Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung einer gerbend wirkenden Verbindung. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung einer wisserlös- liehen Verbindung, welche gerbend wirkt und sowohl aus diesem Grunde wie auch rnit Rücksicht auf ihre sonstigen Eigenschaften von grossem technischem Wert ist.
Das Ver fahren beruht darauf, dass man Dinaplityl- sulfon sulfiert. Das als Ausgangsprodukt die nende Dinaphtylsulfon lässt sich in bekannter Weise durch Erhitzen von Naphtalin mit Schwefelsäure leicht erhalten. Das Produkt besitzt neben seinen gerbenden Eigenschaften auch die Fähigkeit, verschiedene unlösliche oder schwerlösliche Körper in Lösung zu bringen, zum Beispiel unlösliche Anteile von Gerbstoffextrakten, schwerlösliche Farbstoffe und dergleichen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 8 Gewichtsteile Naphtalin werden mit 3 Gewichtsteilen Schwefelsäure einige Stunden auf<B>180'</B> erhitzt. Das gebildete Dinaphtyl- sulfon wird nach dem Abdestillieren des un- veränderten Naphtalins sulfiert, indem rnan es mit der 1-3fachen Menge Schwefelsäure bis auf 200 erhitzt. Das Gemisch wird darin in Wasser gegossen und in üblicher Weise von unveränderter Schwefelsäure befreit.
Die entstandene Verbindung und ihre Alkalisalze sind in Wasser sehe leicht löslich, die saure wässerige Lösung fällt Leimlösung.
Process for the production of a tanning compound. The subject of the present invention is a method for the preparation of a knowledge-redeeming compound which has a tanning effect and is of great technical value for this reason as well as with regard to its other properties.
The process is based on the fact that dinaplityl sulfone is sulfated. The dinaphthyl sulfone used as the starting product can easily be obtained in a known manner by heating naphthalene with sulfuric acid. In addition to its tanning properties, the product also has the ability to bring various insoluble or sparingly soluble bodies into solution, for example insoluble fractions of tannin extracts, sparingly soluble dyes and the like.
<I> Example: </I> 8 parts by weight of naphthalene are heated to <B> 180 '</B> for a few hours with 3 parts by weight of sulfuric acid. The dinaphthyl sulfone formed is sulfated after the unchanged naphthalene has been distilled off by heating it up to 200 with 1-3 times the amount of sulfuric acid. The mixture is then poured into water and freed from unchanged sulfuric acid in the usual way.
The resulting compound and its alkali salts are easily soluble in water, the acidic aqueous solution drops glue solution.
