背景技术

发明内容
因此,本发明提供一种全孔口饮料端部,其具有中央面板,沉降部或埋头孔(countersink),其包围着中央面板;主刻痕,其布置成邻近于沉降部以限定一种可移除的孔口面板;以及,通气刻痕,其特征在于,该饮料端部适于用于当打开时在超过207kPa(30psi3)的压力下保持的产品,且在打开期间,通气刻痕适于首先裂开,控制着在中央面板的外表面与内表面之间的压差。以此方式,在中央面板的外表面与内表面之间的压差缓和地到达平衡。这允许主刻痕以受控制的且可靠的方式来撕裂。该罐也可额定用于至少483 kPa (70 psi)、586 kPa (85 psi)或621 kPa (90 psi)的内部压力。
此外,主刻痕可具有与端部的饮用唇缘靠近的外壁(在一旦移除了孔口面板之后)、靠近孔口面板的内壁、和在主刻痕基部处的槽面(land)。该槽面在靠近于主刻痕外壁处的厚度小于靠近于主刻痕内壁处的槽面厚度。这种构造确保在孔口面板被移除后,槽面保持固结到孔口面板上。

具体实施方式
饮料罐10包括了在接缝16处接合在一起的罐主体12和罐端部14。优选地,罐主体12和接缝16根据商业碳酸饮料标准为常规的。
图1示出罐端部14的第一实施例,为了清楚起见,省略了拉片。罐端部14包括壁部20、沉降部22和中央面板30。壳体构造(即,在其离开壳体压机时不具备拉片的罐端部)具有包括壁20、沉降部22和中央面板30的构造。在图1 所示的实施例中,罐端部优选地为如由Crown Cork & Seal所供应的常规SuperEnd®饮料罐端部。
沉降部22从壁20的下部延伸且包括弯曲底部24和从底部24向上延伸的内壁26。内壁26具有一种直部,其经由具有半径R的过渡部28而合并到中央面板30内。半径R的原点为点C,如在图8中最佳地示出。对于具备一种并不具有单个半径和单个原点的弯曲过渡部的实施例,可使用平均值。

胡须形刻痕46被构造为能够对经加压、填充的罐10进行通气。对于大于207 kPa (30 psi)的内部压力,优选的是在本申请者共同待决的专利申请no. US 12/796972中描述的通气刻痕。在拉片36由其提手或跟部38提升起时,胡须形刻痕46被设计成在主刻痕50之前破裂以排出填充罐10中的内部压力。
主刻痕50绕中央面板30外围而延伸,且限定了可移除的孔口面板54。如在图6中所图示的那样,拉片36附连到孔口面板54上。常规防断裂刻痕52也位于孔口面板54上,在主刻痕50径向内部以减小应力,且在主刻痕50裂开时收紧松弛的金属。当移除了孔口面板54之后,留下唇缘32。唇缘32为从接缝16的内边缘沿径向向内突伸的罐端部14的部分。此外,孔口面板54可包括凹陷和凸起,如在下文中更全面地解释的那样。
本发明者认识到构造所述罐端部14以实现以下目的的重要性,即:使得主刻痕50处于充分刚性的罐端部14上的位置,以在促动拉片36时促进刻痕50初始破裂。图8为罐端部14的第一实施例的放大视图,且示出了在主刻痕50与从沉降部22到中央面板30的过渡部28之间的关系,过渡部28在主刻痕50的区域中强化/硬化了罐端部14。
优选地,主刻痕50的中心线在拉片鼻部40接触着中央面板30的点处靠近沉降部22,从而使得沉降部22的结构刚度防止了过度的面板偏转以促进初始刻痕断裂。举例而言,在过渡弯曲原点C与主刻痕50的竖直中心之间的水平距离可低至0.000英寸(即,落在相同的竖直轴线上)。优选地,主刻痕50的中心线并不在点C径向外部延伸,从而使得主刻痕并不干扰沉降部22的结构性能。在图1的实施例中,主刻痕50的中心线从点C的水平地测量出的优选地0.508 mm (0.020英寸)内,更优选地在0.254 mm (0.010英寸)内,更优选地在0.152 mm (0.0060英寸)内,更优选地在0.102 mm (0.004英寸)内,且甚至更优选地在0.051 mm (0.002英寸)内,以得到沉降部加强的益处。在主刻痕中心线与点C之间的距离的上限也可以是由美观或饮用功能方面来确定的。
可替代地,主刻痕50可与沉降部22间隔开,但优选地位于诸如凸起、凹陷或类似脊这样的结构加强件附近。主刻痕与沉降部的构造和距离可根据熟悉饮料罐端部工程和设计的人员在考虑本说明书时理解的参数来加以选择。
图7A示出了当前用于常规饮料端部的孔口刻痕的一种对称刻痕轮廓130。对称刻痕130具有大体上梯形的形状,其包括一对相同但相反定向的侧壁130a和130b和大体上平坦的槽面130c。实际上,难以确切地控制或预测刻痕130裂开的位置(在其截面中)。槽面130c当裂开并且在任一侧壁130a或130b的基部处延伸时使得边缘尖锐。此边缘更可能用以切割使用者而不是嵌条。此嵌条为刻痕侧壁,槽面130c的刻痕残余从该刻痕侧壁槽面干净地破裂(即,槽面130c的刻痕残余并没有部分、或只有很小部分保持附连至的刻痕侧壁的部分)。
图7B图解了根据本发明用于罐端部14中的不对称主刻痕50。不对称主刻痕50具有一对侧壁51x和51y,其相对于中央面板30的外表面延伸到两个不同深度X和Y。主刻痕50具有槽面56。在本说明书中,术语“槽面”大体上是指顶表面或宽度,且术语“刻痕残余”是指厚度。槽面56x和56y的端部(在如图7B所示的截面中)被限定为发生了槽面合并到刻痕侧壁51x和51y内的该位置处的点。在其打开状态,在槽面端部56x和56y处的厚度具有刻痕残余厚度Ta和Tb。

