Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for automatically connecting threads, consisting of a frame with a plurality of thread clamps and a stepwise horizontally movable carriage on which a thread connecting device is provided, a method for connecting threads and a use of the device.
  • bobbin changer a device which allows threads to be taken from 50 to 100 bobbins. It is used to manufacture a test knitted tube, which is composed of short sections according to the number of bobbins presented (W. Stein, Textile Horizons, (1988) pages 40-42). The sample stocking is used for a visual assessment or as a template for a colorimetric evaluation of the sections after it has been colored.
  • a program-controlled device for connecting filament yarns is known from DE-A-33 36 202. Then a first stationary thread is connected to a second running thread by air swirling and is only separated from the running thread when both threads have the same speed. The ends of the threads of the supply spools are held in clamping points which are designed as bolts and are pressed mechanically by spring pressure against a support surface. The uniform mechanical loading of many clamping points can only be accomplished with great effort.
  • the object of the invention is to provide both an improved device and a method for the automatic, safe change of a large number of threads of different bobbins and their step-wise connection.
  • each thread clamp is assigned a thread guide tube at a certain distance perpendicular to the thread pull, said thread guide tube being connected to a vertically movable suction bar.

  • the thread is expediently held by suction until it is released with a thread separating device.
  • the thread guide tubes are fastened in a profile rail, equipped with a thread guide eyelet at the end of the thread inlet and preferably consist of ceramic tubes. This has the advantage that the thread is drawn in cleanly when it is sucked in.
  • the segment-by-segment arrangement of the suction blocks has the advantage that a certain number of threads is kept under a uniform tension and, overall, works with less energy can be.
  • Each suction block is equipped with an injector nozzle and a thread discharge hose.
  • the lifting plate has the advantage that after the suction bar has been docked onto the thread guide tubes, all thread clamps are relieved by the lifting plate, which enables general thread pulling.
  • a pneumatic cylinder arranged on a slide as the threading arm, which is connected to the suction bar and can take over the free end of the thread between the entrance of the thread guide tube and the thread clamp.
  • the pneumatic cylinder loads the thread clamp before a position shift and only releases it when the threading arm is in the suction position in order to load the next clamp after the position shift.
  • Pneumatic pick-up and transport of the thread has proven to be more advantageous and safer than a mechanical gripper arm.
  • a thread is expediently threaded into the threading arm by means of an injector mounted at the outlet by suction.
  • Both a thread separating device and a thread marker are provided on the carriage itself. After the thread connection has been completed, the thread cutting device cuts off the "old" thread behind the connection point.
