Opfindelsen angår smøreolier, der indeholder svovlholdige, olieopløselige kompositioner, idet smøreolierne kun indeholder lidt eller intet phosphor. Især angår opfindelsen smøremidler, der indeholder lidt eller intet phos-5 phor, og en komposition, der omfatter mindst et metaldi-thiocarbamat, mindst en sulfuriseret, organisk forbindelse og mindst en som hjælpemiddel tjenende korrosionsinhibitor.
10 Man kender forskellige kompositioner, der fremstilles ved sulfurisering af organiske forbindelser, især olefiner og olefinholdige forbindelser, samt smøremidler, der indeholder disse produkter. Typiske sulfuriserede kompositioner fremstillet ved at omsætte olefiner, såsom isobuten, 15 diisobuten og triisobuten, med svovl under forskellige betingelser beskrives f.eks. i Chemical Reviews, 65, 237 (1965). Andre referencer beskriver reaktionen mellem sådanne olefiner og hydrogensulfid og elementært svovl til dannelse af hovedsageligt mercaptaner, hvorved sulfider, 20 disulfider og højere polysulfider også dannes som biprodukter. Der skal henvises til J. Am. Chem. Soc., 60, 2452 (1938) og U.S. patenter 3 221 056, 3 419 614 og 4 191 659. US patent 3 419 614 beskriver en proces til forøgelse af udbyttet af mercaptan ved at gennemføre re-25 aktionen af olefin med hydrogensulfid og svovl ved en høj temperatur i nærværelse af forskellige basiske materialer. U.S. patent nr. 4 191 659 beskriver fremstillingen af sulfuriserede kompositioner ved reaktion under superatmosfærisk tryk af olefiner med en blanding af svovl og 30 hydrogensulfid i nærværelse af en katalysator fulgt af behandling med et alkalimetalsulfid. Anvendelsen af sulfuriserede naturlige og syntetiske olier som additiver i smøremidler har være foreslået på dette tekniske område, såsom f.eks. i US patenterne 2 999 813 og 4 360 438.
Det er også kendt, at Diels-Alder-addukter kan sulfurise-res til dannelse af svovlholdige kompositioner, der er 35

2 særligt anvendelige som højtryksadditiver og antislidad-ditiver i forskellige smøreolier. US patenter 3 632 566 og Reissue 27 331 beskriver sådanne splfuriserede Diels-A1der-addukter og smøremidler indeholdende disse adduk-5 ter. I disse patenter er forholdet mellem svovl og Diels-Alder-addukt beskrevet som værende et molært forhold fra ca. 0,5:1,0 til 10,0:1,0. Patenterne viser, at det normalt er ønskeligt at inkorporere så meget stabilt svovl i forbindelsen som muligt, og derfor anvender man normalt 10 et molært overskud af svovl. De beskrevne smøremidler kan indeholde andre additiver, der normalt anvendes til at forbedre egenskaberne af smøremidler, såsom disperge-ringsmidler, detergenter, højtryksmidler og yderligere oxidations- og korrosions-inhiberende midler osv. Til 15 visse smøreformål har de før angivne svovlholdige kompositioner dog ikke være helt tilfredsstillende som additiver til mange formål.
Organophosphor- og metalorganosphosphor-forbindelser an-20 vendes i vid udstrækning i smøreolier som højtryks- og antislidmidler. Eksempler på sådanne forbindelser omfatter: phosphosulfuriserede carbonhydrider, såsom reak tionsproduktet af et phosphorsulfid med terpentin; phos-phorestere inklusive dicarbonhydrid- og tricarbonhydrid-25 phosphitter; og metalphosphordithioater, såsom zink-dial-kylphosphordithioater. På grund af de toxicologiske problemer, der er associeret med anvendelsen af organophosphor forbindelser, og især af metaldialkylphosphordithioa-ter, foreligger der et behov for at udvikle smøremidler, 30 der indeholder lave niveauer af phosphor, og som dog er karakteriseret ved at have acceptable oxidations-inhibe-rende egenskaber og antislidegenskaber. Smøremidler, der indeholder lave koncentrationer af phosphor, er også ønskelige i betragtning af tendensen ved phosphor til at 35 forgifte katalytiske konvertorer, der anvendes til at kontrollere emissioner fra benzinmotorer.

