Abstract

Esta invención está vinculada con el campo de las industrias química, farmacéutica y cosmética, donde se toma en consideración las propiedades bactericidas, virucidas, parasiticidas y funguicidas de los aceites y grasas vegetales ozonizados. El aceite o grasa vegetal emulsionado se hace reaccionar con el ozono en un reactor de burbujeo, recubierto de una camiseta que permite controlar la temperatura de la reacción. El ozono reacciona con los dobles enlaces presentes en el aceite o grasa vegetal dando lugar a la formación de distintas especies peroxídicas, responsables de la acción biológica de estos productos. Los aceites o grasas vegetales ozonizados en estas condiciones se aplican con resultados satisfactorios y novedosos en el tratamiento de enfermedades en diversas especialidades de la medicina, tales como oftalmología, estomatología, dermatología, gastroenterología, ginecología, parasitología, entre otras. Igualmente, se describe la aplicación cosmetológica de los aceites y grasas vegetales ozonizados, teniendo en cuenta sus propiedades oxigenantes y revitalizadora de la piel. Los resultados de los estudios toxicológicos, realizados previamente, demuestran que los productos obtenidos según este proceso, no presentan contraindicaciones ni reacciones adversas.
