Shape watch box. The subject of the invention is a shaped watch case comprising a back, a bezel, an unbreakable crystal and a movement holder assembled together in a sealed manner, by means of compressible seals and Tightening.
According to the invention, these clamping members comprise two removable clamping rings surrounding the base and, the bezel at both ends of the box and elastically gripping them, each by means of at least one spring, this spring being, preferably adapted to the ring.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example of the subject of the invention, a tangular rec box with horns.
Fig. 1 is partially in longitudinal section and partially in elevation.
Fig. 2 is a plan projection of FIG. 1, part of the box being shown in section along line II-II of FIG. 1; fig. 3 shows one of the clamping rings seen in elevation; fig. 4 is a section taken along line IV-IV of FIG. 3.
In: the drawing, we can see the back 5, the horned bezel 6, the movement holder 7, the unbreakable crystal 8 and the two clamping rings 9.
The bottom 5 and the bezel 6 are supported on each other by two flat surfaces and are held together by means of the two clamping rings 9 arranged at both ends of the box. A compressible rubber lining 10 (leather or other compres sible and waterproof material) is interposed between the base 5 and the movement holder 7. Another similar lining 11 is interposed between a heel of the lens 8 and said door. movement.
The clamping rings are each engaged in a groove 12 of the bezel and act elastically on the bottom, each by means of a spring 13 formed by a steel rod fitted inside the ring by its curved ends, engaged in corresponding holes.
When the rings 9 are mounted on the back and the bezel, they are each engaged in the bandaged state, under a shoulder of the back. preferably in a groove 14 of this shoulder.
The rings 9 ensure the assembly of all the elements of the box and keep the gaskets 10 and 11 compressed, so that the assembly joints of the box are impermeable to water and dust.
The clamping springs 13 are removable, but they could be welded to the rings. Each ring could comprise two res kinds of clamping in the form of a tongue, welded or not to the ring.
Finally, the clamping springs could be independent of the rings, for example be interposed between the ring and the base; they could be united with this fund.
