Definitions

  • the present invention generally relates to pallets of escape mechanism anchor for movement of horlvgerie. More particularly. anchor pallets having a channel serving as a lubricant reservoir for providing improved lubrication between the pallet and the teeth of the escape wheel.
  • Lubricating the escapements of watch movements with ruby paddles is a delicate process.
  • the method of disposing a drop of lubricant on the teeth of the escape wheel does not ensure lubrication over a long period of time since the lubricant is quickly driven to the rest plane of the pallet on which it accumulates, so that it is no longer available for the desired lubrication.
  • the patent CH 916 857 proposes to solve this problem by piercing right through the pallets anchor by a capillary channel which extends between the rest plane and the vanishing plane of the pallet, this channel serving as a reservoir for the lubricant.
  • a disadvantage of this arrangement is that access to the channel is poor, so that the filling is difficult.
  • the patent CH 685 463 attempts to remedy these drawbacks by proposing to provide on at least one of the side faces of the pallet a groove open on the outside which connects the rest plane to the rear face of the pallet.
  • the impact on the pallet at the moment of the impulse may cause said lubricant out of the groove to the extent that The capillarity effect in an open groove is less than that in a closed channel.
  • the patent CH 690 013 proposes to overcome the above drawbacks by providing an open capillary slot on the rest, pulse and leakage planes and in which the lubricant is received. Such an embodiment is unfavorable for the operation of the exhaust since the tooth of the escape wheel moves along two faces during the pulse, which can cause additional wear.
  • the present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks as well as others by providing an anchor pallet for a watch movement to ensure improved and prolonged lubrication of the exhaust.
  • the invention relates to an anchor pallet intended to cooperate with the teeth of an escape wheel of a watch movement.
  • said pallet comprising a leakage plane and a pulse plane and at least one capillary channel serving as a reservoir for a lubricant, said capillary channel connecting said leakage plane to said impulse plane, characterized in that said capillary channel is a channel closed.
  • This configuration of the capillary channel which extends directly from the plane of leakage to the impulse plane makes it possible to significantly reduce the length of the capillary channel with respect to that of the channels of the prior art, without affecting the quality of the lubrication. at the contact between the pallet and the teeth of the escape wheel.
  • the pallet according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a reduction in the length of this channel of the order of 30%. Since the length of the capillary channel is shortened compared with that of the prior art channels, the problem of creating bubbles in the channel is less critical and the cleaning of the channel is facilitated. It will be noted that, thanks to the arrangement of the invention, it has been surprisingly successful to bring a sufficient quantity of the lubricant onto the rest plane without the channel in question being connected to this plane.
  • this closed-channel configuration makes it possible to considerably reduce the local contact pressure between the teeth of the wheel. exhaust and the pallets in operation, which significantly reduces the wear of the teeth of the escape wheel.
  • the channel opens into the first third of the pulse plane starting from the output edge of the pulse plane.
  • the section of the channel has a variable profile over its entire length and preferably the channel is frustoconical and converges in the direction of the pulse plane.
  • the taper of the capillary channel advantageously makes it possible to give a direction to the displacement of the lubricant in the channel, the lubricant being attracted by capillarity towards the pulse plane during the passage of the tooth on this pulse plane.
  • the dimension of the channel where it opens on the pulse plane is less than the thickness of the teeth of the escape wheel. In this way, it prevents the teeth of the escape wheel from entering the portion of the capillary channel which opens on the pulse plane and thereby avoids premature wear. It goes without saying that the exhaust will be adjusted so that the teeth of the escape wheel during their rotation pass next to the channel and preferably centrally relative to the channel. Note also in this regard that the pallet according to the invention allows the use of exhaust wheels whose teeth do not include the bevel usually made to concentrate the lubricant on the friction surface, in this case on the plane of 'impulse.
  • the pallet 2 is a generally ruby piece, all the faces of which are polished and which is chased and stuck in a housing 4 formed in the arm 1a of the anchor 1.
  • the pallet 2 comprises a pulse plane 2a, a rest plane 2b and a leakage plane 2c, the pulse plane 2a and the leakage plane 2c intersecting each other an output edge or spout 2d.
