Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones y metodos para modular el crecimiento, desarrollo y reparacion de hueso, cartilago u otro tejido conectivo; se proporcionan dispositivos y formas de onda de estimulos para modular de manera diferencial el comportamiento de los osteoblastos, condorcitos y otras celulas del tejido conectivo, para fomentar la proliferacion, diferenciacion, formacion o mineralizacion de la matriz para aplicaciones in vitro o in vivo; puede utilizarse la estimulacion de las celulas en modo continuo o en modo de impulso-rafaga, con senales con carga equilibrada; el crecimiento del hueso, cartilago y otro tejido conectivo es estimulado en parte por la liberacion de oxido nitrico a traves de la estimulacion electrica y puede modularse a traves de la coadministracion de donadores de NO e inhibidores de la NO sintasa.
