Claims (7)

1. Methode zur Oberflächenmarkierung einer Walzwerkwalze, wobei man auf besagte Walzenoberfläche eine mindestens teilweise aus einer metallischen Substanz bestehende Beschichtung aufbringt und besagte Oberfläche mit einem intermittierenden Laserstrahlenbündel behandelt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die besagte Beschichtung und die darunterliegende Walzenoberfläche in der Auftreffzone des Laserstrahlenbündels lokal aufschmilzt, daß man in dieser Zone ein Tröpfchen einer aus der Beschichtung und dem darunterliegenden Metall besagter Walze bestehenden, schmelzflüssigen Legierung bildet, daß man die schmelzflüssige Legierung zum Umfang der besagten Auftreffzone hin zurückdrängt, daß man so einen von einem Legierungswulst umgebenen Mikrokrater bildet und daß man besagten Wulst rasch verfestigt.
2. Methode zur Markierung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man besagte Schritte in mehreren, gemäß einem vorbestimmten Muster auf der Oberfläche besagter Walze verteilten Auftreffzonen wiederholt.
3. Methode zur Markierung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man eine aus Nickel, Chrom, Kobalt oder einer Legierung mindestens zweier dieser Metalle zusammengesetzte metallische Substanz abscheidet.
4. Methode zur Markierung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man eine mindestens ein Metalloxid enthaltende Beschichtung auf die Oberfläche besagter Walze aufbringt.
5. Methode zur Markierung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Oxid eines Metalls verwendet, das ebenfalls in der Beschichtung vorhanden ist.
6. Methode zur Markierung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß besagte Beschichtung mindestens eine härtende Komponente, wie ein Karbid und/oder ein Nitrid und/oder mindestens eine mit mindestens einem Bestandteil des Materials besagter Walze zur Bildung besagter härtenden Komponente reaktionsfähige Komponente, enthält.
7. Methode zur Markierung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß besagte Beschichtung mehrere nacheinander abgeschiedene Schichten enthält.
