Definitions

  • a hazardous goods container For the storage of hazardous substances, it is DE 20 2017 101 249 U1 It is known to equip a hazardous goods container with a bottom-side collecting tray, side walls, and a roof, with panels lined with sheet metal on both sides held between an inner and outer frame. This allows the hazardous goods container to have a stable structure that has a fire resistance of at least 90 minutes in the event of a fire.
  • a pivoting door is provided on one side wall for filling the fire-protection container, providing access to the interior of the hazardous goods container, which can be designed either as a pure storage shelf or accessible by people.
  • the problem arises that the access opening for filling the hazardous goods container is relatively small, making storing containers difficult.
  • Another disadvantage is that with large pivoting doors, the space in front of the hazardous goods container must be kept clear to avoid blocking the door.
  • a similar hazardous goods container is also shown. FR 3 018 788 .
  • the WO 92/14901 discloses a portable large container with a fire-resistant sliding door consisting of two sliding panels.
  • the suspended sliding panels are movable via two guide rails attached to the ceiling of the container.
  • transport containers are known in which hanging sliding doors are used, as is the case in JP 2001-48284 is revealed.
  • At least one sliding gate is movably mounted on at least one side for opening and closing an opening on the hazardous goods container. This reduces the space required when opening the hazardous goods container, as the at least one sliding gate is only moved along the opening and thus does not protrude from the hazardous goods container due to a pivoting movement. Especially with larger hazardous goods containers, a large access opening can be opened by the sliding gate, allowing the hazardous goods container to be filled or unloaded effectively with containers and drums.
  • the at least one sliding gate extends over at least 80% of the height of the dangerous goods container, so that filling and unloading of containers can take place essentially over almost the entire height in the horizontal direction along the access opening.
  • two sliding gates can be arranged at different levels on one side, so that each sliding gate covers an access opening on the container.
  • the two sliding gates can preferably cover at least 80% of the area of the side wall, so that each sliding gate can open up almost half of the area of the side wall for filling and unloading.
  • the side wall with the two sliding gates is preferably arranged on one long side of the hazardous goods container.
  • sliding gates can also be provided on both long sides, so that the hazardous goods container can be filled and unloaded from opposite sides.
  • the hazardous goods container preferably has a frame with an inner frame within the side walls and roof and an outer frame outside the side walls and roof.
  • the inner frame can be essentially cuboid-shaped and comprise several posts that support an upper frame below the roof.
  • the posts can be fixed or supported on the collecting tray, which is preferably made of bent sheet steel.
  • the side walls and the roof can then be fixed to the inner frame, with panels preferably being used for this purpose, which have a core made of fire-retardant material that is covered on both sides with a sheet metal.
  • the frame additionally comprises an outer frame that the side walls and the roof and also has posts and a frame in the roof area to securely fix the roof and side walls.
  • the at least one sliding gate is supported by rollers and guided along a guide rail on an upper side.
  • the weight of the sliding gate is then transferred by the rollers, so that only lateral support of the sliding gate is provided on the upper side, which is subject to greater load in the event of a fire.
  • the rollers are mounted on the sliding gate and can be moved along a guide rail that is supported on a floor section of the hazardous goods container.
  • a guide rail is provided, which is preferably fixed to an upper side of the sliding gate and can be moved along rotatable, but stationary guide rollers or sliding elements.
  • the guide rail could also be fixed to the roof of the container, with rollers or sliding elements arranged on the upper side of the sliding gate.
  • the guide rail is preferably U-shaped in cross-section and, when fixed to an upper side of the sliding gate, has upwardly projecting legs, between which sliding elements and/or guide rollers are arranged.
  • each sliding gate is pre-tensioned into a closed position by a spring element.
  • a spring element has a weight that can be moved via a cable pull, for example, in a pocket on a side wall. This allows the sliding gate to close automatically from an open position in the event of a fire.
  • the sliding gate can also be moved in the opening or closing direction via a drive, particularly an electric drive.
  • a magnet can be provided on the hazardous goods container, which can be used to fix a sliding gate in an open position.
  • This magnet can, for example, be powered, so that in the event of an accident or emergency release, the magnetic forces are deactivated by switching off the power, and the sliding gate automatically moves into the closed position.
  • the holding forces of the magnet are therefore preferably higher than the tensile forces exerted by the at least one spring element that preloads the sliding gate into the closed position.
  • the bottom of the collecting tray is preferably provided with at least one grating for the storage of containers, in particular drums, IBCs, KTCs, chemical and Euro pallets containing liquids, or other storage elements containing fluids. This allows the hazardous material to drain into the collecting tray, which is preferably made of bent sheet steel, in the event of a leak.
