Definitions

  • the invention relates to an edge processing arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1, as for example from DE 10 2013 106 330 A1 is known.
  • edge bands are fed to the narrow side of a board made of wood or wood substitutes and connected to it. If they are used in large quantities, such edge bands are usually kept in rolls and unwound from the roll during operation of the edge processing arrangement and fed directly to the workpiece.
  • the edging arrangement usually has so-called edging magazines in the feed area, through which a number of edging strips can be kept available at the same time.
  • the edge strips that are used particularly frequently during a working day are kept in stock in these edge magazines.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying an edge processing arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the individual strips that occur less frequently can be kept available without slowing down the production process.
  • the edge processing arrangement has an edge processing machine on which there is a pressure zone in which supplied edge strips are pressed against the narrow side of a panel-shaped product made of wood or wood substitute.
  • the edge processing arrangement also includes an edge strip store, in which a plurality of different edge strips are stored, and a feed path arranged between the edge strip store and the pressure zone, via which a single edge strip is fed to the pressure zone in a feed direction.
  • the edging strip stock, which the individual Provides edge strips is now arranged according to the invention above or below the pressure zone of the edge processing machine. In this way, no additional installation space is required in the gluing area of the edge processing machine.
  • the feed path comprises at least one rotating means. This is designed to rotate the edging strip at least in sections about its longitudinal axis running in the feed direction. This makes it possible for the individual edge strips to be transferred from a higher or lower level to the level of the pressure zone.
  • an edging magazine is arranged, which can guide a plurality of edging strips and feed one or more of these edging strips to the feed line in a previously cut form. In this way it is possible to keep a whole series of different individual strips. It is quite possible to arrange the edging magazine spatially in the vicinity of or adjacent to the pressure zone or in the vicinity of or adjacent to the edging strip supply(s). Where this happens depends on the space available on site.
  • the feed line has an edge strip conveyor.
  • this edge strip conveyor can be designed, for example, as a belt conveyor or as a double belt conveyor. Of course they are too other devices to be actively guided are possible, such as driven rollers or the like. It is crucial that the edging strip conveyor is powered so that it can advance the edging strip.
  • the rotating means comprises at least one edging strip conveyor or a plurality of edging strip conveyors, which(s) can be rotated about an axis parallel to the conveying direction of the edging strip conveyor. In this way, the edge band can be turned into the desired position even during the feed movement.
  • the supplied individual strips can of course have different lengths depending on the requirements of the workpiece.
  • the edging strips are already separated behind the edging strip supply in the edging magazine before they reach the feed line.
  • the edging tape has to be turned over a greater or lesser length in the feed section.
  • These edge strip conveyors which are then arranged one behind the other, can be rotated individually or synchronously at the same time in order to be able to turn edge strips of different lengths.
  • the corresponding control then takes place via a machine control depending on the length of the supplied edging strip.
  • one or a plurality of edge strip conveyors are belt conveyors. These preferably have two parallel conveyor belts that are each circulated. There is then sufficient space between two strands of the belt conveyors pointing towards one another to accommodate an edge strip and to convey it between them by driving the belts.
  • This embodiment has the advantage that the edge band is held securely between two strands by friction and therefore cannot slip. It is also possible in this way to avoid grinding along hard objects that could damage the decorative surface of the edging strip.
  • the rotating means has a deflection arrangement, through which the plane of the surface pointing to the narrow side of the workpiece to be coated or opposite this rotates.
  • This device is then preferably designed to be passive (ie without its own drive causing the rotation of the plane).
  • the deflection arrangement comprises a plurality of pairs of rollers arranged one behind the other in the feed direction. In this embodiment, each pair of rollers then has two rollers with axes of rotation parallel to one another. The rollers themselves can be driven. In this context, passive simply means that the orientation of the roller axis does not need to be rotated by a drive.
  • the axes of rotation of a pair of rollers are tilted relative to the axes of rotation of a pair of rollers arranged before or after in the feed direction.
  • the plane of the edging strip entering the deflection arrangement gradually shifts, for example from a horizontal to a vertical orientation, so that the edging strip can then be processed in the correct orientation in the area of the pressure zone at the exit of the deflection arrangement.
  • the use of rollers in this area can be dispensed with.
  • the deflection arrangement has a shaft-like recess.
  • This recess therefore has the same effect as the rollers arranged one after the other in different roller axis orientations, in that the shaft there has an approximately helical course which is also able to rotate the plane of the edging strip.
  • the recess comprises an edge strip entry section, which has a first main extension direction transverse to the feed direction of the edge strip.
  • the shaft-like recess has an edge strip exit section, which has a second main extension direction transverse to the feed direction of the edge strip and at an angle to the first main extension direction. This angle can in particular be a right angle.
  • the shaft-like recess also has a shaft-like intermediate section which connects the edging strip entry section and the edging strip exit section to one another and is designed for an edging strip to be pushed through.
  • this intermediate section is preferably designed in the form of a helical line.
  • the edge processing arrangement 1 shown has an edge processing machine 2 .
  • An edge strip 10 (in particular individual strips) is fed to the edge processing machine 2 and connected to a workpiece (not shown) on its narrow side in the area of a pressure zone 7 .
  • an edge strip stock 8 is placed in another level 9, in which a large number of edge strips is stored.
  • an edge strip magazine 3 which feeds edge strips from the supply 8 to a feed line 4 .
  • the edging strip magazine is a multiple magazine, so it allows a plurality of edging strips 10 to be fed in.
  • a separating knife is provided in the area of the edge strip magazine 3 for cutting to length
  • conveyor devices are provided in the area of the feed section 4, which are designed as belt conveyors in the example shown. Of course, other conveying devices are also conceivable.
  • the edging strip 10 is conveyed between two belt conveyors 4, the edging strip 10 being initially fed out of the magazine 3 on edge (ie with the longitudinal narrow side pointing upwards).
  • a deflection device 51 which in the example shown is formed from a plurality of pairs of rollers arranged one behind the other, each pair of which have axes of rotation oriented differently from one another, the edging strip 10 is transferred from the upright orientation to a flat orientation and is picked up by the belt conveyor 4.
  • This belt conveyor 4 then transports the edging strip to the lower level, with another deflection device 52 being provided at the exit of the belt conveyor 4, which turns the edging strip 10 from the flat orientation back into the upright orientation.
  • the edge strip 10 is then picked up by a further feed device 6, which in the example shown is again designed as a belt conveyor, but can also be another feed device (for example driven rollers or the like).
  • the edge strip 10 can thus be conveyed from another plane into the plane of the pressure zone 7 .
  • roller assembly 51, 52 For the deflection according to the invention, not only the figure 1 indicated roller assembly 51, 52 are used, but there are other possibilities.
  • An example is in figure 2 shown:
  • a plurality of deflection devices 41, 42, 43, 44 are provided there, each of which is a driven conveyor section. In the example shown, this is in the form of double belt conveyors, so that an edge strip 10 can be transported between the strands of a double belt conveyor that face one another.
  • Each of these deflection devices 41, 42, 43, 44 is designed to be rotatable about an axis parallel to the transport direction of the edging strip 10.
  • a machine control (not shown) can be used to bring an incoming edging strip located in a section 41, 42, 43, 44 from a flat position into an upright position or vice versa by rotating this section.
  • a machine control can be used to bring an incoming edging strip located in a section 41, 42, 43, 44 from a flat position into an upright position or vice versa by rotating this section.
  • the controller which is informed of the length of the incoming edge strip 10, decides how many route sections have to be rotated at the same time.
  • the component 51, 52 shown is basically a block or a device which has a deflection shaft.
  • a slot-like inlet section 54 is shown, which extends with the main longitudinal extension in the transverse direction Y and which can accommodate an incoming edging strip.
  • an outlet section 55 is shown, which, like the inlet section 54 , is also designed like a slot, but whose main longitudinal extent runs in the Z direction at an angle (in particular a right angle) to the transverse direction Y .
  • the shaft has a helical shape, indicated by section 53. An incoming edge strip is thus converted from the horizontal orientation into an upright orientation by the forced guidance in section 53 in the example shown.
  • This component is completely passive, so that no additional drive is required for deflection.
  • the edge processing arrangement according to the invention is particularly suitable for the use of such a device for feeding individual strips of edge bands to a pressure zone without having to use the space around the pressure zone or the gluing area.
