Wood sawdust stove. The object of the present invention is a sawdust stove; it comprises a hollow body having at least two orifices, and removable cores serving to form, in the sawdust with which said hollow body is filled, a pick-up chimney ensuring the combustion of the sawdust and the passage of the gases produced by this combustion, hollow body which is placed at the top of a frame inside which it is possible to bring by a duct, to use the heat, the gases produced by the combustion of the sawdust.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example only, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. i is a front view partially in section; Fig. 2 is a view from behind; Fig. 3 is a cross section thereof. According to these figures, the furnace comprises a hollow body a, which, in the embodiment shown, is cylindrical and which has two orifices, one of which, al, at the upper part of the body a, can be closed. by means of circles b and a cover G ', the other of which, a', is pierced in the cylindrical wall of the 'hollow body a.
This orifice a 'can be closed more or less completely by means of a shutter c. mounted on key guides fixed to the hollow body. Removable cores d and (L1, in wood or any other material and preferably of cylindrical shape, are introduced through these orifices a1 a 'and held in the position in which they are shown in the drawing,
by the mass c # of sawdust which one introduces! in 1o hollow body a, as will be seen below. The body, hollow has which is provided. of handles a: ', for its handling. is placed on the upper part of a hollow frame / ', arranged on legs g and which is provided with. double walls / '(fig. i and. 2).
The upper part of the hollow body a is connected by a pipe h to the lower part of the frame / ', pipe h, which opens inside a chamber f - of the frame f. This pipe h. is connected by a branch h, 'with a second exhaust pipe i of the combustion gases which serves as a chimney for the furnace.
Keys 7c and k \ à, i egistre, including Tune, k, is provided on the ti @@ - at h-, l -_mlre, 7,1, provided on s'em- brani-lienieni hI, allow to put the tun-aii lt in direct communication with the tuya i,
by the hl branch, without the -Iz. (the culrbustion have to pass through the cIianïbro / - ', when this will be necessary as we will see below.
Above the, harness f 'the frame f has a room /: #, serving as the oven and which is provided with a door t', provided with a lock f 'in which said door can be kept closed . This door is available on hinges l fixed to the front ramie of the frame f.
Supports / I #, fixed to the frame f, prevent the complete re-beating of the door f4, which is held horizontally. Corner irons 7n are mounted on the interior walls of the oven f3, angle irons on which metal plates or other plates can be placed in order to obtain several compartments in the oven. The furnace f 'is erg in communication through orifices s (FIG. 3) with the space formed by the walls of the frame f and its double walls f1, which allows better use of the heat produced by the combustion gases.
A register n, provided with orifices n ', corresponding to orifices n2, provided towards the upper part of the body a, and which can slide in supports o, makes it possible to bring towards this upper part of the body a. a certain amount of additional air, in order to r @ g) ei7 the combustion of the sawdust contained in the body a.
The kettle p, placed on brackets not shown in the drawing and provided on the branch hl, makes it possible to use a part of the heat of the combustion gases passing through the pipes h hl or < I> i, to heat the contents of said kettle, which is connected by a pipe r passing inside the frame f, to a valve r ', placed at the front part of said frame.
The operation of the furnace is as follows: After placing the removable cores d and dl in the position in which they are shown in fig. 3, we fill the hollow body a of the furnace, with sawdust which is compacted lightly, up to the upper opening of the pipe h, then we remove the cores d and dl which were used to form in the sawdust a call stack ensuring the combustion of the sawdust as well as a passage to the gases produced by this combustion.
The hole provided in the upper part of the hollow body a is then closed by means of the circles b and the cover b ', the key 7c provided on the pipe h is closed and the key lsl provided on the pipe h is opened. branch hl so that the combustion gases escape at the start and until combustion is well under way, directly through pipe i, without passing through chamber f = of the frame f. We light the sawdust:
at the orifice a2 of the hollow body a and when the combustion is in progress, it will be adjusted, either by means of the shutter c, provided at the orifice a of the hollow body a, or by means of the register n, provided towards the upper part of said body a, the key k will be opened and the key k1 will be closed so that the combustion gases pass through the chamber f2 of the frame f, before escaping through the chimney i and heat the oven f $ of said frame.
The fact that the pipe h penetrates far enough into the chamber f2 of the frame f, ensures good circulation to the combustion gases in said chamber. The air included in the space formed by the walls of the frame f and the double walls fi heats up and enters through the orifices s into the oven f ", so that we have.
better use of the heat given off by these combustion gases when passing through the chamber f =. The orifice a1, provided in the upper part of the hollow body a, can be used, like the oven f3 moreover, for cooking food, it will suffice for said opening to remove the cover b1, possibly the circles b and replace them with a saucepan or other suitable kitchen utensil.
By passing the combustion gases through pipe h, the liquid contained in kettle p will gradually heat up, and can be obtained hot at valve r1. When all the sawdust from. wood inside the hollow body a will be consumed, the latter will be reloaded as has been said above while restarting the combustion using the maneuver, keys Ic and k1.
The stove which is the subject of the invention may be used both as a kitchen stove and for heating an apartment, its shapes and dimensions may differ from those which are shown in the appended drawing.