Polyvalente metalsalte af dithiocarbaminsyrer er kendt og har været beskrevet som værende anvendelige olieadditiver, fordi de tjener det dobbelte formål, der omfatter sekvestrering af uønskede metalkomponenter i olien og 5 funktionen som antioxidanter. Der er beskrevet smøreolier, der omfatter kombinationer af forskellige dithio-carbamater af polyvalente metaller med andre kemiske additiver, der udviser ønskværdige egenskabsforbedrende karakteristika, når de sættes til smøreolien i kombination 10 med dithiocarbamaterne. 2 999 813 et smøremiddel, der omfatter en sulfuriseret mineralolie og et polyvalent metaldithiocarbamat. Fortrinsvis omfatter kompositionen også en blysæbe af en naphthenisk fedtsyre. Fremstillingen af smøremidler om-15 fattende mineralolie, metalsalte af dithiocarbaminsyrer og koblingsmidler, såsom alkoholer, estere, ketoner og andre stabile oxygenholdige materialer er beskrevet i U.S. patent 2 265 851. U.S. patent nr. 2 394 536 beskriver smøreolier indeholdende kombinationen af organiske 20 sulfider og salte af dithiocarbaminsyrer. Organiske sulfider er generelt repræsenteret ved formlen hvori og R2 er alifatiske grupper, og n er 1, 2 eller 3.
25 U.S. patent 2 805 996 beskriver anvendelsen af amin-di-thiocarbamat-komplekser i smøreolier, og U.S. patent nr.
2 947 695 beskriver fordelene ved at anvende blandinger af polyvalente metal-dithiocarbamater ved fremstilling af olieopløselige additiv-blandinger, der er anvendelige ved 30 fremstilling af smøreolier.
De ovennævnte mangler ved tilgængelige smøremidler afhjælpes nu ved smøreolier, der indeholder kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen som defineret i krav 1, der udviser 35 forbedrede korrosionshæmmende, anti-oxiderende, antislid og højtryksegenskaber. Komponent (A) i de olieopløselige kompositioner ifølge opfindelsen er mindst et metalsalt af mindst en dithio-5 carbaminsyre med formlen R^R^N-CSSH (I) hvori R^ og R2 hver for sig uafhængigt er carbonhydrid-10 grupper, hvori det totale antal carbonatomer i R1 og R2 er tilstrækkeligt til at gøre metalsaltet olieopløseligt. Carbonhydridgrupperne R^ og R2 kan være alkylgrupper, cy-cloalkylgrupper, arylgrupper, alkarylgrupper eller aral-kylgrupper. R^ og R2, taget sammen, kan repræsentere 15 gruppen bestående af polymethylen og alkyl-substituerede polymethylengrupper, hvorved der dannes en cyclisk forbindelse med nitrogenet. En foretrukken gruppe diénophile er dem, hvori i det mindst én af de K-variable er valgt blandt elektronaccepterende grupper, såsom formyl, cyano, nitro, carboxy, carbohydrocarbyloxy, hydrocarbylcarbonyl, hydrocarbylsul-5 fonyl, carbamyl, acylcarbamyl, N-acyl-N-hydrocarbylcarba-myl, N-hydrocarbylcarbamyi og N,N-dihydrocarbylcarbamyl.
De K-variable, som ikke er elektronaccepterende grupper, er hydrogen, carbonhydrid eller substituerede carbonhy-dridgrupper. Normalt vil carbonhydrid- og de substituere-10 de carbonhydridgrupper ikke indeholde mere end 10 carbon-atomer hver.
De carbonhydridgrupper, der foreligger som N-carbonhy-drid-substituenter, er fortrinsvis alkyl med 1-30 carbon-15 atomer, især 1-10 carbonatomer. Derefter tilsættes 313 dele (5,8 mol) butadien til Opslæmningen over en 2,75 timers periode, mens man holder temperaturen af reaktionsmassen ved 50-61 °C ved ekstern afkøling. Reaktionsmassen blæses med nitrogen i ca. 0,33 timer og overføres derpå til en 4 li-10 ter skilletragt og vaskes med en opløsning af 150 dele koncentreret saltsyre i 1100 dele vand. Derpå udsættes produktet for to yderligere vandvaske under anvendelse af 1000 dele vand for hver vask. Det vaskede reaktionsprodukt bliver derpå destilleret for at fjerne uomsat butyl-15 acrylat og toluen. Remanensen fra dette første destillationstrin udsættes for yderligere destillation under et tryk af 9-10 mm Hg (1,1-1,3 kPa), hvorpå 785 dele af det ønskede produkt opsamles over temperaturintervallet 105-115 °C.

