Definitions
- the present invention relates to a roof edge trim device or the like.
- This invention relates to the field of the manufacture of devices designed to provide coverage of a building, particularly that of the manufacture of devices designed to ensure the cladding of a bank of a roof covering such a building.
- roof edge trim devices which comprise at least one edge element consisting, for example, by a flap edge, a flap or the like.
- Such a rim element comprises laterally interlocking means designed to cooperate with complementary interlocking means that comprises at least one adjacent tile.
- edge elements whose dimensions and interlocking means correspond to those of the tiles with which these edge elements must cooperate, which, given the number of models different tiles, amounts to making a large number of different models of shoreline elements.
- a roof comprises, usually, two banks, one of which is bordered by the lateral sides of a plurality of tiles or accessories having complementary interlocking means different from the complementary interlocking means that the opposite lateral sides present. tiles bordering the other shore.
- edge elements in particular so-called edge elements.
- “Left” and so-called “straight” edge elements) each having different interlocking means and designed to cooperate with the different complementary interlocking means that include the tiles or accessories.
- these comprise, again, a system for fixing a rim element on the frame.
- a fastening system may be formed by hook which has the disadvantage of being particularly difficult to implement.
- Such a fastening system may, again, be constituted by at least one nail (or, more frequently, by a plurality of nails, in particular 2 to 4 nails per edge element) requiring the use of a hammer, or even imposing the setting up a scaffolding with all the disadvantages that this entails, especially in terms of installation time, erection time and dismantling scaffolding, and having the effect of considerably increase the cost.
- a nail remains visible which affects the aesthetics of the building.
- the tiles of a roof are located on the frame so that the nose of such a tile covers the heel of a tile located downstream conferring on the roof a stair configuration.
- the fact that these tiles overlap and that the edge elements are interlocked with these tiles leads to these overlapping edge elements also conferring, necessarily, a shore a stepped configuration which is not always desirable.
- the present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of the dressing devices of the state of the art.
- the invention relates to a roof edge trim device or the like according to claim 1.
- the invention also relates to a roof edge trimmer edge member, said edge member being in accordance with claim 10.
- the plate of this edge element comprises, on the one hand, an inner face with respect to which the flap extends projecting and, on the other hand, an external face, or extending in a manner parallel to a plane in which the plate extends, or having an inclination relative to this plane.
- this edge element comprises interlocking means constituted, as the case may be, by a groove, by at least one tongue or, again, by at least one shouldered screw or the like.
- such a rim element comprises a part comprising, on the one hand, interlocking means intended to cooperate with complementary interlocking means that comprise the hooking section and, on the other hand, means for its fastening to this edge element or means for receiving such securing means.
- the cladding device according to the invention then comprises a fastening profile intended to be fixed on the roof edge and which may be constituted by a fastening profile, in particular in the form of a rail or the like, that it can advantageously be found in the trade or made in a way inexpensively.
- such a profile is positioned below a fastening means that includes the edge element and / or a tile or accessory coming to be positioned on a wing of this profile.
- This edge element and this tile or accessory can define a spacing through which the rainwater flows. This rain water flows, then, inside the profile which, by its shape, is a gutter promoting the flow of this water and improving the seal on the roof edge.
- a rim element comprises hooking means cooperating with the fastening section. Also, such a rim element is hung directly on a hanging profile and is no longer fitted with a tile as for devices of the state of the art. Such a rim element is, therefore, independent of such a tile and can then advantageously be dimensioned and / or be configured independently of such a tile, without being dependent on the characteristics of such a tile. In particular, such a rim element may have an independent pitch and different from that of the tiles which allows a disconnection between the edge elements and the tiles of a roof.
- such a rim element can then dress a bank of a roof regardless of the tiles that includes this roof, especially regardless of the model, shape, dimensions and / or color of these tiles (which can, in in particular, to be different from that of the edge elements, especially to enhance the roof).
- these rim elements are independent of the tiles and that they comprise interlocking means cooperating with complementary engagement means of an adjacent rim element advantageously make it possible to configure such a rim element so that the outer face of this rim element extends parallel to the plane in which the plate of this rim element extends and is thus located in the extension of the external face of an adjacent rim element, this without overlapping and without stair configuration as for the edge elements of the state of the art.
- the absence of overlap also allows a substantial gain in raw material, a reduction in the time and quantity of energy for the manufacture of a rim element, a less load transported and supported by the frame, this compared to edge elements of the state of the art.
- the possibility of a stair configuration remains possible by conferring on the outer face of the edge element an inclination with respect to the plane in which the edge element plate extends and / or positioning the edge elements in lateral overlap.
- Another advantage is that it is possible to set up a rim element on a fastening section simply by interlocking with the fastening section, or (and for most embodiments) without having to resort to a tool. This allows, advantageously, to facilitate and accelerate the establishment of a covering device on a roof.
- Yet another advantage is that the mounting of the cladding device of the invention on the frame no longer requires the establishment of a scaffolding which constitutes a substantial saving.
- the edge member comprises a plate and a flap that can be made of material, more particularly by flat pressing.
- a manufacturing method advantageously makes it possible to manufacture such a rim element by using presses allowing high production rates. This being the case, such a manufacturing method makes it possible to obtain a low cost price for such a rim element.
- this dressing device of the invention makes this device particularly versatile and able to dress indifferently any of the banks of a roof.
- this dressing device comprises universal edge elements that can be used to dress any of these banks.
- this versatility also makes it possible to use this cladding device (in particular the same edge element model) with different models of tiles.