  • each sliding door is preferably arranged between two cover bars.
  • the cover bars can comprise or be made of intumescent material.
  • the overlap of the cover bars perpendicular to the direction of travel of the sliding door is preferably greater than 5 cm, for example, between 6 and 20 cm. This ensures secure closure at the upper edge of the sliding door in the event of a fire.
  • Such cover bars can optionally also be provided on a vertical side wall on the closing side of the sliding door.
  • the sliding gate has a strip-shaped projection on the side facing the opening direction, which, together with another strip-shaped projection, provides a seal.
  • the additional strip-shaped projection can be arranged either on a fixed panel of a side wall or on another sliding gate.
  • the strip-shaped projections can be hook-shaped and interlock, thus providing a reliable seal on the opening side of each sliding gate.
  • An intumescent material can be provided on the strip-shaped projection, or the gates can be formed from this material to ensure secure closure in the event of a fire.
  • a ventilation flap that closes automatically in hot conditions can also be provided.
  • the ventilation flap can be pre-tensioned into the closed position by a spring, for example, and held in the open position by a retaining element made of a fusible material, such as plastic.
  • a retaining element can be designed, for example, as a plastic screw, so that heat development or the escape of smoke gases can be prevented in the event of a fire.
  • the hazardous goods container according to the invention preferably has a service life of at least 60 minutes, in particular at least 90 minutes or 120 minutes according to EN 13501-2-2010 in accordance with REI-1-60 and REI-2-90, thus ensuring fire protection for a relatively long period of time.
  • the hazardous goods container simultaneously meets all three fire resistance classes according to EN 13501-2, namely REI-1-60, REI-2-90, and REI-2-120.
  • a hazardous goods container 1 comprises a bottom-side collecting trough arranged in the interior and an upper roof 2, with side walls 3 provided on one or more sides between the collecting trough and the roof 2.
  • the side walls 3 are arranged on three sides, while on a fourth side two sliding gates 6 and 7 are arranged, each covering an access opening to the interior of the hazardous goods container 1.
  • an outer framework with vertical posts 5 is provided outside the hazardous goods container 1, which support a frame formed from profiles 4 on the roof 2.
  • the side walls 3 are formed from panels having a core made of non-combustible or fire-retardant material, for example, corresponding to building material class A1, and metal sheets are provided on both sides of the core for covering.
  • an internal framework 11 of the hazardous goods container 1 is shown, which is provided within the side walls 3 and the roof 2.
  • the internal framework 11 comprises vertical posts 14, which in the upper area support a frame formed from longitudinal profiles 12 and transverse profiles 13, wherein the longitudinal profiles 12 and the transverse profiles 13 can be made from C-shaped folded sheets that are connected to one another with rivets.
  • a collecting tray 10 is arranged, which is made from a bent steel sheet, preferably with a sheet thickness between 3 mm and 8 mm, in particular 4 mm and 6 mm.
  • strips 16 are provided, on which gratings can be supported, on which the containers with hazardous substances are then placed.
  • the sliding gate 7 is arranged between downwardly projecting cover strips 28, which cover an upper edge of the sliding gate 7.
  • the overlap in the vertical direction by the cover strips 17 and 28 can, for example, be at least 5 cm, preferably between 8 cm to 30 cm.
  • the cover strips 17 and 28 may comprise or be made of an intumescent material in order to securely close gaps between the sliding gate 7 and the cover strips 17 and 28 in the event of a fire.
  • each sliding gate 6 and 7 is enclosed between two downwardly projecting cover strips 28, wherein the overlap of the cover strips 28 in the vertical direction is preferably between 5 cm and 50 cm, in particular 20 cm to 40 cm.
  • the sliding gates 6 and 7 are only guided laterally, while the weight loads are carried via the lower rollers 23 and the guide rail 20.
  • Each sliding gate 6 and 7 has a guide rail 25 on the upper side, which is U-shaped in cross-section and has upwardly projecting legs.
  • guide rollers 26 Arranged within the guide rail 25 are guide rollers 26 which are mounted so as to be rotatable about an axis 27.
  • the guide rollers 26 are held on the roof 2 of the dangerous goods container 1.
  • the guide rail 25 can also be fixed to the roof 2 and serve to guide sliding elements or guide rollers that are attached to one of the sliding gates 6 or 7.
  • FIG 8 A section through the closing side of the sliding gate 7 is shown.
  • the vertical closing side is also arranged between two cover webs 32 made of intumescent material, which foam under the influence of heat and can close corresponding gaps.
