Definitions
- the invention relates to a tilt and turn window or door according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the counteracting element is attached to the casement in the area of the opening scissors, specifically to the additional link (3328 in FIG. 82).
- the actuator (3346) is mounted on the faceplate (3350) so as to be longitudinally displaceable and spring-loaded into the engagement position.
- a lost motion connection between the drive rod (3342) and the actuator causes the actuator to be held in the ready-to-tilt position by the drive rod in the disengaged position on one side of the counteractuator and is released by the drive rod when moving into the functional position of the gap opening fixation for movement into the release position of the actuator under the spring preload.
- the movable actuator When the drive rod moves further into the operational position ready for rotation, the movable actuator remains in its engaged position. In this way, the opening arm of the opening scissors is also fixed in parallel position on the sash in the ready-to-turn position via the actuator which fixes the additional arm, which corresponds to the usual function in a tilt and turn fitting with opening scissors.
- this lost motion connection can also be applied to embodiments (FIGS. 25 to 28) which are independent of the function of the stay scissors, in which the counter-actuator is not attached to the sash frame, but to the frame, like the actuator.
- the actuator and counter-actuator must not interlock in the ready-to-turn position, as otherwise the window or door cannot be opened in rotation.
- the actuator and the counteractuator are displaced relative to one another perpendicular to the wing plane such that, when the wing is completely closed, the actuator can be moved past the counteractuator into a second disengaged position on the other side of the counteractuator.
- Very small gap opening widths are excluded in the known solution due to the offset arrangement of the actuator and counter-actuator. If you arrange the actuators on the sash or frame spar remote from the axis of rotation Depending on the distance from the tilt axis, relatively small gap opening widths in the area of the actuator and counter-actuator already result in relatively large tilt angles. Particularly in the case of high windows, however, it is desirable to extend the possible gap opening or tilt angle range to very small gap openings or tilt angles.
- a counteracting element which is displaceable against spring force is provided on the frame, which is taken by the actuator when the actuator changes from the ready-to-turn position to the ready-to-tilt position with the possibility of either pivoting into a gap-opening position of the wing or , after overcoming the spring force, fully tilt the wing.
- the gap opening fixing position of the drive rod means is therefore identical to the readiness to tilt. Due to the special construction, only a single tilt angle of the wing can be set.
- a tilt and turn fitting is known with a closure for setting a (single) ventilation gap.
- the actuator is attached to the free end of an elongated leaf spring fixed to the faceplate.
- the direction of movement of the actuator is thus perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the wing leg carrying the leaf spring.
- the movement is controlled via a single cam projection, which is attached to the drive rod and slides along a control surface which is formed by one side of the leaf spring.
- the leaf spring is not able to absorb larger transverse forces without permanent bending, as occurs with high sash weights or strong wind forces with sashes in the gap opening position.
- the invention has for its object to provide a tilt and turn window or door of the type mentioned with extensive freedom of placement of the actuator and counter actuator, which is suitable for a large tilt angle range with an unrestricted small minimum tilt angle and simple and ensures reliable fitting function even with improper operation.
- the actuator and counter-actuator can be placed largely freely on the respective frame, in particular on the respective spar remote from the axis of rotation near the tilting axis, in order to enable gap opening fixation in the entire tilting angle range.
- the wing automatically assumes the closest gap opening position. Since the actuator and counter-actuator now engage in one another in a snap-in manner, the wing maintains this gap opening position even if external forces, e.g. Wind forces.
- the particularly preferred embodiment according to claims 5 and 6 is advantageous because the single element, namely the retaining rocker arm, both causes the movement of the actuator in dependence on the movement of the center rod and at the same time allows the spring-back movement of the actuator.
- the housing according to claim 8 allows the pre-assembly of the part comprising the movable actuator and the retaining device, which reduces the assembly costs in the manufacture of the tilt and turn window and also facilitates retrofitting.
- the housing is preferably constructed according to claim 9; It should be emphasized that only two parts have to be accommodated in the housing, namely the compression spring and the retaining rocker arm.
- the control surface of the first cam control device now only needs to comprise a single step, for example, a corresponding slot for receiving the retaining rocker arm has to be incorporated in the drive rod, with the particular advantage of a large adjustment path of the actuator, since the retaining rocker arm can dip into the slot. A possibly feared jamming of the rocker arm on the otherwise necessary second stage can no longer occur.