- the fact of being able to use the same model of edge element for all the banks of a roof, for the same model of tile or accessory, or even for a plurality of tile models advantageously makes it possible to limit the number of models of edge elements to manufacture and, thus, to reduce the number of tools for their realization.
- this possibility advantageously makes it possible to singularly reduce the stock of edge elements and, thus, to achieve, again, a significant saving.
- the characteristics of the covering device of the invention advantageously make it possible to conceal the fixing members of this device on the frame, this for an improved aesthetics of the building which is equipped with it.
- the present invention relates to the field of manufacturing devices designed to provide coverage of a building.
- the invention relates, more particularly, to a device 1 designed to provide the cladding of a bank of a roof or the like covering such a building.
- Such a covering device 1 comprises a fastening element 2 designed to be fixed on said roof edge, more particularly by clipping, nailing, screwing or other.
- such a fastening element 2 may be constituted by a board or the like designed to be fixed on the roof edge (in particular on a chevron and / or on a batten that includes such roof edge), more particularly laterally to this roof edge and so as to extend vertically, parallel to the roof edge (in particular perpendicular to a batten or parallel to ratio to a chevron), and perpendicular to the plane of the roof.
- the covering device 1 may, again, comprise a means of sealing and / or draining the water (more particularly in the form of a closoir, a conformed tarred strip and / or preformed) interposed between the fastening element 2 and a rim element 3.
- such a fastening element 2 is constituted by a fastening section 2 comprising a base 20 through which the fastening profile 2 is secured to a fastener 2. roof edge.
- such a base 20 is intended to be fixed on said roof edge, more particularly on a chevron and / or on a batten that includes this roof edge.
- such a base 20 is, in fact, intended to be fixed over said roof edge, more particularly on the upper face of this roof edge, in particular on the upper face of a roof. chevron and / or a batten that includes this bank of roof.

- this base 20 is intended to extend parallel to the roof plane and to the roof edge.
- the fastening profile 2 also comprises at least one flange (21; 21 ') extending from said base 20 longitudinally with respect to this base 20, and forming an angle with this base 20.
- a wing (21; 21 ') forms a substantially straight angle, either with said base 20 when it is flat, or with the bottom (intended to be fixed on the shore roof) of such a base 20 when it adopts a trapezoidal section as described below.
- Such a wing (21; 21 ') is intended to extend vertically and perpendicularly to the plane of the roof.
- this attachment profile 2 comprises a single wing 21.
- this attachment section 2 comprises two wings (21; 21 ') extending , from said base 20, longitudinally with respect to this base 20, on either side of this base 20, and forming an angle (as mentioned above) with this base 20.
- These two wings (21; 21 ') are substantially parallel and give the fastening section 2 a substantially U-shaped section and a shape of rail, sheath, fur or the like.
- These two wings (21; 21 ') are intended to extend vertically and perpendicularly to the roof plane.
- These two wings (21; 21 ') may have an identical width then conferring the attachment profile 2 a symmetrical configuration.
- these two wings (21; 21 ') may, again, have a different width allowing an outward orientation of the roof, as required, the wing (21; 21') of larger or smaller width.
- This difference in width also makes it possible to position a tile on the wing of smaller width and a rim element 3 on the wing of greater width thus allowing such a rim element 3 to always be at less at the height of a tile, even when this edge element 3 is in front of two overlapping tiles.
- this difference in width makes it possible to equip the wing of greater width with complementary engagement means 8 positioned at a height (relative to the base 20) allowing a flow of water according to the profile of hooking 2 and not through these complementary interlocking means 8.
- a particular embodiment of the invention is that such a fastening section 2 further comprises at least one return 22 extending from at least one such wing 21 and so longitudinally relative to such a wing 21.
- the attachment profile 2 comprises two wings (21; 21 ')
- at least one of these wings comprises, then, such 22.
- the fastening section 2 has a generally "U" section and adopts a shape of rail, sheath, fur or the like
- the base 20 can adopt a flat shape or (and preferably) a trapezoidal section which facilitates the deformation of the fastening section 2 to ensure the connection between 2 profiles by interlocking, this without having to make an entry cone at one end of such a section 2.
- the covering device 1 further comprises edge elements (3; 3 '; 3 ") made of terracotta or the like and constituted, for example, by a flanged edge, a flap or other.
- Such edge elements (3, 3 ', 3 ") are positioned juxtaposed, this after implantation of the covering device 1 on the roof edge.
- Such a rim element 3 comprises, on the one hand, a plate 30, extending in a plane, and comprising, on the one hand, an outer face 36 oriented towards the outside of the building and, on the other hand, part, an inner face 37 oriented towards the frame.
- such a rim element 3 comprises a flap 31 extending from such a plate 30 forming an angle (including straight) with the plane of the plate 30.
- this flap 31 s' extends projecting with respect to the internal face 37 of the plate 30.
- the outer face 36 of this plate 30 is provided with at least one recess 38 extending longitudinally with respect to the plate 30, in particular on at least a part of the length of this plate. 30.
- such a recess 38 is situated at least opposite the flap 31, or even so as to penetrate inside the volume defined by this flap 31.
- this recess 38 advantageously makes it possible, on the one hand, to lighten the edge element 3 and, on the other hand, to make it easy for an operator to grip the edge element 3 and to handle it easily. this by engaging his fingers inside this recess 38. Moreover, by locating this recess 36 at least facing the flap 31, it avoids the formation, at the flap 31, of a turbulence zone at the origin of cracks and detrimental to the quality of manufacture of the rim element 3 and the cooling of such a rim element 3.
- Such a rim element (3; 3 '; 3 ") also has an upper edge 32, a lower edge 33, a lateral edge 34 and an opposite lateral edge 35.
