Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Gerbmittels. Vorliegendes Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Gerbmittels beruht darauf, dass man zunächst Naphtoldisulfosäure (in der Haupt sache 2:6:8) nebst Naphtylaniinmonosulfo- säure 2:
7 mit Formaldehyd in hinlänglicher Verdünnung in Gegenwart von wenig Schwefel säure bei<B>70-80'</B> C kondensiert und hierauf die erhaltene Lösung, welche das einen hoch wertigen Gerbstoff darstellendeKondensations- produkt in gelöstem Zustande nebst freier Schwefelsäure enthält, neutralisiert, und zwar mindestens teilweise mit einem Hy droxyd eines Metalles, dessen Salze selbst gerbende \'Wirkung haben. Als solche Metallhydroxyde kommen in Betracht das Hydrat des Chroms, des Aluminiums, des Eisens etc.
Die nach dem Verfahren in einer Stärke von 24-28' B6 erhaltene Uerbmittellösung ist vollkommen gebrauchsfertig, in handels üblicher Form und bedarf keinerlei Reini gung oder sonstiger Behandlung. Ausser ihrer sehr hohen Gerbwirkung hat sie noch die Eigenschaft, dem damit gegerbten Leder eine gelbe Farbe zu erteilen, so dass eine weitere Färbung des Leders entweder unterbleiben kann oder nur noch eine schwache Nach- färbung auf eineu gewünschten Farbenton stattzufinden hat.
Die bei der Gerbung er haltene gelbe Färbung des Leders gibt auch einen guten Grundton ab, um darauf ein tiefes, sattes Schwarz zu erzielen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 62.8 kg Beta-Naphtoldisulfosäure (in der Hauptsache 2:6:8), hergestellt durch zwölf stündiges Erhitzen von 1 Teil Betanaphtol mit 2 Teilen konzentrierter Schwefelsäure auf 11011 C, entsprechend etwa 40 kg reiner Naplrtoldisulfosiiure, werden in 100 Liter Wasser geliist und mit 34,2 kg 2 # 7-naphtyl- aniirrrnonosulfosarirem Natrium (entsprechend 31.2 kg freier Säure) versetzt. Das (xemiscli wird auf<B>70-80'</B> C erhitzt.
In diese 31Ii- schung lässt man 32 kg dreissigprozentigen Formaldehyd, welcher mit 50 Liter Nasser verdünnt und auf 70 C erhitzt ist, einlaufen. Nach der Kondensation, frühestens nach zwei Stunden, werden 120 kg Eisenhydroxyd-Paste (enthaltend 7,02 kg Fe--,O:3) zugefügt.
Eine Gerbstoffanalyse nach der Hauptpulver- Filtermethode ergab folgende Zusammen setzung Gerbende Stoffe 23,150/, Nichtgerbstoffe 4,17% Unlösliches 0,000/, Wasser 72,680/<B>0</B>
Process for the preparation of a tanning agent. The present process for the preparation of a tanning agent is based on the fact that naphthol disulfonic acid (mainly 2: 6: 8) and naphthylanin monosulfonic acid 2:

In addition to its very high tanning effect, it also has the property of imparting a yellow color to the leather tanned with it, so that further coloring of the leather can either be omitted or only a weak re-coloring to a desired color tone has to take place.
The yellow color of the leather obtained during the tanning process also gives off a good basic shade in order to achieve a deep, rich black.
<I> Example: </I> 62.8 kg beta-naphthol disulphonic acid (mainly 2: 6: 8), produced by heating 1 part betanaphtol with 2 parts concentrated sulfuric acid to 11011 C for twelve hours, corresponding to about 40 kg pure naphthol disulphonic acid, are dissolved in 100 liters of water and mixed with 34.2 kg of 2 # 7-naphthylanirinonosulphosphate (corresponding to 31.2 kg of free acid).
