bedeuten, wobei die Kerne I und/oder II des heterocycli-schen Restes Z weitere Substituenten tragen und/oder die Sulfogruppen auch in Salzform vorliegen können, die sich hervorragend als Direktfarbstoffe zum Färben und Bedruk-ken hydroxylgruppenhaltiger oder stickstoffhaltiger natürli- 5 eher oder synthetischer Fasermaterialien eignen.
Bi bedeutet vorzugsweise einen im Naphthalinkern eine oder zwei Sulfogruppen enthaltende N-mono- oder N,N-disubstituierten l-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-7-, 2-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-7- oder 3-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl- 10 7-Rest, oder einen im Naphthalinkern eine oder zwei Sulfogruppen enthaltenden N-mono- oder N,N-disubsti-tuierten 2-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-l- oder 3-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-4-Rest.

Bevorzugt sind solche einwertigen Reste Bi, in denen die Gruppe -NR2R3 eine durch Alkyl mit 1—4 C-Atomen mono-oder disubstituierte oder durch Aryl oder Aroyl, jeweils mit 6—12 C-Atomen im Arylrest, monosubstituierte oder durch Acyl mit 2—5 C-Atomen, Hydroxyalkyl mit 2—4 C-Atomen, Sulfoalkyl, Carboxyalkyl, jeweils mit 1—4 C-Atomen im Alkylrest mono- oder disubstituierte Aminogruppe ist.
Leitet sich B2 von einer Kupplungskomponente der Benzolreihe ab, so ist es ein Phenylrest der durch Amino und/oder Hydroxy mono- oder disubstituiert ist, wobei die Aminogruppen auch durch Alkylreste mono- oder disubstituiert oder durch Aryl, Aroyl oder Acyl monosubstituiert,
oder durch Acyl und Alkyl oder Aryl und Alkyl disubstituiert oder durch Carboxyalkyl, Sulfoalkyl oder Hydroxyalkyl mono- oder disubstituiert sein können. Leitet sich B2 von einer Kupplungskomponente der Naphthalinreihe ab, so ist es ein 1-Naphthyl- oder 2-Naphthylrest der mono- oder disubstituiert ist durch substituierte Aminogruppen und/oder Hydroxylgruppen, wobei die Aminogruppen durch Alkylreste mono- oder disubstituiert oder durch Aryl, Aroyl oder Acyl mono-substituiert oder durch Acyl und Alkyl oder Aryl und Alkyl disubstituiert oder durch Carboxyalkyl, Sulfoalkyl oder Hydroxyalkyl mono- oder disubstituiert sind. Ferner kann der Phenyl- bzw. Naphthylkern der Reste B2 noch durch Alkyl, Alkoxy, Alkylthio, Hydroxy, Cyan,
Nitro, Sulfo, Carboxy, Halogen, Alkoxycarbonyl, Acyl oder 40 Aroyl substituiert sein. Hierbei haben die in B2 enthaltenen Alkyl-, Alkoxy-, Alkylthio- und Alkoxycarbonylreste 1—4 C-Atome, die Aryl- und Aroylreste 6—12 C-Atome, die Acyl-reste 2—5 C-Atome, die Carboxyalkyl- und Sulfoalkylreste 1—2 C-Atome und die Hydroxyalkylreste 2 C-Atome. 45
In einer bevorzugten Gruppe von erfindungsgemäss herstellbaren Farbstoffen steht B2 für einen Phenylrest, der durch Amino und/oder Hydroxy mono- oder disubstituiert ist, wobei Aminogruppen einen Sulfoäthyl-, Sulfomethyl-, Carboxy-i methyl-, Carboxyäthyl-, Hydroxyäthyl-, Acetyl-, Benzoyl-, 50 Phenyl- oder Tolyl-Substituenten oder eine oder zwei Methyl- oder Äthylsubstituenten tragen können und der Phenylrest auch noch durch Alkyl mit 1—2 C-Atorflen, Alkoxy mit 1—2 C-Atomen, Carboxy, Sulfo, Chlor, Nitro monosubstituiert sein kann. 55
Eine weitere bevorzugte Gruppe erfindungsgemäss herstellbarer Farbstoffe enthält für B2 einen a- oder /j-Naphthyl-rest, der durch eine substituierte Amino und/oder eine Hydroxy mono- oder disubstituiert ist, wobei Aminogruppen einen Sulfoäthyl, Sulfomethyl-, Carboxymethyl-, Carboxy- 60 äthyl-, Hydroxyäthyl-, Acetyl-, Benzoyl-, Phenyl- oder Tolyl-Substituenten oder eine oder zwei Methyl- oder Äthylsubstituenten tragen können und der Naphthylrest auch noch durch Sulfo, Carboxy, Chlor, monosubstituiert'oder durch -SO3H disubstituiert sein kann.
Leitet sich der Rest der Kupplungskomponente B2 in den erfindungsgemäss herstellbaren Farbstoffen von der Pyrazo-

