Benne preneuse.
La rainure-came 14 comprend une partie principale 14' de forme courbe correspondant à la partie recourbée de la queue 13 du crochet 8 et un élargisse ment 14" situé d'un côté de l'extrémité supé rieure de la partie principale de la rainure- came. La queue 13 peut faire corps avec le reste du crochet, mais elle est préférablement, pour la facilité de la construction, faite sé parément de celui-ci;
Lorsque, après prise du cro chet de -suspension 8 sur l'anneau d'ouver ture ou-chapeau 9, l'organe 5 est relâché de manière à permettre aux godets de s'ouvrir et de lâcher la charge, le crochet de suspen sion 8 oscille sur l'axe de tête 3, et l'axe 11 reliant l'extrémité supérieure des bielles de commande 10 suit la- partie principale 14' de la rainure-rame 14 pratiquée dans la queue 13 du crochet de suspension 8; et atteint l'élargissement latéral 14" qui se trouve à l'extrémité. supérieure de -cette rainure 14;
Clamshell. The invention relates to a grab bucket of the type in which a single flexible suspension member serves to lower the open cups on the material to be raised, to close the buckets on the material and then raising the full bucket and opening the buckets to unload them, and in which, to allow the buckets to open to release the load after the bucket has been re-mounted and moved so as to be above the place where the material is to be unloaded, the upper part of the skip frame is fitted with a swiveling suspension hook,
intended to be hooked to an opening ring suspended on the fly of the crane and by means of which the bucket is supported during the opening of the buckets, the flexible suspension member producing the opening and closing of the buckets by the intermediary of connecting rods connecting the buckets with the axis on which the suspension hook pivots.
In known skips of this type, in order to keep the hook, once released from the ring, in a position such that it can no longer engage with it when the skip is lowered again to reload it, the The suspension member is provided with a button which cooperates with a groove formed in the upper part of the chassis of the bucket or in a part carried by the suspension hook.
In the bucket forming the object of the present invention, this button which had drawbacks is deleted. According to the invention, the bucket is provided with means, controlled by the buckets, for automatically stopping the suspension hook in two positions determined with respect to its axis, the hook being maintained in the first of these positions, '' ensuring the engagement of the hook by the opening ring, during the upward movement of the closed bucket, while it is held in the second position,
enabling the hook to be released from the opening ring, when the bucket is either green and suspended, said means being con formed and arranged in such a way that the hook automatically passes from the second position to the first, when after lowering the bucket the buckets come into contact with the material to be lifted.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of this clamshell.
Figs. 1 and 2 are a side view and a front view of the first embodiment of the bucket with the buckets closed; Fig. 3 is a front view with the go dets open; Fig. 4 is a front view of the second embodiment; The fi, -. 5 is a partial side view; Fig. 6 is a second front view with the cups open; The fi-. 7 and 8 are a side view and a plan of a detail of the second embodiment.
In fig. 1 to 3 of the drawing, 1, 1 designate the buckets of the bucket, mounted on the axis 2; 3 is the head axis of the bucket, 4, 4. are the maneuvering rods connecting the go dets 1 to the head axis 3; 6 designates the upper pulley and 7, the lower pulleys for the flexible suspension member 5, for example a cable or a chain, intended to lower the open buckets of the bucket to the material in question. 'raising, to close the go dets on the material and. then reassemble the full bucket and open the buckets to unload them.
The member 5 is anchored to the upper part of the chassis of the bucket; it passes under one of the pulleys 7, mounted on the axis 2 of the buckets, then passes over the upper pulley 6 and then under the second pulley 7 from which it goes up on the fly of the crane. 8 is the hanger hook, and 9 is the opening ring or cap.
All the above-mentioned parts are of known construction, with the exception of the suspension hook 8, which is of special construction.
The bucket shown is provided with a second pair of connecting rods 10, hereinafter referred to as control rods, which are of lesser length than that of rods 4. These control rods 10, which are, as shown in FIG. . 1, arranged in vertical planes and on one side of a vertical plane passing through the center of the bucket, are connected by their lower end to the buckets 1 - and - they are mounted by their upper end on a short axis 11.
The suspension hook 8, mounted, as usual on the head axle 3, is provided on one side with a hanging arm 12, and on the other side with a second hanging arm 13 called hereinafter. after the tail of the hook, which is curved at its lower end. The pendant arm 12 supports the upper pulley 6 of the bucket, while the curved part of the second pendant arm 13, or that of the suspension hook 8, fits between the upper ends of the control rods 10 and is provided with a cam groove 14 which cooperates with the short axis 11 connecting the upper ends of the control rods 10.
The cam groove 14 comprises a main part 14 'of curved shape corresponding to the curved part of the shank 13 of the hook 8 and a widening 14 "located on one side of the upper end of the main part of the groove. - cam The tail 13 can be integral with the rest of the hook, but it is preferably, for ease of construction, made separately from the latter;
as shown in fig. 1, it can in this case be mounted on the head pin 3 next to the part of the suspension hook 8, of which it constitutes a prolongation, and it can be secured therewith by means of a pair of ears 13 'formed on its sides and fitting against the sides of the adjoining part of the suspension hook.
The bodies described above cooperate as follows: When the buckets 1 of the bucket are closed, ready to be lifted, the pin 11 connecting the upper end of the control rods 10 is found, or approximately, at the lower end of the main part 14 'of the cam groove 14 made in there tail 13 of the suspension hook 8 (fig. 2) and the hook is inclined at a considerable angle relative to the vertical line not sant through the center of the bucket, which ensures the engagement of the suspension hook 8 by the opening ring or cap 9 when the bucket is lifted.
When, after taking the suspension hook 8 on the opening ring or cap 9, the member 5 is released so as to allow the buckets to open and release the load, the suspension hook Zion 8 oscillates on the head axis 3, and the axis 11 connecting the upper end of the control rods 10 follows the main part 14 'of the groove-oar 14 formed in the tail 13 of the suspension hook 8; and reaches the lateral widening 14 "which is at the upper end of this groove 14;
then the weight of the bucket causes the axis 11 to penetrate into said widening; it comes to rest on the shoulder formed by the latter and remains in contact with it by virtue of the same weight of the bucket.
The suspension hook 8 will then be placed vertically and it is. will be clear of the opening ring 9 when the bucket is raised. When the bucket having been lowered by the desired amount, the buckets enter dontaet with the material to be lifted, the member 5 is released.
It follows that the pin 11 connecting the upper end of the control rods 10 is lifted from the shoulder on which it was held by the weight of the bucket and that, as a result of a slight movement of oscillation operated by the suspension hook 8 around the head axis 3, it comes out of the enlargement 14 "(the upper pulley 6 is, in fact, fixed to the hook 8 in front of the axis of the bucket and; therefore, it tends to rotate the pawl). When the member 5 is pulled upwards, the axis 11 goes down the along the cam-groove 14 until that it has reached its original position indicated in there fig. 2.
In the example shown in FIGS. 4 to 8, the axis 11 connecting the upper end of the control rods 10 and cooperating with the cam-groove 14 is made longer than shown in FIG. 1 and on the end of this axis is mounted a locking lever 15 including arms 15 'arranged more or less horizontally and a raised arm 15 ".
The arms 15 'of this locking lever 15 are provided with 15x notches intended to engage with a pin 16 fixed to the tail 13 of the suspension hook 8, while the rising arm 15 "of this same lever forms a loop, shown in Figures 5 and 8, for the passage of the member 5, and carries a friction roller 17 to act as a support for this cable or this chain.
In addition, the bottom wall of the widening 14 "of the cam groove 14 of the tail 13 of the hanger hook, which is the edge on which the pin 11 rests when it reaches the end. of its stroke, is disposed at a greater angle with respect to the rear pallet of said widening than in the case of the first embodiment.
- The organs which have just been described operate as follows:. When. the buckets are closed, the arms 15 'of the locking lever 15 are released from the pin 16, as shown in fig. 4, but when the buckets have moved apart to release the load and the pin 11 ,. going up- in the cam-groove 14 of the tail 13 of the suspension hook 8, reaches the end .de its stroke, the _ notches- 15x. the arms 15 'of the locking lever 15 engage with this pin 16 fixed to the tail 13 of the suspension hook 8 and they remain in engagement with it, because the member 5 presses against the ga let 17.
When after. that the bucket has been lowered to grab a new load and that the buckets have come into contact with the material to be lifted, component 5. is released, the locking lever 15 oscillates on the axis 11 under the action of the weight of its rising arm 15 "and the notches 15g are released from the pin. 16, thus allowing the axis 1.1 to exit. the widening 14 "of the cam groove 14: An important advantage of the present invention is that the opening ring or cap 9 can always be kept absolutely concentric with, the suspension member, the neck 91 of this hat can be made to a dimension corresponding to that of said organ. This is a very important advantage when a clamshell is operated by.
high winds or with bad. lighting.
