- the new skate comprises a frame in two parts and with three wheels mounted on the frame, the two parts of the frame being articulated with each other around an axis; the central wheel is barrel-shaped in profile, and extends further widthwise than the end wheels, preferably little less than the sole of the foot.
- the new skate affords stable support on three wheels even when slight irregularities in the ground have to be overcome, thanks to the fact that the two half-frames can oscillate with respect to each other; it has a good stability on bends thanks to the convex shape of the central wheel; it always allows support at three points; it can be folded to occupy a small space, for transport and storage. It allows a natural articulation of the foot like that when walking, activating the blood circulation.
- the skate 10 comprises a frame 12 made of two half-frames 14 - front half-frame - and 16 - rear half-frame. On these are mounted three wheels, consisting of one middle wheel 18 (hereinunder called "central wheel” even if its position is not necessarily central in the skate or between the other wheels) and front 20 and rear 22 end wheels.

- the central wheel 18 is shaped with a convex profile having a larger diameter centrally and tapering towards the extremities.

- the wheel is preferably coated with a rubber-type material, for example polyurethane, and turns on ball bearings.

- the skate can be completed with a per se known rear brake (not shown).
- a device for fastening the skate to the foot can be of any kind. It preferably comprises removable side plates 40, 40 and removable rear fastenings 50, 50 for straps. Each plate is curved in shape when seen in profile, to adapt better to the foot and to the shoe, is applied by means of pins 51, 51 with a widened head in slots 52 1 , 52 2 , in the arms of the front half-frame, and can possibly be shimmed where appropriate (Fig. 6a) for adaptation to different footwear.
- the plates 40 are strapped together on the foot by means of laces, preferably elastic laces, passing through holes 53.
- Each fastening 50 fastens unlockably into a slot 54 1 in the rear half-frame and bears an elastic strap 56.
- the two straps 56 are passed over the shoe S, crossed over it and fastened to slots 54 2 with pins 57.
- the new skate 10 allows a limited oscillation of the two half-frames 14, 16 with respect to each other around the axis d so that it proves more stable in overcoming irregularities and small bumps in the ground in that it always allows the three wheels to rest on the ground. Likewise, it allows good support on bends in that the central wheel rests on lateral portions thereof.
- skate can be folded into the most compact position as shown in figure 1, by tipping the rear half-frame around the axis d until it lies parallel to the front half-frame. In the folded position the skates can be held in a bag.