  • the pulse plane 2a and the rest plane 2b respectively cooperate with the teeth 6 of the escape wheel and more particularly with the rest plane 6a and the beak 6b of the teeth 6.
  • the escape wheel 6 rotates in a conventional manner step by step in the direction of the arrow F.
  • the particularly important lubrication points are therefore the pulse plane 2a and the rest plane 2b so that a presence of lubricant between the teeth of the wheel of exhaust and these plans is necessary during the different phases of operation of the exhaust.
  • the pallet 2 comprises a channel 8 whose dimensions allow it to behave as a capillary with respect to the lubricant 10 while also serving as a reservoir for this lubricant. It will be noted in this connection that the channel can advantageously be made using a laser beam parameterized appropriately.
  • the capillary channel 8 connects said leakage plane 2c to said pulse plane 2a and thus establishes a communication between these two planes.
  • the channel 8 comprises a lubricant inlet 8a disposed in the leakage plane 2c and a lubricant outlet 8b opening into the pulse plane 2a.
  • the inlet port 8a is located in the vicinity of the pulse nozzle 2d while the outlet orifice 8b is located in the first third of the pulse plane 2a from the pulse nozzle 2d.
  • the channel 8 opens substantially in the first third of the pulse plane 2a. Typically, this configuration can reduce the channel length by about 30% and reach about 0.12 mm.
  • the channel 8 extends in the plane of symmetry of the pallet 2.
  • the section of the channel 8 has a variable profile over its entire length and gradually decreases from the inlet orifice 8a to the outlet port 8b.
  • the channel 8 thus has in the example illustrated a convergent frustoconical shape in the direction of the pulse plane 2a.
  • the taper of the channel is typically between 3 ° and 10 ° and is preferably of the order of 6 °.
  • the section of the channel 8 can also be constant. In the case of a pallet comprising a channel 8, the latter typically has a mean diameter of the order of 3 / 100mm.
  • the lubricant 10 which is deposited on the leakage plane 2c of the pallet 2 in the form of a drop is introduced by capillarity into the channel 8 and filled the latter to the outlet orifice 8b at which it forms. a drop 12 which protrudes slightly from the pulse plane 2a.
  • the quantity of lubricant deposited on the leakage plane 2c is greater than the volume of the channel so that once the channel 8 has filled a drop 14 is also formed on the leakage plane 2c around the inlet orifice 8a of the channel 8.
  • the pallet 2 and a tooth 6 of the escape wheel are shown during the rest phase, that is to say when the rest plane 6a of the tooth 6 bears on the rest plane 2b of the pallet so that the escape wheel is stopped. It can be seen that a lubricant film 16 is interposed between the rest plane 6a of the tooth 6 and the rest plane 2b of the pallet 2.
  • the beak 6b of the tooth 6 which carries a small amount of lubricant on its resting plane 6a and in the region of its mouthpiece 6b, leaves the resting plane 2b of the pallet 2 leaving a small amount of lubricant Q1 on the rest plane 2b of the pallet 2.
  • the rest nozzle 6b of the tooth 6 then sweeps the surface of the pulse plane 2a passing over the drop 12. Before the spout 6b passes over the 12, the lubricant disposed around it is then sufficient to ensure the lubrication of the friction surfaces of the tooth and the pallet. During the passage of the mouthpiece of the tooth on the drop, it causes a small amount of lubricant from the channel 8.
  • the channel 8 is filled again from the drop 14 disposed on the inlet port .
  • the lubricant Q2 taken by the tooth is distributed around the spout 6b as shown in FIG. figure 4 which represents the position of the tooth 6 relative to the pallet 2 just before the end of the pulse, the pulse nozzle 2d sliding on the pulse plane 6c of the tooth 6.
  • the escape wheel 6 is then ready to come to cooperate, by the rest plane 6a of the next tooth 6, with the rest plane 2b of the pallet 2, the lubricant quantities Q1 and Q2 forming again the lubricant film 16 when the rest plane of the tooth 6 rests again on the rest plane of the pallet 2.
  • the thickness of the teeth will be greater than the diameter of the outlet orifice. 8b of the canal. Typically this thickness will be twice the diameter of the outlet orifice.
