Self-winding watch movement by oscillating weight. The subject of the invention is a self-winding watch movement, for example a wristwatch movement with central seconds. It mainly relates to the automatic winding mechanism that and its purpose is to achieve a relatively low height movement. This movement is characterized in that the axis of oscillation of the oscillating mass is offset from the center of the frame of the movement and disposed coaxially with the barrel shaft carrying the barrel ratchet.
When the movement is provided with a central second hand, the center of oscillation of the oscillating weight is therefore eccentric with respect to the center of rotation of this hand. This arrangement offers the possibility of accommodating the axis of the oscillating mass partially in the barrel shaft, in part tubular, and of using this shaft as a bearing (crapau dine) for one of the pivots of the axis. This results in an assembly by reciprocal interlocking of the barrel shaft and the axis of the oscillating weight, and hence a relatively significant reduction in the total height of the movement.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view thereof, showing the aiming of the caliber and all of the cog, with the exception of the escapement and of the manually operated winding mechanism. Fig. 2 is a section, on a larger scale, along a line passing through the centers of rotation of the motor barrel, of the center wheel and of the small average mobile.
The object represented is a round watch movement with manual winding and automatic winding by means of an oscillating weight. It has a centrally located seconds hand arranged coaxially with the usual hour and minute hands. The frame of the movement comprises a plate 3, a barrel bridge 4, two finishing bridges 5 and 6, an auxiliary bridge 7 for the axis of the oscillating weight and the automatic winding gear train and finally the cock 8.
At the center of the frame of the movement is placed the center pinion 9 (high-mean pinion) which carries the minute wheel 10 (high-mean wheel or center wheel) and whose tubular axis 11 is adjusted in a bearing 3 'formed by the plate 3, the pivot of this axis being adjusted in the finishing bridge 5.
On the axis 11 is adjusted with high friction the roadway 12 carrying the barrel wheel 13 (hour wheel) controlled by the timing pinion 14, the wheel 15 of which meshes with the roadway.
In the tubular axis 11 is adjusted by a collar the axis 16 of the seconds whose shank 16 'receives the large seconds hand. The axis 16 carries the pinion 17 and the seconds wheel 18; the upper pivot of this axis is adjusted in the finishing bridge 6. The axial section of the axis 16 is determined by two spans of the axis, one of which, lower, rests on a support plate 19 fixed on bridge 5.
The center pinion 9 is controlled by the barrel drum 20 fitted loosely on the barrel shaft 21 forming the plug and being able to rotate freely, by its journals, in the plate 3, on the one hand, and in the barrel 4, on the other hand. The center wheel 10 meshes with the pinion 22 of the small-medium mobile, the wheel 23 of which meshes with the pinion 17 of the seconds, while the second wheel 18 meshes with the pinion 24 of the escape wheel 25.
The axes of the mobile of small medium and of the escape wheel are adjusted, on the one hand, in the plate 3 and, on the other hand, in the bridge 6, the pinion 22 passing to the through an opening 5 'of the deck 5.
The barrel shaft 21 is partially tubular and carries, as usual, fitted on a square, the barrel ratchet 26 which meshes with the crown ratchet 27, controlled by the manually operated winding mechanism (not shown). in the drawing). The ratchet 26 is held on the shaft 21 by a tubular screw 26 'provided with a head and screwed into the threaded tubular part of the barrel shaft 21.
In the latter - is partially nested the axis 28 of the oscillating weight 29 driven against a collar 30 of this axis whose lower pivot rotates in the bottom of the shaft 21 forming a bearing (crapau dine), while the upper pivot is adjusted and rotates in the bridge 7, the axis 28 passing through the tubular screw 26 '. The oscillating mass carries an impulse pawl 31 (not shown in FIG. 2) which is engaged in an automatic winding wheel 32 mounted loose on said collar 30 of axle 28.
The wheel 32, which is driven by the pawl 31 on each oscillation (double half-wave) of the mass 29, controls the barrel ratchet 26, by means of a gear train comprising a wheel 33 with a pin 34 , a wheel 35 and a pinion 36, the latter meshing with the barrel ratchet 26.
Now, this pinion 36 is a sliding pinion with ratchet teeth forming with the wheel 35 a latching thanks to which the rotational movement of the automatic winding wheel 32 is transmitted to the barrel ratchet 26 in one direction, as is the crown ratchet movement 27 during manual re-assembly. On the other hand, the winding movement of this crown ratchet is irreversible on the winding wheel 32, because, during manual winding, it is the barrel ratchet which drives the sliding pinion 36, the rotational movement of which is however inoperative. on the wheel 35, thanks to the click between these two parts.
The incorporation of such a snap-fit in the transmission train avoids disturbances in the operation of the snap-lock stage 31, 32 during manual winding of the motor barrel. However, this member is known and has already been applied for the same purpose to certain mixed re-assembly watch movements (manual and automatic); it is mentioned here only for the record in order to facilitate understanding of the invention.
The oscillating weight passes above the cock 8 of the balance 37 and the barrel bridge 4; its angle of oscillation is limited by bridges 6 and 7, the boards of which could be provided with shock-absorbing stops.
The operation of the watch movement described is briefly as follows: With the mainspring loaded, the drum 3 drives the center pinion 9, the center wheel 10, the pinion 22, the middle wheel 23 and the exhaust pinion 24 On the other hand, the middle wheel 23 controls the pinion 17 and the seconds wheel 18. The 11 minute axis activates the timer (framing) as usual.
Manual winding of the barrel takes place by means of a winding mechanism and setting the time by pulling the crown. The crown ratchet 27 then drives the barrel ratchet 26 and the sliding pinion 36 of the ratchet 35, 36.
This pinion does not drag the wheel 35.- During automatic winding by the oscillating mass 29, the latter controls the wheel 32 by the impulse pawl 31, and the wheel 32 turns the barrel ratchet 26 by the intermediate of the return wheels 33, 34, 35 and 36, the latching 35, 36 being active when the wheel 35 is driving.
The rotational movement of the barrel ratchet is transmitted only to the neck ratchet 27 and to the winding wheel cooperating with the sliding pinion (sliding pinion), which is not driven, of the manual re-assembly mechanism.
