Description

Device for cushioning the upper part of the vehicle on pendulum half-axles, in particular for motor vehicles. To cushion the upper part of the vehicle on pendulum half-axles of motor vehicles, transverse leaf springs are mostly used, which are fastened in their center on the center axle and rest with each of their ends in, near the wheels on a semi-axis. With this type of fastening in the middle and at the ends of the springs, their effective part is very shortened, which is why the suspension becomes hard.

According to the invention, a substantial lengthening of the effective spring part and thus also a soft springing is achieved by the fact that each spring of a half-axis consists of two quarter-elliptical springs, which with their stronger ends in a common shoe that is steered at the center piece of the axle are attached, these quarter springs are arranged to each other so that their weaker ends are away from each other and the one on,

the corresponding semi-axis is supported, while the upper part of the vehicle rests on the other. The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. illustrated. The housing 1 carrying the half-axis drive carries a bracket 2 with a pin 3. On the latter, shoes 4, 4 'are articulated.

In these shoes 4, 4. ' are quarter elliptical springs 5, 6 respectively. 5 ', 6' clamped with their stronger ends, the springs 5, 5 'with their weaker, downward-facing ends being supported on the brake drums 7, 7' of the relevant semi-axis 7a, 7a ', while on the after the weaker ends of the springs 6, 6 'turned upwards: the places 8, $' of the car body: teu 9 or the chassis were supported.

In this way, the effective length of the spring can be doubled, so that the spring becomes soft.

To further improve the suspension, dampers or the like can be installed between the ends of the split springs.
