Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine with stitch-forming sewing elements comprising at least one needle bar and attached needles and at least one gripper shaft to which gripper hooks are attached, wherein the needles and the gripper hooks each form a pair of sewing elements and are driven so that they each with one Needle thread and a looper thread chain stitches, in particular double chain stitches, perform in a arranged on a fabric support fabric, preferably in multi-layered design.
- the invention further relates to a method for forming a sewing pattern in a fabric, in particular in multi-layered design, in which by means of a plurality of sewing organs, namely at least one needle and a gripper, at least one sewing thread and at least one looper thread connected as a chain stitch, in particular as a double chain stitch become.
- multi-needle sewing machines are known from the prior art.
- so-called multi-needle lock stitching machines are to be distinguished from multi-needle chain stitch sewing machines.
- US 5,005,499 discloses a multi-needle lockstitch machine with one or more needle bars, on each of which a plurality of stitch forming needles is arranged.
- this prior art multi-needle stitch sewing machine individual needles depending on the sewing pattern to be reciprocated by pneumatic cylinders between two positions, these needles participate in a first position on the sewing process and are raised in a second position such that they are not in during the sewing process prick the sewing material.
- a needle When chain stitching or double chain stitch, a needle brings a thread to the lowest point of their movement path and forms in their subsequent upward movement of a loop of thread. While the needle moves back to its highest position after formation of the thread loop, a gripper engages with a looper thread in the thread loop. When transporting the material to the next stitch in sewing direction and the next downward movement of the needle, the gripper is pivoted back to its original position, while the needles in a through the loop of thread and pierces the looper thread tensioned thread triangle and thus forms a chain link of the chain stitch.
- the chainstitch or double-chainstitch has the advantage that it forms smooth seams and avoids the so-called displacement curl largely because the entanglement of needle and looper thread is not drawn into the fabric as in the lockstitch, but lies on the underside of the fabric .
- thinner sewing threads can be used in comparison to the lockstitch.
- the chain stitch or the double-chain stitch has the advantage that the needle thread is subject to a far lower abrasion compared to the lockstitch, which is due to the fact that per stitch formation in a double chain stitch less thread is pulled back and forth through the eye of the needle.
- the chain stitch or double chain stitch therefore has the greater strength compared to the lockstitch.
- the disadvantage of the chain stitch or double-chain stitch is that even minor missed stitches or a thread break in the area of the needle and / or looper thread causes the thread chain can be easily opened.
- a needle bar carrying the needles is in a raised and a gripper shaft carrying the gripper in a swung back position.
- the looper thread, which is withdrawn from a spool, is guided in this procedure along the underside of the workpiece, without being connected to the material in this area.
- the needle thread is cut after completion of a sewing pattern element by a cutting device and that at the beginning of the next sewing pattern element a completely new sewing process is initiated.
- EP 0 727 519 A1 discloses a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine which forms a multiplicity of needles arranged on a needle bar in three rows of needles with a plurality of hook hooks arranged underneath a cloth support pair of needle element pairs which jointly execute double chain stitches in a sewing material.
- this prior art Doppelkettenstichnähmaschine a cutting device in the region of the hook hook and thus below the Nähgutauflage, are cut with the all needle threads after completion of a NähGermanettis in the fabric.
- This cutting device consists of three tensioned and heated wires, each wire is associated with a gripper shaft arranged thereon with hook hooks and thus also each a needle bar and arranged thereon needles.
- the cutting device namely the three heated wires are stretched between two oppositely arranged and centrally driven support elements so that they can be brought into contact with the needle threads as needed, namely after completion of a sewing pattern element, so that all needle threads are cut together at the same moment.
- EP 0 394 601 A1 discloses a device for locking and releasing one or more embroidery needles in a quilting machine or a Mehmadel embroidery machine.
- a quilting machine or multi-needle embroidery machine has a pair of needle carrier bars, wherein on at least one of the needle carrier bars at least one needle is arranged, which is controllable with regard to their participation in the embroidery or stitching process.
- a linear motor is provided in the form of a pneumatic piston, the cylinder is attached to the needle carrier rod and with the piston rod, the embroidery or quilting needle between two positions back and forth, with the embroidery needle or quilting needle in one position, namely lowered Position participates in the sewing process, while this embroidery or needle in a raised position does not participate in the stitching or embroidery process.
- US-A-5 509 365 discloses a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine having two needle bars each divided into three sections, the sections each having a plurality of needles and both needle bars being co-driven in the same direction or in opposite directions.