Adduktet af isopren og acrylonitril fremstilles ved at blande 136 dele isopren, 106 dele acrylonitril og 0,5 de-25 le hydroquinon (polymerisationsinhibitor) i en vippeautoklav og ved derefter at opvarme i 16 timer til en temperatur indenfor området 130-140 °C. Autoklaven udluftes, og indholdet dekanteres, hvorved der frembringes 240 dele af en lysegul væske. Butyl-15 acrylatet og aluminiumchloridet anbringes først i en 2 liter beholder, der er forsynet med omrører og tilbagesvaler. Mens man opvarmer reaktionsmassen til en temperatur indenfor området 59-52 °C, sættes cyclopentadienet til beholderen i løbet af 0,5 timer. Derefter bliver re-20 aktionsmassen opvarmet i ca. 7,5 timer ved en temperatur af 95-100 °C. Produktet vaskes med en opløsning indeholdende 400 dele vand og 100 dele koncentreret saltsyre, og det vandige lag kasseres. Derefter sættes 1500 dele benzen til reaktionsmassen, og benzenopløsningen vaskes med 25 300 dele vand, og den vandige fase fjernes. Benzenet fjernes ved destillation, og remanensen strippes ved 27 Pa for at udvinde adduktet som et destillat.

Blæsning med 20 vanddamp, alkoholer, luft eller nitrogengas understøtter fjernelsen af I^S, ligesom opvarmning ved reducerede tryk med eller uden gennemluftning.
Det er undertiden fordelagtigt at inkorporere materialer, 25 der er anvendelige som sulfuriseringskatalysatorer i re- aktionsblandingen. Disse materialer kan være sure, basiske eller neutrale. Anvendelige neutrale og sure materialer omfatter acidificerede lerater, såsom "Super Fil-trol", p-toluensulfonsyre, dialkylphosphordithiosyrer, 30 phosphorsulfider, såsom phosphorpentasulfid, og phoshit- ter, såsom triaryl-phosphitter (f. eks. triphenyl-phos-phit).
De basiske materialer kan være uorganiske oxider og sal-35 te, såsom natriumhydroxid, calciumoxid og natriumsulfid.
De bedste basiske katalysatorer er dog nitrogenbaser, herunder ammoniak og aminer. Aminerne omfatter primære,

19 sekundære og tertiære carbonhydridaminer, hvori carbonhy-dridgrupperne er alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl eller lignende og indeholder ca. 1-20 carbonatomer. Passende aminer omfatter anilin, benzylamin, dibenzylamin, dodecyl-5 amin, naphthylamin, talgaminer, N-ethyldipropylamin, N- phenylbenzylamin, Ν,Ν-diethylbutylamin, m-toluidin og 2,3-xylidin. Også anvendelige er heterocycliske aminer, såsom pyrrolidin, N-methylpyrrolidin, piperidin, pyridin og quinolin.

De foretrukne basiske katalysatorer omfatter ammoniak og primære, sekundære eller tertiære alkylaminer med ca. 1-8 carbonatomer i alkyl-radikalerne. Repræsentative aminer af denne type er methylamin, dimethylamin, trimethylamin, 15 ethylamin, diethylamin, triethylamin, di-n-butylamin, tri-n-butylamin, tri-sek.-hexylamin og tri-n-octylamin. Blandinger af disse aminer kan anvendes, samt blandinger af ammoniak og aminer.

EKSEMPEL I
Til 255 dele (1,65 mol) af isopren-methacrylat-adduktet 30 fra eksempel C opvarmet til en temperatur af 110-120 °C sættes 53 dele (1,65 mol) svovlblomme i løbet af 45 minutter. Opvarmningen fortsættes i 4,5 timer ved en temperatur i intervallet 130-160 °C. Efter afkøling til stuetemperatur bliver reaktionsblandingen filtreret gennem en 35 tragt med glas, der er sintret i middelsvær grad. Filtratet består af 301 dele af de ønskede svovlholdige produkter.

