Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for imaging an image on a staircase-like surface with at least two partial surfaces which run transversely to a visual axis and are offset relative to one another along the visual axis, and to a staircase on which an image is depicted.
  • Such a method and such a staircase are known, for example, from department stores and sports stadiums.
  • a picture is put up on each seating surface, which in a department store can be a lettering with the name of the department store or a reference such as “To the children's department” and in a sports stadium the specification of the row of seats in a grandstand the partial surfaces of the set surfaces of the stairs and the line of sight runs essentially horizontally through the eyes of a person standing in front of the stairs leading upwards.
  • a disadvantage of these known methods and stairs is that the maximum size of the image is defined by the size and shape of a single seating area, so that the height of the image is limited to the step height of the stairs, which is usually approximately 18 cm.
  • this object is achieved by the steps that: an eye point is selected which lies on the visual axis in front of the partial surfaces; the image is divided into partial images that are assigned to the partial areas by projecting it onto the partial areas starting from the eye point; and each drawing image is mapped onto its assigned area.
  • this object is achieved by the steps that: an eye point is selected which lies on the visual axis in front of the partial surfaces; the image is subdivided into partial images which are assigned to the partial areas in such a way that the first partial image which is assigned to the first partial area closest to the eye point is changed according to a predetermined scale, and that each further partial image is relative to the first Partial image is enlarged in accordance with the distance of its partial area assigned to it from the eye point; and each drawing image is mapped onto its assigned area.

  • the result is that the set surfaces are offset relative to one another along the line of sight and are therefore at different distances from the eye point.

Since the hidden areas 20 cannot be seen from the eye point AP, it is provided in accordance with the supplemented method that they are not used for imaging the partial images 10.3, 10.4 assigned to the respective rear partial surface 11.4, 11.5.
  • FIG. 5 also clearly shows that the concealed areas 20 of the rear setting surfaces 11.4 and 11.5 are each delimited at their upper edge by visual rays which intersect the upper edge of the respectively next front setting surface 11.3 and 11.4.
