Abstract

La invención se refiere a la protección de plantas contra ataque fungoso, particularmente al control y prevención de mohos downey en cultivos de plantas. La actividad de los fungicidas N-(2,6 dimetilfenil)-N-(metoxiacetil)-DL-alanina ester metilo nombre común metalaxilo), N-2,6 dimetilfenil)-N-(fenilacetil)-DL-alanina ester metilo (Benalaxilo), y N-(2,6-dimetilfenil)-N-(2-furanilcarbonil)-DL-alanina ester metilo (Furalaxilo) usados hasta ahora como ingredientes activos en forma de sus racematos en composiciones fungicidas puede ser mejoradas si son utilizados en una mezcla con cantidades elevadas de sus correspondientes en antiómeros R. Las composiciones fungicidas que contienen Metaxilo, Benalaxilo o Furalaxilo consistentes del 70% al 100% por peso del enantiómero R muestran una eficacia incrementada contra los patógenos de plantas y un considerable aumento de la degradación del terreno.
