Description
verfahren zur Herstellung einer einen Fettrest enthaltenden Verbindung. Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Herstellung .einer neuen, einen Fettrest enthaltenden Verbindung, welche als solche als Textilbehandlungsmittel. wertvoll ist und durch Erhitzen von Hexamethylolmelamin- hexamethylhther mit Methylolstearamid er halten wird.
Die Umsetzung kann gewünschtenfalls in Gegenwart eines, Verdünnungsmittels, z. B. Aceton, Äthylalkohol oder Athylacetat, durchgeführt werden. Bei der Umsetzung entwickeln sich Formaldehyd und Methyl alkohol; die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig so lauge fortgesetzt, bis keine weiteren Dämpfe entwickelt werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 50 Teile Hexamethylolmelamin-hexame- thyläther und 100 Teile Methylolstearamid werden zusammen gerührt und unter einem Druck von 50 mm Hg auf 135" C erhitzt, wobei das Gemisch schmilzt. Unter Entwiek- lung von Dämpfen tritt Reaktion ein; man erhitzt solange, bis die Blasenbildung aufge hört hat.
Die so entstandene, einen: Fettrest enthal tende Verbindung ist nach,dem Erkalten ein farbloses Wachs, welches sich in Kohlen- wa,sserstofflösungsmittedn unter Bildung kla rer Lösungen löst. In Wasser ist es nur bis zu einem gewissen Grade löslich, doch lässt es sich darin dispergieren.

The present invention relates to the production of a new compound containing a fat residue, which as such is used as a textile treatment agent. is valuable and is kept by heating Hexamethylolmelamin- hexamethylhther with Methylolstearamid.
The reaction can, if desired, in the presence of a diluent, e.g. B. acetone, ethyl alcohol or ethyl acetate are carried out. During the reaction, formaldehyde and methyl alcohol develop; the reaction is expediently continued until no further vapors are evolved.
<I> Example: </I> 50 parts of hexamethylolmelamine hexamethyl ether and 100 parts of methylol stearamide are stirred together and heated to 135 ° C. under a pressure of 50 mm Hg, the mixture melting. A reaction occurs with the development of vapors one; one heats until the formation of bubbles has stopped.
The resulting compound, which contains a fat residue, is, after cooling, a colorless wax which dissolves in hydrocarbons to form clear solutions. It is only soluble to a certain extent in water, but it can be dispersed in it.