- the measures according to claim 11 ensure a particularly simple construction of the second cam control device.
- an insert according to claim 12 is proposed. This also makes retrofitting much easier, since now only the insert is to be inserted into a corresponding elongated hole in the drive rod means (claim 13). This elongated hole can already be provided on the center of the connecting rod or can also be produced subsequently without any particular effort.
- the desired large tilt angle range is obtained due to the short distance to the tilt axis.
- the embodiment of the invention according to claim 15 offers the following advantage:
- the drive rod means When the drive rod means are moved from the readiness to tilt position towards the ready to turn position, the drive rod means usually move downward in the lower half of the frame spar remote from the pivot bearing, that is to say in the direction of the tilt axis.
- the movement reversing element now ensures that the movable actuator moves downward from the engagement position into the disengaged position when the drive rod means are moved upward from the gap opening fixing position into the tilt ready position.
- the window frame spar further from the axis of rotation is thus clamped between the lower tilting bearing and the counter actuator in accordance with the spring preload when the actuator and counter actuator are in the mutually engaged position.
- the sash thus reliably maintains the gap opening fixing position that is set in each case.
- the actuator would engage the counteracting element from above, so that the sash frame may be adjusted, since this often rests only on a lower tilting bearing and, if subjected to a corresponding force or misalignment, for example a lower thrust bearing, may be over the teeth of the engagement comb of the actuator slide away.
- a frame is generally designated 10 and a sash frame with 12.
- the sash frame is tiltable relative to the frame 10 about a tilt axis 14 and rotatable about an axis of rotation 16.
- a raising device 22 is arranged between the upper frame leg 18 and the upper wing frame leg 20, which includes a raising arm 24 and an additional link 28.
- the extension arm 24 is rotatably mounted on the frame 10 about the axis of rotation 16 and is connected at 26 to the upper casement leg 20 by a rotary slide guide.
- the additional arm 28 is articulated at 30 with the extension arm 24 and at 32 with the upper wing frame leg.
- At 34 there is a permanently functioning corner bearing, which is used both for storage about the tilt axis 14 and for storage about the axis of rotation 16.
- a tilting bearing is provided which only functions for the purpose of tilting opening and can be opened for the purpose of rotating opening.
- the extension arm 24 is fixed on the sash frame 12 in a parallel position to the sash frame leg 20, namely in that a locking bar 38 of the sash frame 12 engages behind a locking bar 40 on the opening arm 24.
- the displacement of the locking bolt 28, the opening and closing of the tilting bearing 36 and the production of the engagement of further pairs of locking bolts, not shown, between the sash frame 12 and the frame 10 is effected by connecting rod means which are moved along the respective sash frame arm by a manual operating handle 44 on the sash frame arm remote from the axis of rotation will.
- An actuator 46 movable with the associated drive rod is attached to the sash frame leg 42, which is remote from the axis of rotation, and a counter actuator 50 fixed to the frame, which is remote from the axis of rotation.
- These actuators 46 and 50 act together to define several (in the example 7 shown) tilt-tilt positions of the sash.
- the tilt opening angle ⁇ shown in FIG. 2 can be set in a wide range, for example in the range between 0 and 5 °, with a maximum tilt opening angle in the tilt ready position (without mutual engagement) of the actuators 46 and 50 according to FIG. 1 of, for example, 7 °.
- a tilt opening angle range for the tilt-tilt positions up to and including the maximum tilt opening angle in the tilt-ready position of the fitting can also be achieved. Due to the proximity of the actuators 46 and 50 to the tilt axis 14, even with these relatively large tilt opening angles it is ensured that the actuators 46, 50 have the same width as in FIGS. 2 indicated width a of the frame rebate peripheral surface of the casement 12 and the frame 10 do not exceed. It is thus possible to optionally set the tilt-and-tilt positions of the wing over a wide tilt-opening angle range, with the additional advantage that, in contrast to the tilt-open position of the wing in FIG.
- one of the two actuators namely the movable actuator 46, is designed to spring back in the direction away from the actuator 50 fixed to the frame, so that mutual damage to the counter actuators after incorrect operation of the fitting is prevented.