Die Tetrazotierung der heterocyclischen Diamine der Formel XII sowie die oben angeführten Kupplungsreaktionen mit den Kupplungskomponenten Bi — H (VIII) und/oder B2 — H (Xin) werden vorzugsweise in wässrigem Medium durchgeführt. Im wässrigen Medium können gegebenenfalls mit Wasser mischbare organische Lösungsmittel, beispielsweise Alkohole wie Methanol oder Äthanol, vorhanden sein.
Die angeführten Kupplungsreaktionen können in Gegenwart an sich bekannter Kupplungsbeschleuniger, beispielsweise Pyridin, Harnstoff oder Thioharnstoff, durchgeführt werden.

Bei den Benzimidazolen mit X = -NH- ist eine Tautomerie möglich, so dass z. B. zwischen der 5- und 6-Stellung nicht unterschieden werden kann. Falls im Kern II noch weitere Substituenten vorhanden sind, ergeben sich zwei verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Bezifferung, was vorstehend berücksichtigt worden ist.
Weiterhin sind alle diejenigen heterocyclischen Diamine für die Herstellung erfindungsgemässer Disazofarbstoffe geeignet, die gemäss der in der DE-OS 2 424 462, Seite 13 bis 19 angegebenen Herstellungsmethoden erhalten werden können.
Die heterocyclischen Diamine XII sind unsymmetrisch aufgebaut. Bei der Kupplung eines tetrazotierten heterocyclischen Diamins XII mit einer Kupplungskomponente Bi — H (VIII) oder Bs — H (XIII) können zwei Möglichkeiten eintreten, je nachdem, welche Seite des tetrazotierten Diamins zuerst ankuppelt. Entsprechend diesen beiden Möglichkeiten sind für die Endarbstoffe I folgende zwei Strukturen gegeben:

Aus der DE-PS 70 983 sind Disazofarbstoffe, aus der DE-ÒS 2 347 849 Trisazofarbstoffe bekannt, die als Mittelkomponente 4',5-Diamino-2-phenylbenzimidazol enthalten. Diese bekannten Farbstoffe lassen jedoch in bezug auf Nass-echtheiten, insbesondere Schweissechtheit, zu wünschen übrig und zeigen ein unzureichendes Ausziehvermögen. Dies hat

zur Folge, dass einerseits die Färb tief e der Färbung relativ gering ist und andererseits Farbstoff mit der Restflotte verloren geht bzw. hoher Aufwand zu ökologisch einwandfreier Entfernung des Restfarbstoffs aus dem Färbereiabwasser nötig ist. S
Die erfindungsgemäss herstellbaren Disazofarbstoffe der Formel I eignen sich hervorragend als Direktfarbstoffe zum Färben und Bedrucken hydroxylgruppenhaltiger oder stickstoffhaltiger natürlicher oder synthetischer Fasermaterialien, insbesondere von Baumwolle und Regeneratcellulose so- m wie von Wolle, Halbwolle, Seide, Polyamid, Leder und Papier.
Das Färben und Bedrucken erfolgt nach den üblichen Verfahren.
Man erhält auf den genannten Substraten braune, rote, violette und blaue Färbungen hoher Farbstärke.
Die Färbungen zeichnen sich durch gute Echtheitseigenschaften, insbesondere durch gute Nassechtheiten, beispielsweise Wasserechtheit, Wäsche 40° C, Wäsche 60° C sowie durch gute Schweissechtheiten (alkalisch und sauer) und

Säureechtheiten aus. Sofern X = -N-, insbesondere -N- ist, ziehen die neuen Aminonaphthol-Disazofarbstoffe beim Färben nach dem Ausziehverfahren weitgehend auf die zu färbenden Fasermaterialien auf, so dass eine fast klare Restflotte erhalten wird. Die beschriebenen Farbstoffe sind nächstvergleichbaren bekannten Farbstoffen im Hinblick auf Farbstärke und Substantivität sowie auf die oben genannten

