Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer höher molekularen a-sulbstituierten Benzylaminsulfonsäur e. ' Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer höher molekularen, a - substituierten Benzylamin- sulfonsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man N-Diogypropyl-a-undecyl-(4-methyl- benzyl)-amin sulfiert.
Die neue Sulfonsäure bildet als Natrium salz ein hellgelbes Pulver, dessen wässrige Lösungen ausgeprägte kapillaraktive Eigen schaften besitzen. Sie kann als Wasch- und Netzmittel und als galkseifenemulgator Verwendung finden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 0,1 Mol a - Undecyl - (4 - methylbenzyl)- amin (hergestellt nach den Angaben im Zusatzpatent Nr.<B>211796)</B> wird mit 0,15 Mol Glycerin-a-chlorhydrin auf 150-160' er hitzt, bis keine Salzsäure mehr entweicht. Man äthert aus,
wäscht das überschüssige Chlorhydrin mit Wasser weg und löst den nach dem Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels hinterbleibenden Rückstand in 100 Teilen Schwefelsäuremonohydrat. Bei 0 werden 40 Teilte 26 % iges Oleum zugetropft und ge rührt, bis sich eine Probe der Sulfurations- masse in Wasser klar löst. Man giesst auf 500 Teile Eis und neutralisiert mit Natron lauge.
Nach dem Eindampfen erhält man ein hellgelbes Pulver; dessen wässrige Lösun gen ausgeprägte kapillaraktive Eigenschaf ten besitzen.

As a sodium salt, the new sulfonic acid forms a pale yellow powder, the aqueous solutions of which have distinctive capillary-active properties. It can be used as a detergent and wetting agent and as a soap emulsifier.
<I> Example: </I> 0.1 mol of a - undecyl - (4 - methylbenzyl) - amine (prepared according to the information in additional patent no. <B> 211796) </B> is mixed with 0.15 mol of glycerine A-chlorohydrin is heated to 150-160 'until no more hydrochloric acid escapes. One ether out
washes away the excess chlorohydrin with water and dissolves the residue remaining after evaporation of the solvent in 100 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate. It is poured onto 500 parts of ice and neutralized with sodium hydroxide solution.