- the design of the actuators 46 and 50 will be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- a housing 52 holding the movable actuator 46 is screwed to a faceplate 56 by means of a slotted head screw 54;
- the housing 52 which is elongate in the direction of the faceplate 56, is provided with a projection 58 at both housing ends, the projection 58 closer to the tilt axis (lower in FIGS. 2 and 3) in a correspondingly adapted opening 60 of the faceplate 56 extends and the upper projection 58 into an elongated hole 62 of the faceplate 56.
- the housing 52 is formed in two parts with a bottom part 64 lying flat on the faceplate 56 and a cover part 66.
- the movable actuator 46 consists of a holder 76 which is elongated in the longitudinal direction of the faceplate and an engagement part 78 which can be fastened to the upper end of the holder 76 by means of a slotted head screw 80, either in the orientation shown in FIG. 2 for the right-hand stop, or in a position rotated by 180 ° around a vertical axis for left stop.
- the engagement part 78 has the shape of an engagement comb 81 with a total of 7 teeth 82 which project upwards and which lie on an arc in a plane perpendicular to the window plane with the center of the circle lying on the tilt axis 14.
- the carrier 76 protrudes into the housing interior 86 through an inlet opening 84 provided at the upper housing end and its cross section is adapted to the housing cross section, so that the carrier 76 is linearly guided in the longitudinal direction of the housing (double arrow B).
- a helical compression spring 88 in the housing interior 86 is supported on the one hand on the lower end wall 90 of the housing and on the other hand on the lower end of the support 76.
- a double arm lever 92 is mounted on the housing 52 with a tilt axis 94 perpendicular to the casement.
- the bottom part 64 with the double arm lever 92 is on both sides encompassing bearing projections 96 which engage in a two common recess 98 of the faceplate 56.
- the intermediate double-arm lever 92 consequently also passes through this recess 98.
- the two arms of the double-arm lever 92 run away from one another.
- the left arm 100 in FIG. 3 engages in an elongated hole 102 of the carrier 76 parallel to the faceplate longitudinal direction within the housing 52.
- the end section of the carrier 76 in the form of a transverse web 104 adjoining the lower end of the elongated hole 102 is accordingly between the compression spring 88 and the arm 100; when the double arm lever 92 is held, the web 104 is thus pressed against the arm 100 by the compression spring 88.
- the double arm lever 92 engages with its other arm 106 on the section 72 of the faceplate 74, depending on the respective drive rod position, it either engages in an elongated hole 108 of the faceplate (release position of the lever 92 according to FIGS. 2 and 3) or on of the continuous outer side 110 of the section.
- the lever 92 In the latter lever position, referred to as the tilt-and-hold position, corresponding to the rocker position of the second embodiment in FIG. 8, the lever 92 is pivoted counterclockwise in FIG. 3 with respect to the release tilt position, with the inevitable consequence that the web 104 and thus the movable one Actuator 46 as such is withdrawn from an engagement position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 with engagement in the actuator 50 fixed to the frame to a release position corresponding to the illustration in FIG. 8 with the second embodiment.
- the double arm lever 92 together with the control surface (inner side 110 and elongated hole 108) formed on the drive rod section 72, forms a first cam control device for controlling the movement of the movable actuating member 46 as a function of the movement of the drive rod 74.
- a second cam control device which is independent of this is provided by the slotted-head screw 80 formed and a driving edge 114 of the drive rod 74.
- This driving edge 114 is formed by the upper end of an elongated hole 116 of the drive rod 74, which is cut in the region of the double offset at the upper end of the section 72.
- the driving surface or driving edge 114 therefore lies in the same plane as the connecting rod section 118 which adjoins the section 72 upwards and is directly adjacent to the faceplate 56.
- a cylindrical end section 120 of the slotted head screw 80 which projects into this area interacts, namely in such a way that when the drive rod 74 moves downward in FIG. 3, the driving edge 114 finally strikes the slotted-head screw 80 and subsequently takes the movable actuator 46 downward.
- This entraining movement is independent of the double lever 92, since this can maintain its current tilt position with increasing distance of the crosspiece 104 from the arm 100.
