Description

La présente invention concerne un procédé tel que décrit au préambule de la revendication 1 annexée. Elle est également relative au tabac ainsi obtenu et à l'utilisation de ce tabac.
La présente invention concerne un procédé, à base d'un végétal comestible, pour transformer le tabac, nocif aux fumeurs, en tabac sans nicotine. La nicotine est un des poisons les plus violents. Elle contient aussi plusieurs substances néfastes. Son antidote est le tanin qui forme un composé soluble.
On connaít déjà depuis longtemps un procédé d'élimination de nicotine à partir du tabac à l'aide de nombreux traitements à l'eau bouillante et lavages à l'eau entrecoupés de plusieurs traitements par une infusion de thé (v. US-A-2.582.075). Ce procédé, très complexe et très lent, qui s'étend sur plusieurs dizaines de jours est inapplicable industriellement.
La présente invention a pour but de porter remède aux inconvénients précités et donc de produire un tabac à taux de nicotine au moins partiellement réduit, tout en conservant au tabac traité tous ses avantages aromatiques.
On a résolu ce problème par le procédé présentant les particularités de la revendication 1 annexée.
D'autres formes de réalisation du procédé sont indiquées dans les revendications dépendantes de la revendication 1.
On emploie comme contre-poison une infusion concentrée de thé de Chine qui agit par l'acide tannique que cette substance contient. Selon le souhait, on peut obtenir 25 %, 50 % et même 100 % de réduction du taux de nicotine tout en conservant au tabac ainsi traité par le présent procédé tous ses avantages aromatiques.
Le tabac sans nicotine ainsi obtenu est sans danger et il peut convenir pour les cigarettes, les cigarillos, la pipe et les scaferlatis. On peut lui ajouter des pigments insolubles dans l'eau tels que l'ocre jaune et le noir d'ivoire, etc.
Le présent procédé est simple, rapide et efficace.
Suivant l'invention, ce procédé consiste à traiter le tabac en le trempant dans un bain de cette infusion pour le rendre non nocif. Le bain de l'infusion est un antidote à la nicotine. Le degré de nicotine sera pour aussi dire nul si on laisse le tabac 60 secondes dans le bain de l'infusion et si on le presse, après l'infusion, à fond.
Le jus de tabac, noir et épais, peut être commercialisé comme parasiticide car il contient une forte proportion de nicotine. La présente invention permettrait d'éradiquer les cancers des poumons des fumeurs présents et à venir.
L'antidote suivant l'invention est un produit végétal et comestible.
Le degré de purification dépend de la dose de thé, de la durée du bain et de la température du bain, mais aussi de la pression exercée sur le tabac après traitement.
Si le tabac est traité une minute, et qu'il a été pressé à fond, il contiendra moins de nicotine que s'il a trempé 30 secondes et a été pressé à moitié.
Le traitement du tabac en feuille n'est pas exclu, mais il faut un peu de pratique et de matériel. Le tabac coupé demande moins de main-d'oeuvre. Deux hommes suffisent pour manipuler le tabac après sa torréfaction, pour appliquer le traitement, sécher ensuite ce tabac traité dans une pièce chauffée durant au maximum 24 heures, et empaqueter celui-ci juste après.
Le tabac ainsi traité est un rien plus doux et il garde tout son goût et sa couleur.
Bien qu'entre le tabac en feuille et le tabac coupé, il y ait une grande différence, avec un peu d'expérience on peut obtenir des résultats merveilleux car il ne perd pas ses qualités, et, surtout, il n'est plus nocif. Il reste à la fois dans son état "naturel" mais purifié. C'est la pratique qui fait tout. Le matériel, les matières et le temps sont les trois principaux éléments de la réussite.
Le procédé suivant l'invention a été longuement étudié et de nombreuses recherches et essais ont été effectués.
Exemple de traitement
Essais réalisés sur un tabac coupé "X".
Tabac original, non traité
Humidité 16,00 %
Nicotine sur tabac séché 2,32 %
Tabac traité avec le procédé suivant l'invention avec trempage pendant 30 secondes :
Humidité 13,00 %
Nicotine sur tabac séché 0,86 %
On peut arriver à 25 %, 50 % ou 100 % de réduction du taux de nicotine selon le désir.
Le traitement du tabac traité ci-dessus a suivi le protocole suivant:
On enferme le tabac dans une toile de coton et on met le tout dans une cuve. On verse l'infusion sur le tabac coupé et la durée du bain est de 30 à 60 secondes selon le degré de purification désiré. On retire alors la toile contenant le tabac pour le passer à la presse. On peut faire varier le degré de nicotine restant dans le tabac suivant les conditions de traitement, sa durée de bain, mais aussi l'importance du pressage.
Le tabac ainsi traité ne perd rien de sa valeur, il est au contraire amélioré.
Ce procédé s'applique à tous les types de tabac : blond, noir, pour cigarette, pour cigarillos, pour la pipe, comme sur le tabac coupé et pour scaferlatis.

Claims (10)

  1. Procédé pour réduire le taux de nicotine dans du tabac, comprenant
    un traitement du tabac par une infusion de thé,
    caractérisé en ce que ledit traitement comporte une extraction de la nicotine par trempage du tabac dans un bain formé de l'infusion de thé, et en ce que le procédé comprend en outre un pressage du tabac sorti du bain, avec séparation d'un jus de tabac concentré en nicotine et d'un tabac à taux de nicotine réduit.
  2. Procédé suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le thé contient du tanin et/ou acide tannique qui agit sur la nicotine du tabac pendant le bain dans l'infusion de thé.
  3. Procédé suivant l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce que le thé est du thé de Chine.
  4. Procédé suivant l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le tabac est en feuilles ou coupé.
  5. Procédé suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que la durée du bain est de 30 à 60 secondes.
  6. Procédé suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre un séchage du tabac issu du pressage, ainsi qu'éventuellement un empaquetage du tabac séché.
  7. Procédé suivant la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que le séchage dure au maximum 24 heures.
  8. Procédé suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre une addition de pigments insolubles dans l'eau au tabac.
  9. Procédé suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre une récolte dudit jus de tabac concentré en nicotine, et une utilisation de ce jus comme parasiticide.
  10. Procédé de fabrication de cigarettes, de cigarillos, de tabac pour pipe et de scaferlatis, comprenant la préparation de tabac obtenu selon le procédé suivant l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