- the needle bars are alternately raised and lowered, so that in each case a needle bar in a first Nähgutab bain a chain stitch per needle stitches, while the second needle bar is arranged at the same time in a raised position. Subsequently, the first needle bar moves to the raised position, while the second needle bar is lowered to sew a chain stitch with each needle.
- the movement of the two needle bars is synchronized and synchronized with corresponding gripper bars below a Nähgutauflage, so that with each lowering of a needle bar a chain stitch per needle is sewn.
- the invention has the object , a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine or a method for forming a sewing pattern in a fabric in such a way that additional and / or complementary pattern can be sewn into the fabric in a simple manner.
- a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine according to the invention should be designed to be adaptable to predetermined sewing tasks in a simple manner.
- the solution to this problem provides in a generic Learnnadelkettenstichnähmaschine that at least one, preferably a plurality of needle (s) is adjustable between two positions or are, wherein the Needle (s) participates or participate in the sewing process in a first position and in a second position during the sewing process does not pierce or pierce the fabric and that at least the or between the two positions adjustable needle (s) a device for Knotting the needle thread is associated with the looper thread and / or a cutting device for the needle and / or looper thread.
- the arrangement of height-adjustable needles is provided on a Dahlnadelkettenstichnähmaschine. It should be noted that it is possible in lockstitch machines to raise the needles during the sewing process, which is not possible in the formation of chain stitches, as this would produce false stitches that allow the opening of the thread chain. In addition to the ability to adjust the individual needles between two positions, it is in a multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine in securing a chain stitch required that at least in the region of adjustable needles each have a device for knotting the needle thread is provided with the looper thread to the automatic opening to prevent the thread chain in this area.
- a cutting device for the needle and / or hook thread can be provided for this device, which makes it possible to cut off at least the needle thread with a corresponding length before or after execution of the knot, without the risk of self-opening of the thread chain or the chainstitch is made.
- the invention provides a combination of a Dahlnadelkettenstichnähmaschine with height-adjustable needles, a device for knotting the needle thread and / or a cutting device for the needle and / or looper thread, with the unpredictable and advantageous manner, the above object can be achieved ,
- the adjustable between two positions in height needles are arranged in the edge region and / or in the middle area of the needle bar. It has been shown that in particular in these areas additional training of Nähmustern or
- Sewing pattern elements are beneficial.
- an additional sewing work in the edge region of the sewing material is made possible, which is particularly advantageous in the case of multi-layered sewing material in that an improved connection of the juxtaposed fabric layers is achieved here.
- the adjustable between two positions needles are arranged alternately with non-adjustable needles on the needle bar.
- all the needles of one or all needle bars are adjustable between two positions.
- the adjustable between two positions needles are adjustable via a drive.
- This drive of the needles which can be adjusted between two positions, preferably has a pump for a hydraulic or a pneumatic pressure medium and at least one linear motor. But it can also be provided that each needle has its own linear motor as a drive and that individual needles are adjusted via a hydraulic and / or pneumatic control.
- the drive is designed as an electromechanical drive, in particular consisting of a rack and an electric motor driven, meshing with the rack pinion.
- the cutting device is designed as a knife blade.
- the cutting device it has proven to be advantageous to arrange the cutting device on the hook hook or on a spreader associated with the Nähorgancru. If the cutting device is provided on the hook hook, the cutting device on the hook hook can be brought into contact with the corresponding thread via an additional pivoting movement of the hook shaft in order to cut off the thread in sufficient length from the last connection point between hook thread and needle thread.
- the work piece support has a work piece transport device which serves to transport the work piece in at least two opposite directions.
- the fabric transport device With the fabric transport device, the fabric is advanced on the Nähgutauflage before activation of the adjustable needles in sewing direction, whereby additional thread is withdrawn from a thread supply to pull the needle thread to a length before cutting, which excludes an automatic opening of the thread chain.
- the needle thread is knotted with the looper thread before or after the transfer of the needle in the second raised position.
- the knotting is done in the simplest case, that in the last stitch needle and looper thread is tightened and thus retracted into the fabric, for example, that the fabric is transported, while a needle thread loop is still wrapped around the gripper.
- the needle thread is cut after the completion of a seam and the last stitch and is at the beginning of a further sewing pattern element in a second position.
- the needle thread has previously been knotted with the looper thread, the needle thread can be cut off relatively short become. If, on the other hand, a knotting of the needle thread with the hook thread has been dispensed with or this knotting has been carried out inadequately, then the needle thread is cut off with a relatively long thread end.
