Description
Die Erfindung betrifft neue 1,2,3-Thiadiazol-5-carbonsäu-rederivate, Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Verbindungen 25 sowie diese enthaltende Mittel mit herbizider und wuchsregu-latorischer sowie fungizider Wirkung.
In der Pflanzenproduktion hat die Unkrautbekämpfung drei wesentliche Funktionen zu erfüllen: sie muss die Erträge sichern, die Verwertbarkeit der Ernteprodukte gewährleisten 30 sowie die Arbeits- und die Produktionsbedingungen verbessern. Vielfach schafft die moderne Unkrautbekämpfung erst die Voraussetzung für die Vollmechanisierung einer Betriebssparte oder die Möglichkeiten für die Einführung neuer Techniken. Veränderungen dieser Art haben starke Auswir-35 lcungen auf die landwirtschaftliche und gärtnerische Betriebswirtschaft, so dass allgemeine wie spezielle technische Fortschritte gerade auf dem Gebiet der Herbizide sehr gefragt sind, zumal die bekannten Mittel dieser Art die an sie gestellten Anforderungen nicht in vollem Umfang erfüllen 40 können.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Schaffung eines Mittels, das eine Verbesserung der Unkrautbekämpfungstechnik ermöglicht.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss durch ein Mittel 45 gelöst, das gekennzeichnet ist durch einen Gehalt an mindestens einer erfindungsgemässen Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel I

