Description

process for the preparation of a complex silver compound of glycocolla. Complex silver compounds of α-amino acids are not yet known. When ammonia and amines (methylamine, ethylamine, ethylenediamine), as well as uyanides, thiosolefates, rhodanites are added to organic and inorganic silver salts, complex silver salts are known

which do not have the silver or only to a small extent in the form of the electrically dissociated monovalent silver cation. The ammonia and amine compounds contain according to the investigations by Bodlander (reports of the German chemical society 36, 1903, p. 2878), Bodländer and Fittig (Zeitschrift für Physiologische Chemie 39, 1902, p. 605), as well as by Euler ( Reports of the German Chemical Society 36, 1903, p.

1854) the complex cation Ag (AM) 2 ', where Am means NH3 CH3 NHa etc. The cyanide double salts have the complex anion Ag (CN) a ', the rhodanide double salts the anion Ag (SCN) a', the thiosulfate double salts the anion Ag (S208) 2 "'and Ag (S2Os) s" "'.

The subject matter of the present invention is a method for the preparation of a complex silver compound of glycocolla, which consists in bringing an excess of glycocollar into effect on silver nitrate.

The complex silver compound of the glycol forms a crystalline pale which easily dissolves in water. The aqueous solution reacts neutrally. Compared to the aqueous solutions of the simple silver salts, it is distinguished by its significantly greater durability. No precipitation occurs when caustic soda or soda is added. The complex silver compound of glycocolla is said to be used for therapeutic purposes.

Example: 17 parts of silver nitrate are dissolved in a little water, added to a saturated solution of 37.2 parts of glycol and evaporated in vacuo at a gentle temperature. The complex glycocollsilver compound obtained forms a crystalline mass.