Svovl (4,5 mol) og adduktet af isopren-methylmethacrylat (4,5 mol) blandes ved stuetemperatur og opvarmes i 1 time til 110 °C, mens man leder nitrogen gennem reaktionsmas- -3 -3 3 sen med en hastighed af 7 x 10 til 14 x 10 m pr. ti-20 me. Derpå hæver man temperaturen af reaktionsblandingen til 150-155 °C i 6 timer, mens man bibeholder nitrogen— gennemledningen. Efter opvarmning lader man reaktionsmassen henstå i adskillige timer, mens man afkøler til stuetemperatur, hvorpå der filtreres. Filtratet består af 842 25 dele af det ønskede, svovlholdige produkt.

I en 1 liter kolbe, der er forsynet med en omrører, en 30 tilbagesvaler, en kondensator og en nitrogentilledning, anbringes der 256 dele (1 mol) af adduktet af butadien og isodecylacrylat og 51 g (1,6 mol) svovlblomme, og derpå opvarmes der i 12 timer til en temperatur, man lader blandingen henstå i 21 timer, og der filtreres ved stue-35 temperatur til opnåelse af det ønskede produkt som filtratet .

En behandling involverer sammenblandingen af det sulfuri-5 serede reaktionsprodukt og opløsningen af natriumsulfid i et tidsrum, der er tilstrækkeligt til, at eventuelt ikke omsat svovl kan fjernes ved rensning, sædvanligvis et tidsrum af nogle få minutter til adskillige timer, afhængig af mængden af ikke omsat svovl, mængden og koncentra-10 tionen af opløsningen af natriumsulfid. Temperaturen er ikke kritisk, men normalt vil den ligge i intervallet mellem ca. 20 og ca. 100 °C. Efter behandlingen bliver den resulterende vandige fase separeret fra den organiske fase under anvendelse af konventionel teknik, dvs. dekan-15 tering osv. Andre alkalimetalsulfider, M„S , hvori M er et alkalimetal og x er 1, 2 eller 3, kan anvendes til at fjerne ikke omsat svovl ved rensning, men de sulfider, hvori x er større end 1, er ikke nær så effektive. Man foretrækker opløsninger af natriumsulfid ud fra et pris-20 og effektivitetssynspunkt. Denne metode er beskrevet mere detaljeret i U.S. patentskrift nr. 3 498 915.
Det har også vist sig, at behandlinger af reaktionsprodukterne med faste, uopløselige, sure materialer, såsom 25 syrebehandlede lerarter eller sure harpikser og påfølgende filtrering af den sulfuriserede reaktionsmasse forbedrer produktet hvad angår dets farve og opløselighedsegen-skaber. En sådan behandling omfatter grundig blanding af reaktionsblandingen med mellem ca. 0,1 og ca. 10 vægt-% 30 af det faste, sure materiale ved en temperatur på ca. 25-150 °C og påfølgende filtrering af produktet.
Som før anført er der ikke noget behov for at separere de svovlholdige produkter, der fremstilles ved de ovenfor 35 angivne reaktioner. Reaktionsproduktet er en blanding, der omfatter de forbindelser, hvis struktur er blevet be- . stemt, men som også omfatter forbindelser, hvis struktur

25 er ukendt. Da det i økonomisk henseende er uigennemførligt at separere komponenterne af reaktionsblandingen, anvendes de i kombination som en blanding af svovlholdige forbindelser.

For at fjerne de sidste spor af urenheder fra reaktionsblandingen, især når det anvendte addukt blev fremstillet under anvendelse af en Lewis-syre-katalysator (f.eks.
A1C13), er det undertiden ønskeligt at tilsætte et orga-10 nisk inert solvent til det flydende reaktionsprodukt og -efter grundig blanding - at genfiltrere materialet. Derpå bliver solventet fjernet fra produktet ved destillation. Passende solventer omfatter solventer af den i det foregående angivne type, såsom benzen, toluen, de højere al- * 15 kaner osv. En særlig anvendelig klasse af solventer er de letflygtige væsker, der anvendes i tekstilindustrien.
Desuden kan andre konventionelle rensningsteknikker med fordel anvendes ved rensning af sulfuriserede produkter 20 anvendt ved opfindelsen. F.eks. kan man tilsætte kommercielle filterhjælpemidler til materialerne før filtreringen for at forøge filtreringens effektivitet. Filtrering gennem diatoméjord er særlig anvendelig, når den påtænkte anvendelse kræver fjernelse af i det væsentlige alle 25 faste materialer. Imidlertid er sådanne midler kendt af sagkyndige og kræver ikke nogen detaljeret diskussion her.
Vægtforholdet mellem metalsalt (A) og sulfuriseret addukt 30 (B) ligger indenfor intervallet fra ca. 1:10 til ca.
50:1. De præcise mængder af de to komponenter, der skal inkorporeres i blandingerne ifølge opfindelsen, kan let bestemmes af en sagkyndig.
35 Blandingerne ifølge opfindelsen indeholder også mindst et som hjælpemiddel tjenende korrosionsinhiberende materiale (komponent (C)). Ved én udførelsesform er den korrosions-