在刻痕槽面56的较薄端56x处的刻痕残余倾向于比在较厚端56y的刻痕残余更易于断裂。这种倾向有利于控制在主刻痕50内的断裂位置。就此而言,刻痕50的截面结构被构造为使得槽面130c的刻痕残余保持附连到孔口面板54上而不是唇缘32上(即,由于在槽面外端56x处的刻痕残余比槽面内端56y处的刻痕残余更薄),因此,留下具有更平滑构造的唇缘32。
而且,本发明者已发现对于给定刻痕,拉片的结构和操作影响到主刻痕断裂的可靠性和可预测性。就此而言,如果拉片鼻部40离主刻痕50太远,端部14可在主刻痕50与防断裂刻痕52之间断裂、或者在防断裂刻痕52内断裂,而不是仅在主刻痕50内破裂。在促动拉片36时测量,当拉片鼻部40首先接触着罐端部14(在主刻痕断裂之前)时,拉片鼻部40优选地并不横跨主刻痕50来触及所述外刻痕壁51x。优选地,拉片鼻部40在与罐端部14相接触时处于主刻痕50的中心线上、或者在孔口面板54上,在主刻痕50的内边缘60的径向内侧0.127 mm (0.005英寸)内(参看图7B)。更优选地,拉片鼻部40在内边缘60的径向内侧0.051 mm (0.002英寸)内。

相对于主刻痕50的拉片鼻部40的位置可根据特定罐端部的设计参数来选择,举例而言,根据主刻痕构造、拉片设计、通气刻痕设计、内部压力和熟悉罐端部工程和设计的人员在考虑本说明书时将理解的其它因素。

Claims (14)
1.一种用于封接到容器主体(12)上的全孔口饮料端部(14),其具有中央面板(30);沉降部(22),其包围着中央面板(30);主刻痕(50),其邻近于所述沉降部(22)而布置以限定可移除的孔口面板(54);以及,通气刻痕(46),其特征在于,所述饮料端部(14)适用于保持在至少70psi (483 kPa)压力下的产品;且在打开期间,所述通气刻痕(46)适于首先裂开,控制着在所述中央面板(30)的外表面与内表面之间的压差,由此允许所述主刻痕(50)以受控且可靠方式撕裂,
其中所述通气刻痕(46)裂开以形成通气孔(48),且所述中央面板的被所述通气刻痕(46)围绕的部分呈折片形式,从而使得在容器主体(12)中的内部压力造成所述通气刻痕的断裂以无阻拦地开裂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其适用于保持在至少85psi (586 kPa)压力下的产品。
3.根据权利要求1所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其适用于保持在至少90psi (621 kPa)压力下的产品。
4.根据权利要求1所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述饮料端部(14)包括拉片(36),所述拉片(36)具有鼻部(40)和提手(38),所述提手(38)由使用者提升起,以启动所述通气刻痕(46)和随后所述主刻痕(50)的循序开裂。
5.根据权利要求4所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述拉片(36)为固结的且并无铰链。
6.根据权利要求4或5所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述拉片(36)被定位成使得在对所述拉片进行初始促动时,所述拉片鼻部(40)在所述主刻痕(50)内、或靠近所述主刻痕(50)。
7.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中孔口面板(54)还包括位于所述主刻痕(50)径向内部的第二防断裂刻痕(52)。
8.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述主刻痕(50)的中心线定位成离所述沉降部(22)与所述中央面板(30)之间的过渡半径(28, R) 的距离为介于0.000与0.508 mm (0.020英寸)之间。
9.根据权利要求4或5所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中处于其闲置状态的所述拉片(36)的鼻部(40)是与所述主刻痕(50)的内边缘(60)在径向向内以介于水平地测量到的0.000与0.203 mm (0.008英寸)之间的距离而间隔开。
10.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述主刻痕(50)具有不对称的刻痕轮廓。
11.根据权利要求10所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中所述主刻痕(50)具有靠近唇缘(32)的外壁(51x)和靠近所述孔口面板(52)的内壁(51y),所述内壁与外壁(51x, 51y)由槽面(56)分开,且邻近于外壁(51x)的所述槽面(56)的刻痕残余厚度(Ta)小于邻近于内壁(51y)的所述槽面(56)的刻痕残余厚度(Tb),由此在所述孔口面板(52)与所述饮料端部(14)的中央面板(30)分离时,所述槽面(56)保持附连到所述孔口面板(52)上。
12.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中从所述沉降部(22)的基部到所述中央面板(30)的高度大于1.5mm。
13.根据权利要求11所述的全孔口饮料端部(14),其中在打开之后,所述饮料端部(14)的开口(58)定位于所述唇缘(32)径向0.5mm内,以最大化切割边缘安全性。
14.一种密封容器,包括在其中包含产品的容器主体(12)、以及根据权利要求1至13中任一项通过接缝(16)而附连于其上的全孔口饮料端部(14)。
