Claims (15)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af ekspanderede støbte polystyrenobjekter med en densitet valgt fra en rækkevidde fra 40 til 190 g/l, kendetegnet ved at det anvender en ekspanderbar polystyrensammensætning i form af ekspanderbare perler, indeholdende efter vægt (1) 100 dele polymer af styren, (2) fra 2,2 til mindre end 4,0 dele af mindst ét opblæsningsmiddel og (3) op til 0,4 dele af mindst et plastificeringsmiddel, og ved at det omfatter følgende trin: i) et før-ekspansion trin udført ved opvarmning af de ekspanderbare perler for at danne før-ekspanderede perler med en bulkdensitet målt i overensstemmelse med den europæiske standard "EN 1602" valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 40 til 190 g/l, (ii) et stabilisering trin udført ved at bringe de før-ekspanderede perler i kontakt med et gasformigt medium ved en temperatur på fra 0 til 40°C under et absolut tryk fra 50 til 160 kPa i en periode på fra 6 til 48 timer og (iii) et støbningsstadium ved at indføre og opvarme perlerne således stabiliseret i en form for således at svejses perlerne og for at danne de medietæthed ekspanderede formstøbte polystyrenobjekter, kendetegnet ved, at den omfatter et enkelt før-ekspansion trin fulgt derefter af stabilisering trin og ved støbningsfasen
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at i før-ekspansion trin opvarmes de ekspanderbare perler for at danne før-ekspanderede perler perler med en bulkdensitet valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 45 til 180g/l.
3. Før-ekspanderede perler med en bulkdensitet målt i overensstemmelse med den europæiske standard "EN 1602" valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 40 til 190 g/l og indeholdende efter vægt: (a) 100 dele af en polymer af styren, (b) fra 0,5 til mindre end 3,0 dele af mindst ét opblæsningsmiddel og (c) fra op til 0,4 dele af mindst et plastificeringsmiddel, kendetegnet ved, at perlerne er ekspanderbare uden tilsætning af en frisk mængde opblæsningsmiddel.
4. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge krav 3, kendetegnet ved, at de er i stand til efterfølgende ekspansion uden tilsætning af en frisk mængde opblæsningsmiddel.
5. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge krav 3 eller 4, kendetegnet ved, at polymeren af styren har en middelmolekylmasse på vægt Mw, valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 150000 til 300000 dalton.
6. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge krav 5, kendetegnet ved, at polymeren af styren har en molekylvægtfordeling, beregnet ved forholdet mellem Mw og middelmolekylmassen efter antal, Mn, af polymeren valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 1,8 til 2.6.
7. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 6, kendetegnet ved, at opblæsningsmidlet er valgt blandt lineære eller forgrenede (cyclo)alkaner.
8. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 7, kendetegnet ved, at de indeholder fra 0,7 til 2,9 vægtdele af mindst ét opblæsningsmiddel.
9. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 7, kendetegnet ved, at de indeholder fra 1,6 til mindre end 3,0 vægtdele af mindst ét opblæsningsmiddel.
10. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 9, kendetegnet ved, at plastificeringsmidlet er valgt blandt mineralolier, hvide olier, paraffinvoks og Fischer-Tropsch voks.
11. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 10, kendetegnet ved at de indeholder op til 0,35 dele af mindst et plastificeringsmiddel.
12. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 11, kendetegnet ved, at de har en størrelse eller en diameter valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 0,5 til 3,5 mm.
13. Før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 12, kendetegnet ved, at de har en bulkdensitet valgt fra et rækkevidde på fra 45 til 180 g/l.
14. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 13, kendetegnet ved, at den omfatter et for-ekspansion trin udført ved opvarmning af de ekspanderbare perler som beskrevet i krav 1, indtil der opnås før-ekspanderede perler med en bulkdensitet valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 40 til 190g/l.
15. Medietæthed ekspanderede formstøbte polystyrenobjekter, kendetegnet ved, at de er opnåelige ved hjælp af de før-ekspanderede perler ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 3 til 11, og at de har en densitet valgt fra et rækkevidde fra 40 til 190 g/1 .