Blandt disse er den lettest tilgængelige og den, der foretrækkes i forbindelse med opfindelsen, 2,5-dimercapto- 1,3,4-thiadiazol. Denne forbindelse kaldes undertiden for DMTD. Det må dog forstås, at enhver af de andre dimercap-5 tothiadiazoler kan anvendes i stedet for hele mængden af eller en del af DMTD.
DMTD fremstilles hensigtsmæssigt ved reaktion mellem et mol hydrazin eller et hydrazinsalt og to mol carbondisul-10 fid i et alkalisk medium, efterfulgt af syrning.
Kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen er smøreolier, og komponent (C) er sædvanligvis DMTD eller derivater af DMTD. Derivater af DMTD er beskrevet i publikationer, og enhver 15 af sådanne forbindelser kan inkorporeres i kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen. Fremstillingen af nogle derivater af DMTD er beskrevet i E.K. Fields "Industrial and Engineering Chemistry", 49, side 1361-4 (september 1957). Med henblik på fremstilling af de olieopløselige derivater af 20 DMTD er det muligt at anvende allerede fremstillet DMTD eller at fremstille DMTD in situ og derpå at tilsætte det materiale, der skal omsættes med DMTD.
U.S. patenter 2 719 125, 2 719 126 og 3 087 937 beskriver 25 fremstillingen af forskellige 2,5-bis-(carbonhydriddi-thio)-l,3,4-thiadiazoler. Carbonhydridgruppen kan være alifatisk eller aromatisk, herunder cyclisk, alicyclisk, aralkyl, aryl og alkaryl. Passende sulfenylchlorider, der er anvendelige 10 ved den første metode, kan fremstilles ved at chlorere en mercaptan (RSH eller R'SH) med chlor i carbontetrachlo-rid. Ved en anden metode chloreres DMTD til dannelse af det ønskede bisulfenylchlorid, der derpå omsættes med mindst en mercaptan (RSH og/eller R'SH).
15 U.S. patentskrift nr. 3 087 932 beskriver en ettrinspro-ces til fremstilling af 2,5-bis(hydrocarbyldithio)-1,3-4-thiadiazol. Metoden involverer reaktionen mellem enten DMTD eller dets alkalimetal- eller ammoniumsalt og en 20 mercaptan i nærværelse af hydrogenperoxid og et solvent. Olieopløselige eller oliedispergerbare reaktionsprodukter af DMTD kan også fremstilles ved reaktionen mellem DMTD og en mercaptan og myresyre. Kompositioner fremstillet på denne måde er beskrevet i U.S. patent 2 749 311. Enhver 25 mercaptan kan anvendes ved reaktionen, skønt alifatiske og aromatiske mono- eller poly-mercaptaner med fra 1 til 30 carbonatomer er foretrukket.
Carboxyliske estere af DMTD med den almene formel 30 r-c (o) -s-<i C-S-C(O) -R1 (VIII) 35 hvori R og R' er carbonhydridgrupper, såsom alifatiske, aryl- og alkarylgrupper indeholdende fra ca. 2 til ca. 30 carbonatomer eller derover, er beskrevet i U.S. patent

Olefinerne indeholder generelt fra ca. 6 til 30 carbonatomer.

