men des Gemisches das rot gefärbte Kupfer komplexsalz des Farbstoffes sich bilden lässt.
Man erhält je nach er Farbstoffkonzentra- tion einen heller oder dunkler rot gefärbten, transparenten Lack von sehr grosser Reinheit des Farbtones, der hervorragend lichtechte Anstriche ergibt. Seine Verwendung liegt auf allen Gebieten der Anstrichtechnik, wo grosse Ansprüche an die Lichtechtheit ge stellt werden.
Als Ausgangslacke kommen die meisten Lacke und Firnisse der Technik in Frage, wie Acetylzellulose- und Nitrozelluloselacke, Lacke aus Kunstharzen, wie Glyzerin-Phthal- säurea.nhydrid-Kondensationsprodukte, Chlor- kautschuklacke, Gelatinelösungen, Sprit lacke, Leinöl und Lithographenfirnisse.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 0,5 g des Xanthen-Farbstoffes aus je einem Mol. Phthalsäure, Dimethyl-m-amino- phenol und ss-Resorcylsäure werden in 100 g Nitrozelluloselack gelöst, mit 0,5 g Kupfer acetat versetzt und durch gelindes. Erwär men in den hervorragend lichtechten rot gefärbten Lack übergeführt.

It has been found that it is possible to produce a transparent, bright red lacquer with excellent fastness properties by converting the xanthene dye from one mole each of phthalic acid, dimethyl-m-aminophenol and ß-resorcylic acid, a salt of divalent copper and brings together a varnish and the red colored copper complex salt of the dye can be formed by gently heating the mixture.
Depending on the dye concentration, a lighter or darker red colored, transparent varnish is obtained with a very high degree of purity of the hue, which gives excellent lightfast coatings. Its use is in all areas of painting technology where high demands are placed on lightfastness.
Most technical lacquers and varnishes can be used as starting lacquers, such as acetyl cellulose and nitrocellulose lacquers, lacquers made from synthetic resins, such as glycerol-phthalic acid anhydride condensation products, chlorinated rubber lacquers, gelatin solutions, petrol lacquers, linseed oil and lithographic varnishes.
<I> Example: </I> 0.5 g of the xanthene dye from one mole each of phthalic acid, dimethyl-m-aminophenol and ß-resorcylic acid are dissolved in 100 g of nitrocellulose varnish, and 0.5 g of copper acetate is added and by mild. Warming men transferred to the excellent lightfast red colored lacquer.