Echtheiten der Färbungen wesentlich überlegen. Die neuen Farbstoffe sind besonders zum Färben von Fasern aus Baumwolle und Regeneratcellulose sowie zum Färben von Polyamid, Leder und Papier geeignet.
In den folgenden Beispielen bedeuten Teile Gewichtsteile, Prozente Gewichtsprozente, die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.
Beispiel 1
a) 22,4 Teile 2-[4'-Aminophenyl]-5 (bzw. 6)-amino-benzimidazol werden in einem Gemisch aus 200 Teilen Wasser und 50 Teilen 30%iger wässriger Salzsäure unter Zugabe von Eis bei 0—5° C mit einer Lösung von 13,8 Teilen Na-triumnitril in 50 Teilen Wasser tetrazotiert. Anschliessend rührt man 1 Stunde bei 0—5° C nach und entfernt überschüssige salpetrige Säure mit Amidosulfonsäure. Zu der Lösung der Tetrazokomponente gibt man in ca. 15 Minuten eine Lösung von 15,6 Teilen 2-Hydroxy-benzoesäure und 40 Teilen Natriumcarbonat in 150 Teilen Wasser. Die halbseitige Kupplung ist nach 2—Sstündigem Nachrühren bei 0—5° C beendet.
Zu der Suspension des so entstandenen diazotierten Mono-azofarbstoffs fügt man dann rasch eine neutrale Lösung von 26,7 Teilen 2-Dimethylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalin-6-sulfon-säure in 150 Teüen Wasser und lässt das Kupplungsgemisch 3 Stunden bei pH 8—10 nachrühren. Anschliessend wird der mit Hilfe von 50 Teilen Natriumchlorid bei pH 7,5—8 abgeschiedene braune Disazofarbstoff der Struktur

b) In einem Färbebecher, der sich in einem beheizbaren Bad befindet, stellt man bei 40° C eine Lösung von 0,2 Teilen Natriumcarbonat und 4 Teilen Glaubersalz in 200 Teilen Wasser her.
Dann fügt man 0,2 Teile des nach Beispiel 1 dargestellten Farbstoffs zu. In der fertigen Färbeflotte hält man 10 g Baumwollgewebe ständig in Bewegung, erhöht die Temperatur auf 95° C und färbt 45 Minuten bei dieser Temperatur weiter. Das gefärbte Baumwollgewebe wird darauf der nur noch schwach gefärbten Restflotte entnommen und die noch anhaftende Flotte durch Auswringen entfernt. Anschliessend spült man das gefärbte Material mit kaltem Wasser und trocknet bei 60° C.
Man erhält eine gelbstichig braune Färbung hoher Farb-stärke mit guten Echtheitseigenschaften, insbesondere mit guten Waschechtheiten und Schweissechtheiten sowie guter Säurebeständigkeit.

Beispiel 2
22,4 Teile 2-[4'-Aminophenyl]-5 (bzw. 6)-aminobenz-imidazol werden nach den Angaben des Beispiels 1 tetrazotiert. Die erhaltene gelbbraune Tetrazolösung wird anschliessend mit 10°/oiger wässriger Natriumcarbonatlösung auf pH 3 abgestumpft.
Dann fügt man im Verlauf von ca. 10 Minuten eine Lösung von 36,1 Teilen l-Acetylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalin-3,6-disulfonsäure, 4 Teilen Natriumhydroxid und 20 Teilen Natriumcarbonat in 150 Teilen Wasser zur abgestumpften Lösung der Tetrazokomponente und lässt 10 Minuten bei 0 bis 5° C und bei pH 7,5 bis 8,5 nachrühren. Das Kupplungsgemisch wird anschliessend rasch mit einer Lösung aus 31,5 Teilen 2-Phenylamino-8-hydroxynaphthaIin-6-sulfon-säure, 4 Teilen Natriumhydroxid und 20 Teilen Natriumcarbonat in 200 Teilen Wasser versetzt. Zur Vervollständigung der Kupplungsreaktion lässt man 3 Stunden bei pH 8—10 nachrühren, stellt mit 30%iger wässriger Salzsäure einen pH-Wert von 7,5 ein, filtriert und trocknet den blauen Disazofarbstoff der Struktur

blaue Färbung mit guten Echtheitseigenschaften, insbesondere mit guten Waschechtheiten und guten Schweissechtheiten.

