Description
i 147906
Opfindelsen angår anvendelsen af en vandig polybutadiendis-persion ved tilvejebringelse af et vedhæftningsformidlende mellemlag ved fremstilling af polyamidovertræk på metalliske genstande ved smelteovertrækningsmetoden.
Til opnåelse af en høj korrosions- og kemikaliebestandighed er det ved fremstilling af overtræk ved smelteovertræknings- . metoden nødvendigt, at disse hæfter godt til underlaget. Med smelteovertrækningsmetoden forstås hvirvelsintring, flamme-sprøjtning eller den elektrostatiske overtrækning.
Der er blevet anvendt de mest forskellige materialer som vedhæftningsformidlende mellemlag. Således beskriver AT patentskrift 236.553 anvendelsen af varmehærdelige phenolharpikser, eventuelt sammen med termoplastiske harpikser. Fra US patentskrift 3.203.822 og DE fremlæggelsesskrift 1.244.623 er det kendt at benytte styren-butadien-copolymerisater. Ifølge DE patentskrift 2.003.702 benyttes endvidere en blanding af en epoxymodificeret alkydharpiks og umættet polyesterharpiks.
Ifølge den fremlagte japanske patentansøgning Sho 47 (1972) 4951 - som refereret i Chemical Abstracts, bind 77 [1972], abstract nr. 128.264 w - benyttes endvidere varmehærdende polymere af butadien med en gennemsnitlig molekylvægt på 1000 til 5000, idet især de tilsvarende lavmolekylære ataktiske 1,2-polybutadiener med et indhold af 1,2-bindinger på ca.
90% anvendes.
Ifølge teknikkens standpunkt påføres disse vedhæftningsformidlende materialer i form af opløsninger i organiske opløsningsmidler, såsom testbenzin, xylen, chlorhydrocarboner, ketoner eller estere, hvorefter opløsningsmidlet fjernes. Arbejdet med disse brændbare opløsningsmidler kræver til beskyttelse af personerne samt til beskyttelse af miljøet bekostelige beskyttelsesindretninger, især også med henblik på de eventuelle pulvereksplosioner.
Den foreliggende opfindelse tager derfor sigte på at anvende 147906 2 et vandigt system, som muliggør fremstilling af mindst lige så gode vedhæftningsforbedrende overtræk, men som samtidig forhindrer en underkorrosion, hvorved man forstår den korrosion, der finder sted under overtrækket. Dette opnås ved anvendelse af en vandig dispersion, hvori polybutadienen er en flydende polybutadien med en dynamisk viskositet på 70 til 30.000 m-Pa-s og en konfiguration på 40 til 95% cis-1,4, på 0 til 30% trans-1,4 og på 1 til 60% 1,2-enheder, hvilken dispersion tillige, regnet i forhold til den benyttede polybutadien, indeholder 0,5 til 10 vægt% af en emulgator.
Den benyttede flydende polybutadien har fortrinsvis en dynamisk viskositet på 500 til 5000 m-Pa*s. Den foretrukne konfiguration svarer til 60 til 90% 1,4-cis-, 5 til 30% 1,4-trans- og 1 til 40% 1,2-enheder. Sådanne polymerisater opnås som bekendt ved hjælp af opløsningspolymerisation af buta-dien i nærværelse af kendte Ziegler-katalysatorer.
Dispersionen indeholder de flydende polybutadiener i en koncentration på 1 til 70, fortrinsvis 10 til 60, og især 20 til 50 vægt%. Som dispergatorer eller emulgatorer egner sig principielt både kationiske emulgatorer, såsom kvartære ammoniumsalte, anioniske emulgatorer, såsom alkylbenzensulfo-nater, alkylsulfonater, alkylsulfater eller sæber eller ikke-ioniske emulgatorer, såsom polyglycolethere eller sukkerestere. På grund af den bedre vandbestandighed af overtrækket foretrækkes ikke-ioniske emulgatorer. Særlig egnede som ikke-ioniske emulgatorer er alkylarylpolyglycolethere med 6 til 10 ethylenoxidenheder, såsom især de pågældende octyl- eller nonylphenoloxethylater. Emulgatoren skal mindst anvendes i mængder på 0,5 vægt%, regnet i forhold til polybutadienen.
1 tilfælde af lavere koncentrationer forbliver dispersionen ikke tilstrækkelig stabil. Den øvre koncentrationsgrænse må ikke overskride 10 vægt%, fordi polyamidovertrækkets vedhæft-ningsstyrke derved forringes. Fordelagtigt anvender man emulgatoren i en koncentration på 3 til 7 vægt%. Polybutadien-dispersionen kan påføres ved sprøjtning, neddykning eller 147906 3 påstrygning. Det vedhæftningsformidlende mellemlag foreligger, efter at der på kendt måde er opvarmet til 300-450°C før påføringen af polyamidpulveret.
På overraskende vis kan der på trods af anvendelsen af den vandige dispersion, især også i forbindelse med den deri indeholdte emulgator, ikke iagttages nogen forstærket rustning under overtrækket. Ligeledes bliver vedhæftningsstyrken ikke formindsket, især over for vandig, varm vaskemiddellud.
Eksempel 1.
En med trichlorethylen affedtet og sandblæst jernplade med en tykkelse på 1 mm bliver påsprøjtet en 50% vandig dispersion af en polybutadien med en dynamisk viskositet på 780 m-Pa-s, 72% 1,4-cis, 27% 1,4-trans, 1% 1,2-enheder og et indhold på 5 vægt%, regnet i forhold til polybutadienen, af et octylphenoloxethylat med 8 ethylenoxidenheder. Til slut brændes i 5 minutter ved 400°C, og der overtrækkes derpå i et hvirvelsinterbad a) med polyamid 12 og b) med polyamid 11.
Afprøvningen af vedhæftningsevnen foregår ved et krydsgittersnit. I dette snit frembringes ved hjælp af det såkaldte Erichsen-fordybningsapparat en fordybning på 6 mm. Derefter forsøges det at aftrække overtrækket ved hjælp af et klæbebånd. Såvel i tilfældet a) som i tilfældet b) androg vedhæft-ningsstyrken 100%. Også ved lagring af en prøve i 90°C varmt vand eller i en 90°C varm 3% opløsning af et i handelen gående grovvaskemiddel, kunne der efter 1500 timer ikke fastslås nogen underkorrosion (som defineret ovenfor) eller nogen formindsket vedhæftningsstyrke ved indsnittet.
Eksempel 2.
På samme måde blev en 20% vandig dispersion med et indhold på 7% af et nonylphenoloxethylat med 8 ethylenoxidenheder benyttet som emulgator. Vedhæftningen var lige så god.