Die Verbindungen zeichnen sich überraschenderweise durch eine herausragende boden- und/oder blattherbizide Wirkung gegen Samenunkräuter sowie ausdauernde Unkräuter aus und übertreffen auch in dieser Hinsicht bekannte konstitutionsanaloge Verbindungen gleicher Wirkungsrichtung. Die Wirkung ist zum Teil systemisch. Besonders vorteilhaft bekämpfbar sind dikotyle und monokotyle Unkrautarten der Gattungen Digitalis, Trifolium, Portulaca, Papaver, Daucus, Kochia, Gypsophila, Lactua, Solanum, Eschholtzia, Cheiranthus, Phacelia, Euphorbia, Linum, Con-volvulus, Brassica, Datura, Cichorium, Ipomoea, Setaria, Agrostis, Phleum, Alopecurus, Phalaris, Dactylis, Festuca, Arrhenaterum, Lolium, Bromus, Avena, Allium, Medicago, Stellaria, Senecio, Matricaria, Lamium, Centaurea, Ama-ranthus, Galium, Chrysanthemum, Polygonum, Sorghum, Echinochloa, Digitaria, Cyperus, Poa und andere.
Die Aufwandmengen betragen für eine Unkrautbekämpfung 0,5 bis 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha.
Eine selektive Unkrautbekämpfung ist zum Beispiel in Kulturen wie Getreide, Baumwolle, Sojabohnen oder auch in Plantagenkulturen möglich. Die grösste Wirkung entfalten diese Wirkstoffe, wenn sie entweder auf einen vorhandenen Unkrautbestand oder bereits vor dessen Auflaufen gespritzt werden. Die genannten Säkulturen könen auch einige Tage nach der Spritzung gedrillt werden.
Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen können auch die natürliche Entwicklung der Pflanzen verändern zum Erreichen verschiedener landwirtschaftlich oder gärtnerisch nutzbarer Eigenschaften. Es ist verständlich, dass nicht jede Verbindung gleiche regulierende Wirkungen bei jeder Pflanzenart und abhängig von Anwendungsart, Anwendungstermin oder Anwendungskonzentration hervorruft. Die Applikation der erfindungsgemässen Verbindung kann erfolgen auf Samen, Keimlingen vor oder nach dem Auflaufen, auf Wurzeln, Stengel, Blätter, Blüten, Früchte oder andere Pflanzenteile.
Im allgemeinen ist die Steuerung des natürlichen Pflanzenwachstums visuell zu erkennen an Veränderungen von Grösse, Form, Farbe oder Struktur der behandelten Pflanze oder ihrer Teile.
Beispielhaft werden folgende, durch die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen verursachbare Entwicklungsveränderungen der Pflanzen genannt:
Vergrösserung der Blätter, Hemmung des vertikalen Wachstums, Hemmung der Wurzelentwicklung, Anregung des Knospenaustriebes oder der Bestockungstriebe, Intensivierung der Bildung von Pflanzenfarbstoffen, Entblätterung.
Es wurde ausserdem gefunden, dass die gekennzeichneten Verbindungen gegen verschiedene Schadpilze wirksam sind, zum Beispiel gegen Plasmopara viticola, Erysiphe cichora-cearum, Piricularia oryzae, Helminthosporium gramineum und Tilletia caries.
Dies hat den Vorteil, dass gleichzeitig mit der Regulierung des Pflanzenwachstums eine Bekämpfung von pflanzenpath-ogenen Pilzen erreicht werden kann, was von besonderer technischer Bedeutung ist.
Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen können entweder allein, in Mischung miteinander oder mit anderen Wirkstoffen angewendet werden. Gegebenenfalls können andere Entblätterungs-, Pflanzenschutz- oder Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel je nach dem gewünschten Zweck zugesetzt werden.
Sofern eine Verbreiterung des Wirkungsspektrums beabsichtigt ist, können auch andere Biozide zugesetzt werden. Beispielsweise eignen sich als herbizid wirksame Mischungspartner Wirkstoffe aus der Gruppe der Triazine, Aminotria-zole, Anilide, Diazine, Uracile, aliphatischen Carbonsäuren und Halogencarbonsäuren, substituierten Benzoesäuren und Aryloxycarbonsäuren, Hydrazide, Amide, Nitrile, Ester solcher Carbonsäure, Carbamidsäure- und Thiocarbamid-säureester, Harnstoffe, 2,3,6-Trichlorbenzyloxypropanil, rhodanhaltige Mittel und andere Zusätze.
Unter anderen Zusätzen sind zum Beispiel auch nicht phytotoxische Zusätze zu verstehen, die mit Herbiziden eine synergistische Wirkungssteigerung ergeben können, wie unter anderem Netzmittel, Emulgatoren, Lösungsmittel und ölige Zusätze.
Zweckmässig werden die erfindungsgemässen Wirkstoffe oder deren Mischungen in Form von Zubereitungen, wie Pulvern, Streumitteln, Granulaten, Lösungen, Emulsionen oder Suspensionen, unter Zusatz von flüssigen und/oder festen Trägerstoffen beziehungsweise Verdünnungsmitteln und gegebenenfalls von Netz-, Haft-, Emulgier- und/oder Dis-pergierhilfsmitteln, angewandt. Geeignete flüssige Trägerstoffe sind zum Beispiel Wasser, aliphatische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Cyclo-hexanon, Isophoron, Dimethylsulfoxyd, Dimethylfor-mamid, weiterhin Mineralölfraktionen.
Als feste Trägerstoffe eignen sich Mineralerden, zum Beispiel Tonsil, Silicagel, Talkum, Kaolin, Attaclay, Kalkstein, Kieselsäure und pflanzliche Produkte, zum Beispiel Mehle.
An oberflächenaktiven Stoffen sind zu nennen zum Beispiel Calciumligninsulfonat, Polyoxyäthylen-alkylphenol-äther, Naphthalinsulfonsäuren und deren Salze, Phenolsul-fonsäuren und deren Salze, Formaldehydkondensate, Fettalkoholsulfate sowie substituierte Benzolsulfonsäuren und deren Salze.
Der Anteil des bzw. der Wirkstoffe(s) in den verschiedenen Zubereitungen kann in weiten Grenzen variieren. Beispielsweise enthalten die Mittel etwa 10 bis 80 Gewichtsprozente Wirkstoffe, etwa 90 bis 20 Gewichtsprozente flüssige oder feste Trägerstoffe sowie gegebenenfalls bis zu 20 Gewichtsprozente oberflächenaktive Stoffe.
Die Ausbringung der Mittel kann in üblicher Weise erfolgen, zum Beispiel mit Wasser als Träger in Spritzbrühmengen von etwa 100 bis 1000 Liter/ha. Eine Anwendung der Mittel im sogenannten Low-Volume- und Ultra-Low-Volume-Verfahren ist ebenso möglich wie ihre Applikation

gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart säurebindender Mittel umsetzt, worin R, Ri, R:, R':, R.ì, X und Z die oben angeführte Bedeutung haben und Hai ein Halogenatom, vorzugsweise ein Chloratom, darstellt.
Die Umsetzung der Reaktionspartner erfolgt in der Regel zwischen 0° und 120°C, im allgemeinen zwischen Raumtemperatur und Rückflusstemperatur des entsprechenden Reaktionsgemisches.
Zur Synthese der erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen werden gewöhnlich die Reaktanden in etwa äquimolaren Mengen eingesetzt. Geeignete Reaktionsmedien sind gegenüber den Reaktanden inerte Lösungsmittel. Als solche seien genannt:
halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Methylenchlorid, Chloroform, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, aliphatische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Petroläther, Cyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol und Xylol, Alkohole wie Methanol und Äthanol, Ketone wie Aceton, Methylisobutylketon und Iso-phoron, Äther, wie Diäthyläther, Tetrahydrofuran und Dioxan und Carbonsäurenitrile wie Acetonitril.
Als Säureakzeptoren eignen sich insbesondere organische Basen, wie zum Beispiel Triäthylamin oder N,N-Dimethyl-anilin und Pyridinbasen oder anorganische Basen, wie Oxide, Hydroxide und Carbonate der Erdalkali- und Alkalimetalle. Flüssige Basen wie Pyridin können gleichzeitig als Lösungsmittel eingesetzt werden.
Im Fall der Herstellung der entsprechenden Amidine können diese aufgrund ihrer bekannt hohen Basizität selbst als Säurefänger verwendet werden. Man erhält bei dieser Verfahrensweise die Amidine in Form ihrer Hydrohalogenide, aus denen in bekannter Weise die Amidine in Freiheit gesetzt werden können.
Die nach oben genannten Verfahren hergestellten erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen können nach den üblichen Verfahren aus dem Reaktionsgemisch isoliert werden, beispielsweise durch Abdestillieren des eingesetzten Lösungsmittels bei normalem oder vermindertem Druck, durch Ausfällen mit Wasser oder durch fraktionierte Destillation.
Die erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen stellen in der sind an sich bekannt oder können nach an sich bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden.
2s Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern die Herstellung der erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen.
Beispiel 1
4-Methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-(N-cyclohexylmethyl-carboxi-30 midchlorid)
47,8 g (0,2 Mol) 4-Methyl-l,2,3-thiadiazol-5-carbonsäure-(cyclohexylmethyl)-amid, gelöst in 100 ml Toluol, werden mit 41,6 g (0,2 Mol) Phosphorpentachlorid bei Raumtemperatur versetzt und anschliessend 1 Stunde unter Rückfluss 35 erhitzt. Daraufhin wird die Lösung eingeengt und das zurückbleibende Öl mit Cyclohexan digeriert.
Umkristallisation aus Cyclohexan.
Ausbeute: 40,0 g = 77,5% der Theorie 4o Fp.: 51-52°C farblose Kristalle

Beispiel 2
4-Methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-thiocarbonsäure-(cycIohexyl-methyl)-amid
40 g (0,17 Mol) 4-Methyl-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-carbonsäure-(cyclohexylmethyl)-amid werden in 350 ml Toluol unter Sieden gelöst. Innerhalb von 40 Minuten werden 17,78 g (0,08 Mol) Phosphorpentasulfid unter starkem Rühren bei Rückfluss erhitzt. Darauf lässt man abkühlen, dekantiert vom schmierigen Rückstand und engt die Toluollösung ein. Der Rückstand wird in 300 ml Essigester unter Erwärmen aufgenommen. Nach dem Erkalten wird der ausgefallene Schwefel abfiltriert, das Essigesterfiltrat eingeengt und der verbleibende Rückstand aus 250 ml Pentan umkristallisiert.
Ausbeute: 25,2 g = 58,04% der Theorie Fp.: 69-70°C gelbliche Kristalle

Es wird 2 Stünden bei 40°C nachgerührt. Dann wird bei 40°C im Vakuum eingeengt, der Rückstandmit 150 ml Wasser versetzt und 2 x mitje75ml 35 Äther extrahiert. Die organische Phase wird darauf mit gesättigter Natriumhydrogencarbonatlösung gewaschen, über Magnesiumsulfat getrocknet, filtriert und eingeengt. Ausbeute: 12,1 g = 72,9% der Theorie n2D°: 1,5960

Es wird 2 Stunden bei 50°C nachgerührt, dann der Niederschlag abfiltriert und das Filtrat im Vakuum bei 40°C eingeengt. Der Rückstand wird mit 65 150 ml Wasser versetzt und 2x mit je 75 ml Äther extrahiert. Beispiel 7
Im Gewächshaus wurden die in der Tabelle aufgeführten erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen als wässrige Emulsionen bzw. Suspensionen in einer Aufwandmenge von 5 kg Wirk-35 stoff/ha in 600 Liter Wasser/ha auf die Testpflanzen Sinapis (Si), Solanum (So), Beta vulgaris (Be), Gossypium (Go), Hor-deum (Ho), Zea mays (Ze), Lolium (Lo) und Setaria (Se) im Vor- und Nachauflaufverfahren gespritzt. 3 Wochen nach der Behandlung wurde das Behandlungsergebnis bonitiert, 40 wobei:

45 In einem Gewächshausversuch wurden Gurken vor dem Auflaufen mit Aufwandmengen von 0,3 kg/1,0 kg bzw. 3,0 kg/ha der genannten erfindungsgemässen Verbindung behandelt. Dazu wurde der Wirkstoff als 20%iges Emulsionskonzentrat in wässriger Emulsion mit einem Flüssigkeitsauf-50 wand von 500 Liter Spritzbrühe pro Hektar ausgebracht.
Drei Wochen nach der Behandlung wurde der wuchsregu-latorische Effekt durch Messung der Länge und Breite des ersten Laubblattes festgestellt. Die Messergebnisse wurden zu denen bei unbehandelten Kontrollpflanzen in Relation 55 gesetzt. Wie aus den Messergebnissen hervorgeht, trat durch die Behandlung mit der erfindungsgemässen Verbindung eine starke Blattvergrösserung auf. Ausserdem waren die behandelten Pflanzen intensiver grün.

