Abstract
La presente invención está dirigida a un método para el tratamiento de infecciones de hueso o médula ósea, infección de la articulación o infección de los tejidos circundantes a la articulación por la administración del antibiótico tigeciclina sola o en combinación con un antibiótico de rifamicina. En una realización de preferencia, la infección de hueso o de médula ósea causa osteomielitis. En otra realización, la infección articular o infección de los tejidos circundantes causa artritis séptica. La invención también está dirigida a la fabricación de un medicamento para el tratamiento de infecciones de hueso y/o médula ósea, o infecciones articulares y/o infecciones en los tejidos circundantes a la articulación con tigeciclina sola o en combinación con rifampicina.
