Claims (6)
1. Granuleret maltitol med en koncentration på mere end eller lig med 97 %, fortrinsvis på mellem 98 og 99 %, kendetegnet ved, at det har: - et vandindhold mindre end 1 %, fortrinsvis mindre end 0,5 %, endnu mere fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 0,4 %, - en kompressibilitet større end eller lig med 300 N, fortrinsvis mellem 300 og 500 N, - en hygroskopicitet mindre end eller lig med 2,5 %, fortrinsvis mellem 0,15 og 2,5 %.
2. Granuleret maltitol ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at det har en tilsyneladende massefylde, som bestemt ifølge den målemetode, der anbefales i den Europæiske Farmakopé (EF 5.0 bind 1, 01/2005: 20915 afsnit 2.9.15. TILSYNELADENDE RUMVÆGT; udstyr ifølge figur 2.9.15.-1), mellem 0,30 og 0,90 g/ml, fortrinsvis mellem 0,40 og 0,80 g/ml.
3. Granuleret maltitol ifølge et af kravene 1 og 2, kendetegnet ved, at det har en fri strømning, som bestemt ifølge den målemetode, der anbefales i den Europæiske Farmakopé (EF 5.0 bind 1, 01/2005: 20916 afsnit 2.9.16. STRØMNING; udstyr ifølge figur 2.9.16.-2), på mellem 5 og 12 sekunder.
4. Granuleret maltitol ifølge et hvilket som et af kravene 1 til 3, kendetegnet ved, at det har en opløsningshastighed i vand mindre end eller lig med 40 sekunder, fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 35 sekunder, endnu mere fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 30 sekunder.
5. Granuleret maltitol ifølge et hvilket som et af kravene 1 til 4, kendetegnet ved, at det har en gennemsnitlig volumendiameter, målt ved laserdiffraktions-granulometri ved hjælp af et tørprocesmodul, mellem 200 og 500 pm, fortrinsvis mellem 250 og 400 pm.

Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af granuleret maltitol ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved, at den omfatter følgende trin: a) fremstilling af en maltitolsirup med et tørstofindhold under 50 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 20 og 45 vægt-%, og med en koncentration af maltitol større end eller lig med 70 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 75 og 95 vægt-%, b) indførelse i en granulator med luftfluidiseret leje af et pulverformet leje af krystalliseret maltitol med en koncentration mindst lig med 99 vægt-% og med en gennemsnitlig diameter mellem 30 og 100 pm, c) indstilling af temperaturen af indgangsluften til granulatoren på en værdi mellem 100 og 120 °C og hastigheden af fluidiseringsluften på en værdi mellem 1 og 2 m/s, d) fin forstøvning af maltitolsiruppen fra trin a) i granulatoren ved en temperatur mellem 35 og 45 °C, fortrinsvis ved en temperatur af størrelsesordenen 40 °C på det pulverformede leje i bevægelse af partikler af krystalliseret maltitol fra trin b), idet lejet har en temperatur mellem 30 og 60 °C, idet massen af lejet konstant udgør mindst 2,5 gange massen af pulveriseret sirup, e) tørring ved forøgelse af temperaturen af luften i granulatoren, når den fine forstøvning af siruppen er afsluttet, til en temperatur under maltitols smeltetemperatur, fortrinsvis til en temperatur under 130 °C, mere fortrinsvis til en temperatur af størrelsesordenen 120 °C, indtil temperaturen af lejet ligger mellem 70 og 80 °C, fortrinsvis af størrelsesordenen 75 °C, f) afkøling af det således opnåede granulerede maltitol til en temperatur på højst 25 °C, fortrinsvis til en temperatur af størrelsesordenen 20 °C, og opsamling af det således opnåede granulerede maltitol.