Beispiel 3
a) 22,4 Teile 2-[4'-Aminophenyl]-5-(bzw. 6)-amino-benz-imidazol werden in einer Mischung aus 200 Teilen Wasser und 50 Teilen 30%iger wässriger Salzsäure nach Zugabe von Eis bei 0—5° C mit einer Lösung von 13,8 Teilen Natriumnitrit in 50 Teilen Wasser tetrazotiert. Man rührt 1 Stunde nach und entfernt überschüssige salpetrige Säure mit Amido-sulfonsäure. Die gelbbraune Lösung der Tetrazokomponente wird darauf in ca. 10 Minuten mit einer Lösung von 15,6 Teilen 2-Hydroxybenzoesäure und 40 Teilen Natriumcarbo-

nat in 150 Teilen Wasser versetzt. Die halbseitige Kupplung ist nach 2—3stündigem Nachrühren bei pH 8—10 beendet.
Anschliessend stellt man die Suspension des diazotierten Monoazofarbstoffs mit 30%iger wässriger Salzsäure auf pH 3 und fügt 20 Teile Natriumacetat zu.
Darauf lässt man innerhalb 1 Stunde eine neutrale Lösung von 31,1 Teilen 2-Hydroxyäthylamino-8-hydroxynaph-thalin-6-sulfonsäure in 150 Teilen Wasser zulaufen. Zur Vervollständigung der sauren Kupplungsreaktion lässt man ca. 12 Stunden bei pH 4—5 und 40 bis 50° C nachrühren.
Der rote Disazofarbstoff der Struktur

SOaNa wird filtriert und bei 60—70° C getrocknet.
b) In einem Färbebecher stellt man bei 40° C eine Lösung von 0,2 Teilen Natriumcarbonat, 4 Teilen Glaubersalz und 0,2 Teilen des nach Beispiel 3 hergestellten Farbstoffes her. 25 In der fertigen Färbeflotte hält man anschliessend 10 g Baumwollgewebe ständig in Bewegung, erhöht die Temperatur auf 95° C und färbt 45 Minuten bei dieser Temperatur weiter. Das gefärbte Baumwollgewebe wird darauf der nur noch schwach gefärbten Restflotte entnommen und die noch 30 anhaftende Flotte durch Auswringen entfernt. Anschliessend spült man das gefärbte Material mit kaltem Wasser und trocknet bei 60° C.
Man erhält eine rote Färbung hoher Farbstärke mit guten Echtheitseigenschaften, insbesondere mit guten Wasch- 35 und Schweissechtheiten.
Beispiel 4
22,4 Teile 2-[4'-Aminophenyl]-5 (bzw. 6)-aminobenzimid-
azol werden nach den Angaben des Beispiels 3a) tetrazotiert. Anschliessend wird im Verlauf von 2 Stunden eine neutrale Lösung von 29,7 Teilen 2-Carboxymethylamino-8-hydroxy-naphthalin-8-sulfonsäure in 100 Teilen Wasser zur sauren Lösung der Tetrakomponente getropft. Zur Vervollständigung der halbseitigen Kupplungsreaktion stellt man durch Einstreuen von Natriumacetat einen pH-Wert von 4,5 ein und lässt 10 bis 14 Stunden bei 5 bis 15° C nachrühren. Die Suspension des diazotierten Monoazofarbstoffs wird anschliessend mit einer Lösung von 36,1 Teilen 1-Acetyl-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalin-3,6-disulfonsäure, 4 Teilen Natriumhydroxid und 40 Teilen Natriumcarbonat in 150 Teilen Wasser versetzt.
Man lässt 2 bis 3 Stunden bei pH 8—10 nachrühren',
fügt 50 Teile Natriumchlorid zu und stellt das Kupplungsgemisch mit 30%iger wässriger Salzsäure auf pH 7,5. Der violette Disazofarbstoff der Struktur

worin Bi, B2 und Z die in Anspruch 1 angegebene Bedeutung haben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel

dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel

Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 zur Herstellung wasserlöslicher Disazofarbstoffe der Formel I, worin Bi ein im Naphthalinkern eine oder zwei Sulfogruppen enthaltender, gegebenenfalls N-mono- oder N,N-disubsti-tuierter l-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-7-, 2-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-7- oder 3-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-7-Rest ist,
dadurch gekennzeiclmet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel yO [©N=N-Z-N=N-B2 (XI)
worin y© Anion einer Mineralsäure, wie Salzsäure oder Schwefelsäure, ist,
im pH-Bereich von 7 bis 14 mit einer Kupplungskomponente der Formel

dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel y© [®N=N-Z-N=N-B2 (XI)
im pH-Bereich von 0 bis 6 mit Kupplungskomponenten der Formel

dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel

7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2 zur Herstellung wasserlöslicher Disazofarbstoffe der Formel I, worin BI ein im Naphthalinkern eine oder zwei Sulfogruppen enthaltender, gegebenenfalls N-mono- oder N,N-disubsti-tuierter 2-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-l-, oder 3-Amino-8-hydroxynaphthyl-4-Rest ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man einen diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel
