Description

Rotisserie The present invention relates to a rotisserie comprising an oven comprising an arch and side walls, characterized in that it has a bottom limited by two transverse walls and carrying the oven containing a cooking utensil, said oven being closed by on the one hand by one of the transverse walls and terminating on the other hand in an opening made in the other transverse wall, said transverse walls being connected by two movable longitudinal grids, removable and located on either side of the walls of the oven ,

this last being surmounted by a removable horizontal grid resting on the transverse walls and delimits with the outer wall of the oven, the longitudinal grids and the transverse walls a space intended to contain a solid fuel allowing food to be cooked simultaneously in the oven, on the horizontal rack and in front of the longitudinal shelves.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the rotisserie which is the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a front elevational view thereof. Fig. 2 is a side elevation view thereof. Fig. 3 is a section on 1-1 of FIG. 2. FIG. 4 shows an enlarged construction detail. Fig. 5 is a perspective view of an accessory.

The rotisserie shown is made of sheet metal and comprises a base 1 at the ends of which are welded two transverse walls 2 and 3, the wall 3 being pierced with an orifice 7. On the base 1 is also fixed by welding, an oven 4 having two walls lateral 5 and a vault 6 in the shape of an inverted V. The oven 4 is placed between the transverse walls 2 and 3 so as to be closed by the wall 2 and that its inlet ends in the orifice 7 of the wall 3.

Between the transverse walls 2 and 3, on either side of the side walls 5 of the furnace 4, two longitudinal grids 8, having small solid side walls 9, are fixed in rotation by means of screws 10, engaged in the lower part. transverse walls 2 and 3 and in the partitions 9. The longitudinal grids 8 can pivot, in the direction of arrow 11, from their out-of-use position to the vertical position, in order to reduce the size of the rotisserie and facilitate transport. The fixing of the longitudinal grids 8 by means of screws 10 allows them to be changed quickly in the event of damage.

In order to limit their movement in the direction of arrow 13, the longitudinal grids 8 present, at the upper end of their lateral partitions 9, a folded part 12 (FIG. 4) intended to abut against a curved strip 14 fixed inside the transverse walls 2 and 3. On the latter is placed a grid 15, horizontal and removable, surmounting the vault 6 of the oven 4 and resting on the upper edge of said walls 2 and 3.

The horizontal grid 15 defines, with the longitudinal grids 8, the transverse walls 2 and 3 and the outer wall of the furnace 4, a space 16 intended to contain a solid fuel 17, such as coal or wood for example.

In order to allow the fuel 17 to slide between the longitudinal grids 8 and the side walls 5 of the furnace 4, the vault 6 of the latter must be sloping. It is also planned to produce an oven 4 whose vault would be cylindrical in shape. To prevent the fuel or its ashes from escaping from their housing 16, the longitudinal grids 8 have at their lower end a curved part 18.

In the oven 4 is placed a cooking utensil 19 comprising a container 20 in the form of a semi-cylinder, the side walls 21 of which are folded downwards so as to form a support 22. The container 20 is closed transversely by a wall 23, the height of which does not exceed that of the side walls 21, and by a vertical plate 24 which aims to close the entrance to the oven 4. The plate 24 is provided, on the outside, with an operating handle 25.

In order to isolate the roasting pan from the ground, the bottom 1 is provided with legs 26 in the form of a U.

To facilitate the operation of the roasting pan and the cooking utensil 19 when they are hot, an instrument 27 is provided comprising an insulated handle 28 in which is fixed a flat iron 29 whose end 30 is curved (fig. 5). ) so as to be able to be engaged in the handle 25 of the cooking uten sile or in handles 31 fixed on the transverse walls 2 and 3 of the rotisserie.

The operation of the rotisserie is as follows: after having moved the longitudinal grids 8 apart in the direction of arrow 13, the space 16 is filled with fuel 17 and the horizontal grate 15 is placed on the transverse walls 2 and 3. In burning, the fuel 17 heats the oven 4, the horizontal grid 15 and the longitudinal grids 8, which offers the possibility of cooking food at four points simultaneously, that is to say in the oven 4, on the grid 15 and in front of the longitudinal grids 8.

In order to avoid dirtying the inside of the oven 4, it is practical to wrap the food that you want to cook in metal foils that are available on the market for this purpose.