- the insert 272 is provided with an elongated hole 308 corresponding to the elongated hole 108 in shape and position, into which the double arm lever 292 is immersed in certain positions of the drive rod 274; otherwise the arm 306 rests on the outside 310 of the insert 272 following the elongated hole 308 downward under the pretension of the helical compression spring 288.
- a correspondingly dimensioned step 322 is now formed at the upper end of the insert 272 with a step surface 324 pointing downward, which forms the driving edge and with the correspondingly well over the faceplate 256 cooperates with the inwardly projecting end section 262 of the slotted head screw 280.
- the two embodiments according to FIGS. 2 and 3 and FIG. 8 have the same structure.
- a housing 252 is also provided, which, when the connecting rod fitting is manufactured or subsequently on the connecting rod 256, and preferably according to FIG.
- the blind frame-fixed actuator 50 is equally suitable for the two configurations of the movable actuator, housing and drive rod in this area according to FIGS. 2 and 3 and FIG. 8. It consists of an L-angle piece, one leg 400 of which is attached to the inwardly facing frame rebate circumferential surface of the frame frame leg 48 remote from the pivot bearing, for example by means of two wood screws 402 (see FIGS. 2 and 3), and its other leg 404 parallel to the plane of the frame is intended for engagement in the tooth space 406 between two successive teeth 82 of the movable actuator 46.
- the width b of the leg 404 perpendicular to the plane of the frame therefore approximately corresponds to the clear tooth spacing.
- both the teeth 82 are tapered and the lower edge 405 of the leg 404 (bevel 408).
- the opposite upper edge 407 of the leg 404 is also provided with a bevel 408.
- the drive rod 74 is shown continuously according to FIGS. 2 and 3, with the cuff rail lying above it being omitted.
- the screw 80 connects the comb-shaped Engagement part 78 with the holder 76 mounted linearly displaceably in the housing 52.
- the double-arm lever 92 which is pivotably mounted on the housing 52 and, indicated by dashed lines, the counter-frame element 50 which is fixed to the frame.
- FIG. 4 shows the “CLOSED” closed locking position of handle 44 and drive rod 74.
- actuator 46 In this position, actuator 46 is in its disengaged position, in which it is removed from counter-actuator 50.
- the actuator 46 assumes this position because the double arm lever 92 rests on the continuous outer side 110 of the section 72 and is therefore pivoted back counterclockwise into the position according to FIG. 8.
- the handle 44 is turned counterclockwise in FIG. Swiveled arrow direction C), this leads to a movement of the drive rod 74 downward (arrow D), since the drive rod section shown is located below the gear, not shown, carrying the handle 44.
- FIG. 5 shows the handle 44 after a rotation in the specified sense by 90 ° into the ready-to-turn position designated “ROTATION”, in which the sash frame 12 can be turned around the axis 16.
- the actuator 46 is still in its disengaged position according to FIG. 8, since the elongated hole 108 is still above the corresponding arm 106 of the double arm lever 92.
- the engaging part 78 can therefore be easily pivoted past the counter-actuator 50 when the window is opened.
- the handle 44 If the handle 44 is now rotated further by approximately 45 ° in the same direction, it arrives in the gap opening fixing position designated by “SPALT-KlPP” in FIG. 6, in which the movable actuator 46 moves upward (arrow E) into the engagement position it is because the arm 106 of the double arm lever 92 can pivot into the elongated hole 108 (pivot direction F). 2 and 3, the teeth 82 of the engagement comb 81 are at the same height as the lower edge 405 of the leg 404 of the counter-actuator 50.
- the movable actuator 46 is again at a sufficient distance from the counter-actuator 50 so that the window can be completely tilted open.
- the actuator 46 can move into the engagement position according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
- This position is preferably not the possible uppermost end position of the actuator 46 when the counter-actuator 50 is removed, so that the actuator 46 is pressed against the counter-actuator 50 under spring pretension even when the actuator and the counter-actuator mutually engage. This is also after long use, e.g. when the casement 12 is lowered, mutual engagement is secure; furthermore, the actuator and counter-actuator do not have to be adjusted too precisely during assembly.
- the actuator 46 is resilient in the manner described and the teeth 82 are chamfered, a slight displacement of the actuator 46 downward is sufficient, whereupon the wing can be tilted into the desired gap opening position.
- the handle 44 is again to be pivoted clockwise into the 45 ° position according to FIG. 6.
