Um den Deckel 7 zu schliessen, muss man auf den Drehgriff 32 drücken, und zwar sowohl nach hinten, um die Kraft der Feder 29a zu überwinden, als .auch nach unten, um den Widerstand der Dich teng 13 so weit zu überwinden, dass der Halterand 19 die Zarge 1.6 untergereift;
hierauf muss man den Drehgriff 32 @um 90 drehen, damit der Drehriegel 37 -die Zarge 16 hintergereift. Gegenüber der Aus führungsform des Hauptpatentes, bei welcher die Schliesslage der Halteklappe 18 automatisch :durch Zuschlagen des Deckels 7 erreicht wird, ist jetzt eine gewisse, allerdings sehr geringe Mehrarbeit zu lei sten;
Steam boiler The main patent relates to a steam boiler with a hinged lid for closing the cooking vessel and a valve that can be opened before the lid is opened for the purpose of discharging the steam. According to the patent claim of the main patent, this steam boiler is characterized in that a seal is provided between the lid and a frame formed above by the cooking vessel, the sealing effect of which is reinforced by the steam pressure prevailing in the cooking vessel, and that a retaining flap is pivotably attached to the lid ,
.which has an obliquely upwardly directed retaining edge which, in the closed position, engages under a downwardly directed frame formed by the frame, so that the retaining flap and thus the lid are locked in the closed position as long as the steam has not been released through the valve.
In this way, it is possible to create a very simple Sicherheitsver locking the lid in its closed position without mechanical coupling of the valve with a toggle lock or the like.
The preferred embodiment of the steam boiler described in the main patent is laid out so that when the lid is closed, the retaining edge of the retaining flap automatically comes into the closed position. However, it has been found that if the adjustment is not accurate enough, e.g.
B. as a result of not taking into account the aging of the seal, the automatic closing of the retaining flap sometimes does not take place properly, so that the kettle is then put into function, in the opinion that it is closed while it is actually still open.
To avoid this disadvantage, the steam boiler according to the present invention is characterized in that a rotary handle is mounted on the retaining flap, which is firmly connected to a rotary bolt which is to be brought into a closed position by hand to close the lid this rotary latch engages behind the downward-facing frame of the cooking vessel frame.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. It is: Fig. 1 is a vertical partial section along the line 1-I of Fig. 2 through a steam boiler with the lid closed, Fig. 2 is a view of the retaining flap in the direction of the arrow II of Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 is one of Figs 2 Corresponding view of the retaining flap with the handle rotated into the open position.
The present Fig. 1 corresponds to Fig. 2 of the drawing of the main patent, the same reference numerals being used for the same parts.
The steam boiler, in turn, has a body 1 of cuboid shape, which mainly consists of a cooking vessel 3, a heat insulation 4 and a casing 5. To close the cooking vessel 3, a lid 7 is provided, which mainly consists of a sheet metal shuttering 10 and a thermal insulation 1! 1 contained therein. The cover 7 is linked to the body 1 by hinges (not shown) and is provided with a safety and steam release valve (also not shown).
On its lower side, the Blechverscha treatment 10 forms a groove 12 which extends along the entire periphery of the cover and in which the upper part of a seal 13 is captured. The seal 13 used to seal the cooking vessel 3 has an inwardly projecting, tapering leg 14 which, in the illustrated closed position, moves against a horizontal frame 15 of the vessel 3 under the action of the steam pressure in the vessel, indicated by arrows -Applies, whereby a seal that increases with increasing steam pressure is achieved.
The frame 15 has a downwardly directed frame 16 which is attached to a formwork 5 to give reinforcing tape 17, for. B. by welding. To keep the lid 7 closed, a retaining flap 18 is provided, which is attached to the lid 7 on the side opposite the hinge and has a retaining edge 19 inclined upwards at the bottom,
which in the closed position ripened under the frame 16. The ideal pivot axis 20 of the flap 18 is represented by a small circle.
To articulate the flap 18 on the cover 7, two hinge pieces 22 are provided, each of which is held by means of two nuts 23 on a screw bolt 25 attached to one end of the holding flap 18, which passes through a smooth bore 26 in the hinge piece 22.
Each hinge piece 22 lies between two vertical tabs 21 which are welded to an associated reinforcement band 2l a: of the cover 7 and thus lie one behind the other in the direction of view of FIG.
The hinge piece 22 is provided on its sides facing the two tabs with projecting pins 27 lying in alignment with one another, which are mounted in corresponding bearing eyes provided in the tabs 21. With 24 between -the hinge 22 and the nuts 25 are referred to on ordered washers. It is obvious that you can adjust the position of the retaining edge in relation to the frame 1-6 by means of the nuts 25.
As far as the present Kochikessel corresponds to the embodiment shown in the main patent. Instead of a rigid, bow-shaped handle provided in this embodiment, however, there is now in the middle: the retaining flap 1:
8, a rotary handle 32 is provided, which is firmly connected by means of a pin 33 to a pivot pin 34 which is mounted in a bearing eye 35 provided on the retaining flap 18.
At the end of the pin 34 facing away from the handle 3.2, the same wire is formed into a rotary bolt 37 which is formed by a circular collar 38 protruding radially over the pin 34, from which a piece along a chord 39 is cut away on one side is.
The retaining edge 19 of the retaining flap 18 has a gap 40 in the area of the collar 318 so that the rotary handle 32 can be rotated 90 from its open position shown in FIG. 3 into the closed position according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
The rotary bolt 37 passes through the gap 40 of the retaining edge 19 and is rear-matured in a short, central section of the frame 16, provided that the retaining flap is pressed into the closed position by means of the rotary handle 32 before it is turned.
In each hinge piece 22, a recess 28a is provided below the ideal axis of rotation 20, in which the end of a compression spring 29a is accommodated, which is supported at its other end on the reinforcing strip 21a.
The spring 29a, in contrast to a spring designated by 29 in the main patent, endeavors to pivot the flap 1, 8 in the direction of rotation of the clock in FIG. So that the flap 18 is not opened too far, an adjusting screw 30a is provided which is screwed into a threaded hole 31a provided in the hinge piece 22 above the ideal axis of rotation 20.
To close the cover 7, you have to press the twist grip 32, both backwards to overcome the force of the spring 29a, as well as downwards to overcome the resistance of the tight 13 so that the Retaining edge 19 the frame 1.6 matured under;
then you have to turn the rotary handle 32 @ by 90 so that the rotary bolt 37 -the frame 16 matures behind. Compared to the implementation of the main patent, in which the closed position of the retaining flap 18 automatically: is achieved by slamming the lid 7, a certain, but very little extra work is now to be performed most;
but you are also absolutely certain that the closed position has actually been reached, and that not as a result of: an incorrect setting of the adjusting screw @ (30 in the main patent) and / or the adjusting nuts 23 (e.g. as a result of aging of the seal 13) the retaining flap 18 has actually not reached the closed position, so that when the heating is switched on, the steam that forms. the improperly closed cover 7 escapes.
The advantage of the embodiment of the main patent is retained in its entirety, namely that in order to be able to open the lid 7, the steam must first be released, because otherwise it is not possible to lower the retaining edge 19 so far that it can get past the frame 16.
