Claims (10)
1. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed (102) til at indsamle affaldsmateriale gennem sugeledninger (262) under en medicinsk procedure, idet enheden omfatter: en første affaldsbeholder (200) med et maksimalt opbevaringvolumen og et forbindelseselement (258) konfigureret til at modtage en første sugeledning hvorigennem medicinsk/kirurgisk affald kan trækkes ind i den første affaldsbeholder; en anden affaldsbeholder (202) med et maksimalt opbevaringsvolumen større end det maksimale opbevaringsvolumen i den første affaldsbeholder; et vakuumkredsløb (400) omfattende en vakuumkilde (402) indrettet til at tilvejebringe et vakuum i affaldsbeholderne for at trække affaldsmaterialet ind i affaldsbeholderne gennem sugeledningerne; og en omskiftningsventil (276) placeret mellem affaldsbeholderne og funktionel mellem åbne og lukkede positioner til at muliggøre overførslen af affaldsmateriale fra den første affaldsbeholder til den anden affaldsbeholder; hvor den anden beholder omfatter et forbindelseselement (258) konfigureret til at modtage en anden sugeledning hvorigennem medicinsk/kirurgisk affald kan trækkes ind i den anden affaldsbeholder; og vakuumkredsløbet (400) er konfigureret til at tilvejebringe uafhængigt styrbare vakuumniveauer i den første og den anden affaldsbeholder (200, 202) således at første og anden vakuumniveauer der er forskellige fra hinanden kan fastslås i den første og den anden affaldsbeholder (200, 202), respektivt; kendetegnet ved at vakuumkredsløbet (400) omfatter første og anden vakuumregulatorer (408, 410) omfattende første og andet ventilelement (412, 418) og første og anden ventilaktuatorer (414, 420) funktionelt koblet dertil for at flytte det første og andet ventilelement (412, 418) til selektiv åben væskekommunikation eller luftoverførsel mellem den første og den anden affaldsbeholder, respektivt, og vakuumkilden eller mellem den første og den anden affaldsbeholder, respektivt, og atmosfærisk tryk; og ved at materiale samtidigt kan trækkes ind i den første affaldsbeholder (200) på det første vakuumniveau og materiale kan trækkes ind i den anden affaldsbeholder (202) på det andet vakuumniveau, eller en ad gangen ind i den første og den anden affaldsbeholder (200, 202).
2. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge krav 1, hvor det maksimale opbevaringsvolumen i den anden affaldsbeholder (202) er større end to gange det maksimale opbevaringsvolumen i den første affaldsbeholder (200) således at den første affaldsbeholder kan tømmes mindst to gange ind i den anden affaldsbeholder inden den anden affaldsbeholder fyldes til det maksimale opbevaringsvolumen i den anden affaldsbeholder.
3. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et af kravene 1 eller 2, endvidere omfattende en aktuator (328) funktionelt koblet til omskiftningsventilen (276) for at flytte omskiftningsventilen mellem den åbne og den lukkede position.
4. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor vakuumkredsløbet (400) er yderligere konfigureret til at regulere niveauerne af vakuum trukket fra affaldsbeholderne (200, 202) således at når omskiftningsventilen (276) er åben, ventileres vakuummet der forekommer i den første affaldsbeholder (200) til atmosfærisk tryk og vakuumkredsløbet (400) fastsætter vakuumniveauet i den anden beholder (202) således at vakuumniveauet er det laveste af et ønsket vakuumniveau i den første affaldsbeholder (200) eller et ønsket vakuumniveau i den anden beholder (202).
5. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, hvor: vakuumkilden er en enkelt vakuumpumpe (402).
6. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor: den første beholder (200) er placeret over den anden beholder (202); og omskiftningsventilen (276) er placeret mellem beholderne (200, 202).
7. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor: forbindelseselementet (258) i den første affaldsbeholder (200) er indrettet til at modtage en første manifold (260) der er konfigureret til at modtage den første sugeledning (262); og forbindelseselementet (258) i den anden affaldsbeholder (202) er indrettet til at modtage en anden manifold (260) der er konfigureret til at modtage den anden sugeledning (262).
8. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7, endvidere omfattede: en aktuator (328) funktionelt koblet til omskiftningsventilen (276) for at flytte omskiftningsventilen (276) mellem den åbne og den lukkede position; en positionssensor (338) som reagerer på bevægelse af omskiftningsventilen (276) mellem den åbne og den lukkede position for at danne et positionssignal; en controller (342) i kommunikation ned positionssensoren (338) for at modtage positionssignalet og bestemme en position på omskiftningsventilen (276); og en brugergrænseflade (311, 313) i kommunikation med controlleren (324) for at tillade at en bruger anmoder om overførsel af affaldsmaterialet fra den første affaldsbeholder (200) til den anden affaldsbeholder (202); hvor controlleren (324) er konfigureret til at instruere aktuatoren (328) til at flytte omskiftningsventilen (276) til den åbne position som reaktion på en brugeranmodning og til den lukkede position når affaldsmaterialet er blevet overført fra den første affaldsbeholder (200) til den anden affaldsbeholder (202).
9. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, endvidere omfattende: øvre og nedre vakuumcontrollere (411, 413) der er del af vakuumkredsløbet (400); en hovedcontroller (342) til at betjene affaldsindsamlingsenheden (102) og til at styre drift af vakuumregulatorer (408, 410) gennem de øvre og nedre vakuumcontrollere (411, 413) for at fastholde ønskede vakuumniveauer i hver af affaldsbeholderne (200, 202); en første tryksensor (424) som reagerer på trykændringer i den første affaldsbeholder (200) og konfigureret til at danne et første tryksignal repræsentativt for trykket i den første affaldsbeholder (200) og til at sende det første tryksignal til den øvre vakuumcontroller (411); og en anden tryksensor (426) som reagerer på trykændringer i den anden affaldsbeholder (202) og konfigureret til at danne et andet tryksignal repræsentativt for trykket i den anden affaldsbeholder (202) og til at sende det andet tryksignal til den nedre vakuumcontroller (413).
10. Affaldsindsamlingsenhed ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 9, endvidere omfattende et røgudtømningssystem (800) til at fjerne røg fra en væske under en kirurgisk operation.
