Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Skibelag auf der Basis von Polyethylen und mindestens einem Zusatzstoff, welcher das Gleitverhalten des Skis auf dem Schnee verbessert. Dieser Zusatzstoff ist Bornitrid in einem Ausmaß von 0,25 - 5,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf den Skibelag. Dem Skibelag werden neben Bornitrid weitere Zusatzstoffe, wie fluorhältige Additive und/oder Ruß zugefügt.
Durch den Zusatzstoff Bornitrid wird das Trockengleitreiben des Skis auf Schnee erleichtert, wodurch der sogenannte Trockenschmiereffekt bewirkt wird. Durch die weiteren Zusatzstoffe, wie die fluorhältigen Additive, werden die wasserabweisenden Eigenschaften in günstiger Weise beeinflußt, so daß der sogenannte Flüssigschmiereffekt bewirkt wird. Die Zugabe von Ruß gewährleistet ein einfaches und leicht durchführbares Präparationsverfahren, wodurch eine saubere und faserfreie Oberfläche des Skibelages bereitgestellt wird.
