L'invention porte sur un procédé amélioré de préparation de sels ou d'esters de métal alcalin pharmaceutiquement acceptables d'acide clavulanique. L'invention porte aussi sur un clavulanate de potassium ayant une teneur en amine extrêmement faible et sur des compositions pharmaceutiques le contenant.
