Thereby, the protruding engagement means 13 is moved away from the locking key 14 as the locking key 14 slides out of the locking recess 18. At this point, the lid 3 and the bottom 2 are not locked to each other and the suitcase 1 may be opened.
  • the protruding part 9 moves between two positions; the first position, where the handle 4 is in an upraised position and the suitcase 1 is locked, and a second position, where the handle 4 is laid down and the lock 7 is freely turnable. Further, the first surface 8 and the protruding part 9 of the handle 4 comprise abutting surfaces 21 sliding towards each other, see Fig. 8 . At least part of the first surface 8 (the second surface part 17) is partly cylindrically-shaped, and a rectilinear generatrix extends parallel with the first axle 12.
  • the second surface part 17 and the protruding part 9 are adapted to be disengaged by turning the handle 4 from the erect position back to a turned down position.
  • Fig. 8 shows the locking of the lid when the handle 4 is being turned to an upraised position.
  • the protruding part 9 of the handle 4 is pressed against the concave first surface 8 (the second surface part 17) and pivots the lock 7 counter-clockwise.
  • the protruding engagement means 13 moves towards the locking key 14 until the locking key 14 is caught by the locking recess 18, and the lock 7 is prevented from further pivoting movements.

Claims (13)

  1. Valise pour le transport d'un assortiment d'outils ou similaires, qui comprend un fond (2), un couvercle (3) correspondant, une poignée pivotante (4) placée au niveau d'un premier côté du fond (2), ledit couvercle (3) et le fond (2) étant raccordés entre eux par une ou plusieurs charnières (6), ladite valise (1) comprenant en outre un verrou (7) pour verrouiller le couvercle (3) par rapport au fond (2), ledit verrou (7) comprenant une première surface (8), au moins une partie de la première surface interagissant avec une partie en saillie (9) de la poignée (4), ladite partie en saillie (9) étant mobile entre une première position (10) dans laquelle le verrou (7) verrouille le couvercle (3) par rapport au fond (2) et une seconde position (11) dans laquelle le verrou (7) est adapté pour être libéré, caractérisée en ce que le verrou (7) est monté de manière rotative sur un premier axe (12) placé sur le couvercle (3) et comprenant en outre un moyen de mise en prise en saillie (13), ledit moyen de mise en prise en saillie (13) étant adapté pour se mettre en prise avec une clavette de verrouillage (14) qui fait partie du fond (2), ladite mise en prise ayant lieu lorsque la partie en saillie (9) est dans sa première position (10).
  2. Valise selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la première surface (8) est concave dans la direction de la partie en saillie (9).
  3. Valise selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que la partie en saillie (9) et la poignée (4) sont adaptées pour pivoter autour d'un second axe (15).
  4. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première surface (8) comprend une première partie de surface (16) et une seconde partie de surface (17), ladite seconde partie de surface (17) se mettant en prise avec la partie en saillie (9) pendant le déplacement de la partie en saillie (9) entre la première et la seconde position, par ladite mise en prise, le verrou (7) est adapté pour ne pas pivoter dans la première position (10).
  5. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première surface (8) comprend une première partie de surface (16) et une seconde partie de surface (17), ladite première partie de surface (16) et la partie en saillie (9) n'exerçant pas ou très peu de force entre elles, moyennant quoi le verrou (7) est librement mobile et adapté pour être entraîné en rotation dans la seconde position.
  6. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que le verrou (7) comprend en outre un évidement de verrouillage (18), ledit évidement de verrouillage (18) étant délimité par le moyen de mise en prise en saillie (13) au niveau d'un côté.
  7. Valise selon les revendications 3 à 5, caractérisée en ce que la poignée (4) est en forme de U et comprend une partie de prise de main (19) et deux pattes de préhension (20) sensiblement parallèles placées à chaque extrémité de la partie de prise de main (19), lesdites pattes de préhension (20) pivotant autour du second axe (15) et comprenant la partie en saillie (9).
  8. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la partie en saillie (9) de la poignée (4) et la première surface (8) comprennent des surfaces de butée (21) coulissant l'une contre l'autre et une partie de surface de la première surface (8) étant formée de manière partiellement cylindrique par une génératrice rectiligne s'étendant parallèlement au premier axe (12).
  9. Valise selon la revendication 7, caractérisée en ce que la partie de la première surface (8) est formée de manière partiellement cylindrique par la génératrice rectiligne s'étendant parallèlement au premier axe (12) comprenant la seconde partie de surface (17).
  10. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la première surface (8) et la partie en saillie (9) sont adaptées pour se désenclencher l'une de l'autre en tournant la poignée (4) de la position rabattue vers le haut et en revenant à une position rabattue vers le bas, alors que le verrou (7) reste mis en prise avec le couvercle (3) verrouillant le fond (2) et le couvercle (3) l'un par rapport à l'autre.
  11. Valise selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que la valise (1) comprend au moins une charnière (6) raccordant le couvercle (3) et le fond (2), ladite (lesdites) charnière(s) étant placée(s) au niveau d'une surface différente de la surface sur laquelle la poignée est placée.
  12. Procédé pour faire fonctionner une valise selon les revendications 1 à 9, caractérisé en ce que la poignée (4) est rabattue vers le bas, moyennant quoi la partie en saillie (9) passe d'une première position (10) à une seconde position (11), dans ladite première position (10), la partie en saillie (9) vient en butée contre une seconde partie de surface (17) de la première surface (8), et dans ladite seconde position (11), la partie en saillie (9) ne met pas en prise la première surface (8) et le procédé comprenant en outre l'étape consistant à faire tourner le verrou (7) autour du premier axe (12) dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, moyennant quoi le moyen de mise en saillie (13) désenclenche la clavette de verrouillage (14), moyennant quoi le couvercle (3) est adapté pour s'ouvrir dans la même direction au fur et à mesure que le verrou (7) est tourné.
  13. Procédé pour faire fonctionner une valise selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en ce que la partie en saillie (9) passe de la seconde position à la première position, moyennant quoi la partie en saillie (9) vient en butée contre la seconde partie de surface (17) et le verrou (7) tourne autour du premier axe (12) dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre, moyennant quoi le moyen de mise en prise en saillie (13) met en prise la clavette de verrouillage (14) et le couvercle est verrouillé.
