Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung des Leukoschwefelsäureesters eines Nüpenfarbstoffes. Gegenstand des Patentes ist ein Verfah ren zur Herstellung des Leukoschwefelsäure- esters eines Küpenfarbstoffes, welches da durch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man den Farb stoff, der durch Kondensation von 3-Oxy-. thionaphten mit Acenaphtenchinon erhält lich ist,
mit einem den .Schwefelsäureester bildenden Mittel und einem Reduktionsmittel behandelt und .die Veresterung in Gegen wart einer tertiären Base vornimmt.
Als tertiäre Base kommt z. B. Pyridin oder Dimethylanilin in Frage und als Schwe- feltrioxyd lieferndes Veresterungsmittel, bei spielsweise Chlorsulfonsäuremethyl- oder äthylester, chlorsu'lfonsaures Natrium oder Oleum. Die Behandlung mit diesen Mitteln wird zweckmässigerweise in Gegenwart von Metallen, z. B. mit Eisen, oder Kupfer, vor genommen.
Die Veresterung kann auch so er folgen, dass man zuerst die Leukoverbindung des Küpenfarbstoffes z. B. durch kataly tische Reduktion herstellt, und diese dann mit @Schwefeltrioxyd oder einer Schwefel trioxyd liefernden Verbindung in Gegenwart einer tertiären Base verestert.
Beispiel: In 750 Gewichtsteile einer Pyridinfrak- tion vom Siedepunkt 125-128 C lässt man unter Rühren und Kühlung beiss 15-20 C 150 Gewichtsteile Chlors:ulfonsäure einlau fen und trägt 150 Gewichtsteile des Küpen= farbstoffes, der durch Kondensation von 3-Oxythionaplhten mit Acenaphtenchinon er hältlich ist, und 75 Gewichtsteile Eisen pulver ein.
Nach dem Anheizen auf 40' C steigt die Innentemperatur auf etwa 50 C. Nach etwa einstündigem Nachrührei gibt man die Veresterungsmasse auf eine Lösung von 225 Gewichtsteilen: Natriumcarbonat in 4000 Gewichtsteilen, Wasser, destilliert im Vakuum, bis die Masse frei von Pyridin ist und klärt durch Filtration bei 60 C.
Aus dem Filtrat wird der Ester mit<B>15%</B> Na- triumchlorid ausgesalzen, der ausgeschiedene Ester wird bei Zimmertemperatur abgesaugt.
Der nach Zusatz von Natriumcarbonat getrocknete Leukosehwefelsäureester stellt ein gelb gefärbtes Pulver dar, das sich gut in Wasser löst. Er liefert beim Drucken nach der für diese Klasse üblichen Methode ein Scharlach von guten Echtheiten und guter Fixierung auf Viskosekrepp und Zellwolle.

Example: 150 parts by weight of chlorine: sulfonic acid are allowed to run into 750 parts by weight of a pyridine fraction with a boiling point of 125-128 ° C. while stirring and cooling at 15-20 ° C. Acenaphtenquinone is available, and 75 parts by weight of iron powder.
After heating to 40 ° C, the internal temperature rises to about 50 C. After stirring for about an hour, the esterification mass is added to a solution of 225 parts by weight: sodium carbonate in 4000 parts by weight, water, distilled in vacuo until the mass is free of pyridine and clears by filtration at 60 C.
The ester is salted out from the filtrate with <B> 15% </B> sodium chloride, and the separated ester is filtered off with suction at room temperature.
The leucose sulfuric acid ester, dried after adding sodium carbonate, is a yellow colored powder that dissolves well in water. When printing according to the method customary for this class, it produces a scarlet with good fastness properties and good fixation on viscose crepe and rayon.
