Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Nottenschatzmittels. Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Ver fahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Mottenschutzmittels.
Wasserlösliche Mottenschutzmittel wur den bisher insbesondere derart hergestellt, dass man in wirksame wasserunlösliche, phe- nolische Hydroxylgruppen enthaltende Stoffe im aromatischen Kern Sulfo- bezw. Carb- oxylgruppen einführte oder zum Aufbau dieser Verbindung solche Komponenten ver wandte, welche Sulfo- bezw. Carboxylgrup- pen enthielten.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man wasser unlösliche Mottenschutzmittel, die wenig stens eine freie Hydroxylgruppe enthalten, dadurch in wasserlösliche Form bringen kann, dass man sie in saure Mineralsäure ester überführt. Der Vorzug dieses Verfah rens, wasserunlösliche Mottenschutzmittel in wasserlösliche überzuführen, besteht darin, dass durch die Einführung von Sulfo- oder Carboxylgruppen in den Kern die Wirksam- keit der wasserunlöslichen Verbindungen mehr oder weniger weit zurückgeht.
Dem gegenüber wird durch die Veresterung der phenolischen Hydroxylgruppe die Wirksam keit der Verbindungen nicht wesentlich ver ändert. Ferner besteht bei diesen sauren Mineralsäureestern die Möglichkeit, durch Verwendung heisser saurer Bäder bei der Be handlung der zu schützenden Stoffe mit die sen Verbindungen die wasserlöslich machen den Säurereste abzuspalten und so das was serunlösliche Mottenschutzmittel mit voller Wirksamkeit aus wässeriger Lösung wasser echt und waschecht auf die Stoffe aufzu bringen.
Für die oben beschriebene Arbeitsweise kommen alle Arten von wasserunlöslichen, mindestens eine freie phenolische Hydrogyl- gruppe besitzenden Mottenschutzmitteln in Frage, z. B. Phenole, Naphthole, Verbindun gen, die sich vom Diphenyl, Diphenylmethan, Triphenyhmethan ableiten lassen, und an- dere mehr.
Die Wirksamkeit der gemäss der Erfindung erhaltenen sauren Ester ist dabei von der Wirksamkeit der wasserunlöslichen Ausgangsverbindung abhängig in dem Sinne, dass, je wirksamer die unlösliche Ausgangs verbindung ist, um so wirksamer auch die sauren Ester sind.
Die Herstellung der sauren blineralsäure- ester geschieht nach bekannten 'Methoden, z. B. durch Einwirken von Chlorsulfonsäure auf die Phenole in Gegenwart einer tertiären Base oder durch Umsetzung der Phenole mit Phosphorogyehlorid in Gegenwart von Al kali. Im ersten Fall werden saure Schwefel säureester, im zweiten saure Phosphorsäure ester erhalten.
Die erfindungsgemäss erhaltenen Verbin dungen können, wie üblich, in wässeriger Lösung bei höheren Temperaturen und ge gebenenfalls in Anwesenheit von Säuren an gewandt werden.
Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasser löslichen Mottenschutzmittels. Das Verfah ren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man das Diosy - 3,3'- 5,5'- 2"-4"-5"-heptachlortri- phenylmethan durch Behandeln mit Chlorsul- fonsäure im Verhältnis 1 Mol : 2 Mol in den sauren Schwefelsäureester überführt. wobei man zweckmässig in Gegenwart von Pyridin arbeitet.
Nach dem Neutralisieren mit Na triumkarbonat und Entfernung des Pyridins erhält man das Natriumsalz des Schwefel- säureesters als farbloses, wasserlösliches Pul ver.
Wollgarn, das mit 1/2 bis 1'J dieser Ver bindung (bezogen auf das Gewicht der Ware) im sauren oder neutralen Farbbad bei 95 C während einer Stunde behandelt wurde, ist geschützt gegen Mottenfrass.
Beispiel: In 50 Volumteile Pyridin lässt man unter Kühlung 25 Gewichtsteile Chlorsulfonsäure eintropfen, gibt 55 Gewichtsteile 2,2'-Dioay- 3,3'-5,5' - 2"-4"-5"-heptachlortriphenylmethan zu und hält die Temperatur unter Rühren 6 bis 8 Stunden auf 40 bis<B>50'</B> C. Nach dem Abkühlen neutralisiert man mit Natrium karbonat, das in wenig Wasser gelöst wurde, und bläst das Pyridin mit Wasserdampf ab.
Durch Aussalzen erhält man das Natronsalz des Schwefelsäureesters der obengenannten Verbindung. Es stellt ein farbloses, in Was ser lösliches Pulver dar.

The acidic blineral acid esters are produced by known methods, e.g. B. by the action of chlorosulfonic acid on the phenols in the presence of a tertiary base or by reacting the phenols with Phosphorogyehlorid in the presence of Al kali. In the first case, acid sulfuric acid esters are obtained, in the second acidic phosphoric acid esters.
The compounds obtained according to the invention can, as usual, be applied in aqueous solution at higher temperatures and, if appropriate, in the presence of acids.
The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a water-soluble moth repellent. The process is characterized in that the diosy - 3,3'- 5,5'- 2 "-4" -5 "-heptachlorotriphenylmethane by treatment with chlorosulfonic acid in a ratio of 1 mol: 2 mol in the acidic Sulfuric acid ester converted, it being expedient to work in the presence of pyridine.