- the material to be sewn preferably before the beginning of the next sewing pattern element, is moved in the sewing direction in order to extend the needle thread lengthwise from a thread supply before the needle thread is knotted with the looper thread and / or cut off.
- a sufficient length of the needle thread is provided, which is sufficient both for knotting with the needle thread and for the cutting process, without the risk that the thread chain opens automatically and that the needle thread for the next sewing a sewing pattern element sufficient Length.
- a plurality of needles arranged on at least one needle bar are simultaneously transferred from the first to the second position. It can also be provided that all needles are transferred simultaneously from the first to the second position or vice versa.
- a further feature of the method according to the invention provides that the needle (s) is / are moved hydraulically, pneumatically or electromechanically.
- the needle or needles is / are controlled via a programmable controller.
- the programmable controller preferably runs in analogy to one or more sewing patterns. Accordingly, it is provided that, for example, in a computer, a sewing pattern or a plurality of sewing patterns, which preferably have a multiplicity of sewing pattern elements, are stored. The data of these sewing patterns are transmitted via the programmable controller to a known transport device for the sewing material and to the needles, so that a fully automatic It is possible to control the multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine without having to rebuild the machine during the sewing process.

While the needle 31 is moved back from its lowest position to its highest position, the gripper moves in the direction of the thread grinder and carries a looper thread in the thread loop of the needle thread.
- the fabric 28 is transported in the direction of the arrow 29 before the needle 31 is again moved from its highest position to its lowest position.
- the gripper pivots back to its original position, wherein the thread loop of the needle thread and the looper thread forms a thread triangle into which the needle 31 pierces.
- a double-chain stitch consisting of a needle thread which rests on the upper side of the sewing material and penetrates the sewing material and forms a looper thread resting on the underside of the sewing material.
- the individual needles 31 of a row of needles 2 are interchangeably attached to a needle bar 34, so that the needle bar 34 can be equipped with needles 31 corresponding to the desired sewing pattern 32.
- Each adjustable between two positions needle 31 has its own drive 39, which consists of a linear motor 40, which linear motor 40 has a pneumatically driven and spring-loaded piston 41, at the free end of the needle 31 is inserted into an axially aligned bore.
- the piston 41 has a not shown, between the aligned on the needle 31 lower end of the drive 39 and a piston disc spring arranged, which holds the piston in its initial position in a position in which the needle 31 does not participate in the sewing process. If the piston 41 over a power line 42 pressurized with compressed air, it moves against the spring force of the spring not shown in the direction of the sewing material 28 so that it holds the needles in their first position in this position in which they participate in the sewing process. If the compressed air supply to the piston 41 is interrupted, the spring, not shown, pushes the piston 41 back into the starting position described above.
- the linear motors 40 are screwed to the needle bar 34 via L-shaped angle plates 43.

- the gripper shaft 33 carries out a supplementary movement, which is introduced via an eccentric drive. During this movement, the cutting blade 45 is brought into contact with the needle thread, so that the needle thread is cut over it. It can also be provided that the cutting of the needle thread takes place via an additional transport movement of the sewing material 28, so that the tensioned needle thread is drawn into the region of the cutting blade 45 and cut there.
- a method for forming complicated sewing patterns in a cloth can be easily performed.
- additional seams can be introduced via the adjustable needles 31 during the sewing process, without the need for retrofitting the multi-needle chain stitch sewing machine to require additional needles 31 on the sewing bar 34 must be attached.
- After completion of a double chain stitch can be cut by means of the cutting blade 45 in the region of adjustable between two positions needles 31 of the needle thread in a length that an automatic opening of the thread chain is avoided.
- a knotting device may be provided which knots the needle thread with the hook thread against automatic opening during the last pass.
- the fabric is moved in a first step after the last stitch formation of a sewing pattern element in the direction of arrow 29 to subtract additional needle thread length of a coil, not shown. Subsequently, the needle thread is cut by means of the cutting blade 45 in the required length.
- the needles 31 are movable, ie can be raised, between a lower position facing the material to be sewn and an upper position remote from the material to be sewn.
- the invention is not limited to such an embodiment. Rather, other embodiments are possible, with which at least one, preferably a plurality of needles between two positions is adjustable or are, the needles in a first position participates in the sewing or take and in a second position during the sewing process not in the Cut in or sew in sewing material.