Wirkung prophylaktischer Blattbehandlung gegen Plas-mopara viticola an Weinrebenpflanzen im Gewächshaus.
Junge Weinrebenpflanzen mit etwa 5 bis 8 Blättern wurden mit den angegebenen Wirkstoff-Konzentrationen tropfnass gespritzt, nach Antrocknen des Spritzbelages mit einer wäss-rigen Aufschwemmung von Sporangien des Pilzes (etwa 20 000 pro ml) blattunterseits besprüht und sofort im Gewächshaus bei 22 bis 24°C und möglichst wasserdampfge-sättigter Atmosphäre inkubiert. Vom zweiten Tag an wurde die Luftfeuchtigkeit für 3 bis 4 Tage auf Normalhöhe zurückgenommen (30 bis 70% Sättigung) und dann für einen weiteren Tag auf Wasserdampfsättigung gehalten. Anschliessend wurde von jedem Blatt der prozentuale Anteil pilzbefallener Fläche notiert und der Durchschnitt je Behandlung zur Ermittlung der Fungizidwirkung wie folgt verrechnet:

- 645365PATENTANSPRÜCHE 1. l,2,3-Thiadiazol-5-carbonsäurederivate der allgemeinen Formel IN - C - RN /\e/- C = Xi(I)in derR Wasserstoff, Ci-C4-Alkyl, Halogen-Ci-C4-Alkyl, C1-C4-Alkylmercapto-Ci-C4-Alkyl,Ci-C4-Alkoxy-Ci-C4-Alkyl, Y Halogen, die Amino-Gruppe-N;■R2worin Ri und/oder R2 jeweils Wasserstoff, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Ci-Cis-Alkylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten C2-Cs-Alkenyl- oder Alkinylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Aryl-Ci-C3-alkylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten, gegebenenfalls ankondensierte aromatische oder cycloaliphatische Ringe enthaltenden C3-C8-cycloaliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten C3-Cs-cycloalkyl-Ci-C3-alkylrest, einen gegebenenfalls ein- oder mehrfach durch Ci-Cü-Alkyl und/ oder Halogen und/oder Ci-Cö-Alkoxy und/oder die Nitro-gruppe und/oder die Trifluormethylgruppe substituierten aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffrest oder Ri und R2 gemeinsam mit dem angrenzenden N-Atom einen 3- bis 7gliedrigen heterocyclischen Ring, der noch weitere O-, S-oder N-Atome enthalten kann, darstellen,oder die Gruppe-Z-R3,worin Z Sauerstoff oder Schwefel und R3 einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Ci-C6-Alkylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Cj-Co-AIkenyl- oder Alkinylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten C3-C8-CycIoalkylrest, einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Aryl-Ci-C3-alkylrest und einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Arylrest darstellen und X die Iminogruppe= N-R'2,worin R': die Bedeutung von R2 hat, oder - sofern Y eine Ami-nogruppe ist - Schwefel darstellt, bedeutet, und ihre Salze mit anorganischen oder organischen Säuren.
- 2. 1,2,3-Thiadiazol-5-carbonsäurederivate gemäss Anspruch 1, worin R Wasserstoff oder Methyl,Y Chlor, Methylamino, Äthylamino, tert.-Butylamino, Methyl-Propyl-Amino, N,N-Diäthylamino, Allylamino, N,N-Diallylamino, Cyclohexylamino, Phenylamino, Methyl-phenylamino, Halogenphenylamino, Dichlorphenylamino, Chlor-Methyl-Phenylamino, Nitrophenylamino, N-Phenyl-N-methyl-amino, N,N-Diphenylamino, Cyclohexylmethyl-amino, Methylmercapto, Äthylmercapto, Phenylmercapto, Methylphenylmercapto, Benzylmercapto oder Chlorben-zylmercapto undX Phenylimino, Methylphenylimino, Dimethylphenylimino, Halogenphenylimino, Dihalogenphenylimino, Chlor-Methyl-Phenyl-Imino, Benzylimino, Halogenbenzylimino, Cyclohexylmethylimino oder - sofern Y eine Aminogruppe ist - Schwefel darstellen.
