Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Kondensationsproduktes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem neuen Kondensationsprodukt gelangt, wenn man 1 Mol 1-Phenyl-3-methylpyrazolon-3'- sulfonsäure in Gegenwart eines säurebinden- 5 den Mittels mit 2 Mol 2-Chlormethyl-cymol umsetzt.
Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in der Wärme, z. B. bei 65-70 , vorgenommen, wo bei man-als säurebindendes Mittel vorteilhaft eine wässerige Natriumhydroxydlösung ver wendet.
Das neue Kondensationsprodukt stellt in Form des Natriumsalzes eine amorphe, leicht pulverisierbare feste Masse dar, die in Wasser ziemlich leicht löslich ist und deren wässe rige Lösungen ein ausgezeichnetes Netzver mögen besitzen. Es kann als Textilhilfsstoff, z. B. als Netzmittel, Anwendung finden. <I>Beispiel:</I> <B>15,30</B> Gewichtsteile fein pulverisierte techn.
1- Phenyl - 3 - methylpyrazolon-3'-sulfonsäure (enthaltend 83,2,7o reine .Säure) werden in 25 Gewichtsteilen Wasser aufgeschlämmt, mit 4-fach normaler Natronlauge neutrali siert und die dabei entstehende Lösung schwach alkalisch gestellt. Hierauf lässt man unter Rühren innerhalb 3 Stunden bei 65 bis 70 19,2 Gewichtsteile 2-Chlormethyl-cymol zufliessen, wobei durch Zusatz von Natrium hydroxydlösung das Reaktionsgemisch stets schwach alkalisch gehalten wird.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird bei 65-70 so lange gerührt, bis eine Probe desselben in Wasser klar löslich ist und auch beim Kochen klar bleibt, was nach etwa 6-10 Stunden der Fall ist.
Die Reaktionslösung wird sodann neutra lisiert, zur Tiockne eingedampft und der Rückstand mit Alkohol extrahiert. Nach Ver dampfen des alkoholischen Extraktes erhält man das neue Pyrazolonderivat als amorphen, leicht pulverisierbaren Rückstand. Das so er haltene Produkt bildet ein in Wasser ziem lich leicht lösliches Pulver, dessen wässerige Lösung ein ausgezeichnetes Netzvermögen besitzt.
Process for the production of a new condensation product. It has been found that a new condensation product is obtained if 1 mole of 1-phenyl-3-methylpyrazolone-3'-sulfonic acid is reacted with 2 moles of 2-chloromethyl-cymene in the presence of an acid-binding agent.
The implementation is expediently in the heat, for. B. at 65-70, made where in man-as an acid-binding agent advantageous ver uses an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution.
The new condensation product, in the form of the sodium salt, is an amorphous, easily pulverizable solid mass which is quite readily soluble in water and whose aqueous solutions have excellent network properties. It can be used as a textile auxiliary, e.g. B. as a wetting agent, application. <I> Example: </I> <B> 15.30 </B> Parts by weight of finely powdered techn.
1- Phenyl - 3 - methylpyrazolone-3'-sulfonic acid (containing 83.2.7o pure acid) are suspended in 25 parts by weight of water, neutralized with 4 times normal sodium hydroxide solution and the resulting solution is made slightly alkaline. Then, while stirring, 19.2 parts by weight of 2-chloromethyl-cymene are allowed to flow in at 65 to 70 over the course of 3 hours, the reaction mixture being kept weakly alkaline by adding sodium hydroxide solution.
The reaction mixture is stirred at 65-70 until a sample of the same is clearly soluble in water and remains clear even when boiled, which is the case after about 6-10 hours.
The reaction solution is then neutralized, evaporated to dryness and the residue extracted with alcohol. After the alcoholic extract has been evaporated, the new pyrazolone derivative is obtained as an amorphous, easily pulverizable residue. The product obtained in this way forms a powder which is quite easily soluble in water and whose aqueous solution has excellent wetting properties.
