Abstract

In einer Maschine (10) zur Herstellung einer mehrlagigen Faserstoffbahn (12), insbesondere Papier- oder Kartonbahn, werden eine erste und eine zweite durch einen jeweiligen Former (14,16) gebildete Lage (18,20) miteinander vergautscht, indem sie durch ein jeweiliges Formier- oder Siebband (26,28) einem Vergautschungselement (24) zugeführt werden, um welches das die zweite Lage (20) zuführende zweite Formier- bzw. Siebband (28) geführt ist. Dieses zweite Formier- bzw. Siebband läuft auf das Vergautschungselements auf, bevor die von ihm getragene zweite Lage mit der ersten Lage in Kontakt kommt. Die zweite Lage ist zumindest im Bereich vor der Stelle, an der sie mit der ersten Lage in Kontakt kommt, insbesondere durch Saugkraft zum zweiten Formier- bzw. Siebband hin beaufschlagbar.