Betegnelsen "basisk salt" anvendes til at identificere metalsalte, hvori metallet er tilstede i støkiometrisk større mængder end den organiske syregruppe. Kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen omfattende komponenterne (A), (B) og (C) og/eller (D) kan sættes direkte til smøremidlet til dannelse af en komposition ifølge opfindelsen. Imidlertid fortyndes de fortrinsvis med et i det 20 væsentlige inert, normalt flydende organisk fortyndingsmiddel, såsom mineralolie, naphtha, benzen, toluen eller xylen, til dannelse af et additiv-koncentrat. 30 Kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen er især anvendelige til forbedring af egenskaberne af smøremidler, der kun indeholder lidt eller intet phosphor, især smøremidler, der indeholder under 0,1% og generelt under ca. 0,08% phosphor. Ved sådanne smøremidler med lavt eller intet phosphorind-hold foretrækkes det at anvende et sulfuriseret Diels-Alder-addukt (komponent (B)) fremstillet ved at omsætte svovl med et addukt i et molforhold på under 1:1.

Smøreoliekompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen omfatter en større andel olie med smørende viskositet, herunder naturlige og syntetiske smøreolier og blandinger deraf.
15 Naturlige olier omfatter animalske olier og vegetabilske olier (f.eks. ricinusolie, spækolie) samt mineralske smøreolier, såsom flydende jordolieolier og solventbehandle-de eller syrebehandlede mineralske smøreolier af den pa-raffiniske, naphtheniske eller den blandede paraffinisk-20 naphtheniske type. Olier med smørende viskositet afledt af kul eller skifer er også anvendelige. En anden passende gruppe syntetiske smøreolier, som kan anvendes, omfatter esterne af dicarboxylsyrer (f.eks. phthalsyre, ravsyre, alkylravsyrer, alkenylravsyrer, ma-15 leinsyre, azelainsyre, suberinsyre, sebacinsyre, fumarsy-re, adipinsyre, linolsyredimer, malonsyre, alkylmalonsy-rer, alkenylmalonsyrer osv) med mange forskellige alkoholer (f.eks. butanol, hexanol, dodecylalkohol, 2-ethylhe-xanol, ethylenglycol, diethylenglycolmonoether, propylen-20 glycol osv). Andre syntetiske smørende olier omfatter polymere tetrahydrofuraner og lignende.
Ikke raffinerede, raffinerede og genraffinerede olier, enten naturlige eller syntetiske (samt blandinger af to 10 eller flere af enhver af disse) af den i det foregående angivne type kan anvendes i kompositionerne ifølge opfindelsen. Ikke raffinerede olier er dem, der er fremkommet direkte ud fra en naturlig eller syntetisk kilde uden yderligere rensningsbehandling. F.eks. er en skiferolie, 15 der er fremkommet direkte ud fra retortdrift, en jord-olieolie, der er fremkommet direkte ud fra primær destillation, eller en esterolie, der er fremkommer direkte ud fra en esterifikationsproces og anvendt uden yderligere behandling, en uraffineret olie. Raffinerede olier er af 20 lignende art som de uraffinerede olier med undtagelse af, at de er blevet yderligere behandlet ved et eller flere rensningstrin for at forbedre en eller flere egenskaber.
De sagkyndige kender mange sådanne rensningsteknikker, såsom solvent-ekstraktion, sekundær destillation, sur el-25 ler basisk ekstraktion, filtrering, percolering osv. Re-raffinerede olier fremkommer ved processer af lignende art som dem, der anvendes til opnåelse af raffinerede olier, bragt i anvendelse i forbindelse med raffinerede olier, der allerede har været anvendt i drift. Sådanne 30 reraffinerede olier kendes også som regenererede eller genvundne olier, og de er ofte behandlet yderligere under anvendelse af teknikker, der er rettet på fjernelse af forbrugte additiver og olienedbrydningsprodukter.

Den op timale mængde, der skal anvendes i et givet smøremiddel, vil naturligvis afhænge af de andre indholdsstoffer af den pågældende smørende komposition, de driftsbetingelser, for hvilke den udsættes, og de særlige additiver, 10 som anvendes. I smørende kompositioner, der er i drift under yderst nedbrydende betingelser, såsom smøremidler til marine dieselmotorer, kan kompositionerne forefindes i smøremidlet i mængder på op til ca. 30 vægt-% eller derover af den totale vægt af smøremidler.

Ved en foretrukken udførelsesform vil smøreolien omfatte en olie med smørende viskositet og komponenterne (A), (B) og (C) som før beskrevet. Sædvanligvis vil komponent (D) også være inkorporeret i smøremidlerne. Opfindelsen om-20 fatter også anvendelsen af andre additiver i de smørende kompositioner ifølge opfindelsen. Sådanne additiver omfatter f.eks. oxidationsinhiberende midler, flydepunktssænkende midler, højtryksmidler, antislidmidler, farve-stabiliserende midler og skumdæmpningsmidler.

