Abstract

La presente descripción proporciona un método para detectar la presencia de un gen restaurador Rf3 para el gen de la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática de tipo S del maíz, que comprende: (a) aislar moléculas de ácido nucleico de una planta de maíz; (b) analizar las moléculas de ácido nucleico aisladas para detectar la presencia del marcador DASCMS-SRf39 mostrado en la SEQ ID NO:88; (c) detectar la presencia de SEQ ID NO:88 en las moléculas de ácido nucleico aisladas, donde la presencia del marcador DASCMSSRf39 mostrado en SEQ ID NO:88 indica la presencia del gen restaurador Rf3.