Flydepunktssænkende midler er en særligt anvendelig type af additiv, der ofte inkorporeres i de her beskrevne smøreolier. Claims (10)
1. Smøreoliekomposition, kendetegnet ved, at 5 den omfatter: en hovedmængde af en olie med smørende viskositet og en mindre, egenskabsforbedrende mængde af en olieopløselig komposition omfattende: 10 (A) mindst et metalsalt af mindst en dithiocarbaminsyre med formlen R^RgJN-CSSH 15 hvori R^ og hver især uafhængigt er carbonhydrid-grupper indeholdende et sådant antal carbonatomer, at metalsaltet bliver olieopløseligt; og 20 (B) mindst en olieopløselig, sulfuriseret, organisk for bindelse omfattende reaktionsproduktet af svovl og et Diels-Alder addukt i et molforhold på mindre end ca. 1,7:1, hvor vægtforholdet mellem (A) og (B) ligger i området fra ca. 1:10 til ca. 50:1, og 25 (C) mindst en som hjælpestof tjenende korrosionsinhibitor i form af et olieopløseligt derivat af en dimercapto-thiadiazol, hvor vægtforholdet mellem (C) og blandingen af (A) og (B) er fra ca. 0,001:1 til ca. 0,5:1; 30 og hvor smøreoliekompositionen indeholder mindre end ca. 0,1 vægt-% phosphor. 1 Komposition ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at R^ og R2 er alkylgrupper med mindst 2 carbonatomer, og 35 at metallet i metalsaltet (A) er et polyvalent metal. Komposition ifølge krav 3, kendetegnet 10 ved, at den alifatiske konjugerede dien svarer til formlen R1 R1 R3 R4 15 ^C —C-C=C^^ (V) R-^ ^R5 1 5 hvori R og R til R hver for sig uafhængigt er valgt 20 blandt hydrogen, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, alkenyl, alke-nyloxy, carboxy, cyano, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, phenyl og phenyl substitueret med 1-3 substituenter sva- 1 5 2 3 5 rende til R og R til R ; eller R, R , R og R er som 1 4 angivet ovenfor, og R og R er alkylengrupper, der er 25 bundet sammen til dannelsen af en cyclisk dien.

9. Komposition ifølge et vilkårligt af de foregående 10 krav, kendetegnet ved, at det phosphor, der er tilstede, foreligger i form af et phosphordithioat.
10. Komposition ifølge et vilkårligt af kravene 1 til 8, kendetegnet ved, at smøreoliekompositionen i 15 det væsentlige ikke indeholder noget phosphor.
11. Komposition ifølge et vilkårligt af kravene 1 til 10, kendetegnet ved, at (B) er reaktionsproduktet mellem svovl og et Diels-Alder-addukt i et molært forhold 20 på mindre end ca. 1:1.
12. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en smøreoliekomposition, kendetegnet ved, at man til en hovedmængde af en olie med smørende viskositet sætter en 25 mindre egenskabsforbedrende mængde af en olie-opløselig komposition omfattende: (A) mindst et metalsalt af mindst en dithiocarbaminsyre med formlen 30 R^R^N-CSSH hvori R^ og R^ hver især uafhængigt er carbonhydrid-grupper indeholdende et sådant antal carbonatomer, at 35 metalsaltet bliver olieopløseligt; og DK 166365 B (B) mindst en olieopløselig, sulfuriseret, organisk forbindelse omfattende reaktionsproduktet af svovl og et Diels-Alder addukt i et molforhold på mindre end ca. 1,7:1, hvor vægtforholdet mellem (A) og (B) ligger i 5 området fra ca. 1:10 til ca. 50:1, og (C) mindst en som hjælpestof tjenende korrosionsinhibitor i form af et olieopløseligt derivat af en dimercapto-thiadiazol, hvorved vægtforholdet mellem (C) og blan- 10 dingen af (A) og (B) er fra ca. 0,001:1 til ca. 0,5:1; og hvor smøreoliekompositionen indeholder mindre end ca. 0,1 vægt-% phosphor. 15 20 25 30 35
