Definitions

  • the invention relates to a piece of luggage according to the preamble of claim 1, and a method for producing an upcycled piece of luggage according to claim 16.
  • Items of luggage which have a top and a bottom, with at least two luggage rollers being arranged on the underside, with which the item of luggage can be rolled over a floor surface.
  • a known piece of luggage has at least two side surfaces and at least two main surfaces, with a first three-dimensional pattern being arranged on at least one of the main and / or side surfaces, the first pattern having a plurality of surface structures repeating in the pattern, which are opposite the respective main - and/or side surface protrude and/or are recessed in it.
  • the aforementioned pieces of luggage are, for example, suitcases, in particular suitcases, see are among the essential utensils when traveling, be it for recreational purposes or business trips.
  • suitcases can be divided into soft-shell suitcases and hard-shell suitcases, with the latter having greater dimensional stability due to the hard outer shell. This makes it easier to protect the luggage or items inside the hard-shell case from the outside Protect from impacts than is the case with soft-shell cases.
  • Hard-shell cases generally represent a high-quality alternative to the usually cheaper soft-shell cases.
  • the luggage In many types of travel, the luggage, especially suitcases, are not in the traveler's immediate possession, at least temporarily.
  • suitcases and luggage are often temporarily stored in storage shelves, which are located, for example, at the ends of a carriage or in the middle of a carriage.
  • storage shelves which are located, for example, at the ends of a carriage or in the middle of a carriage.
  • suitcases When traveling by plane, suitcases often have to be checked in so that they can be placed and transported in a storage room on the aircraft that is separate from the passenger cabin. After the flight has ended, the suitcases are usually placed on a luggage carousel from which the passenger can take immediate possession of their luggage.
  • High-quality pieces of luggage such as in particular hard-shell suitcases, which have, for example, an outer shell made of an aluminum alloy
  • the repeating surface structures can be, for example, a groove structure which is formed by spaced-apart, parallel, outwardly raised beads in the outer shell. Due to the raised beads, the outer shell has an uneven structure, i.e. the groove structure described. Due to the groove structure, patches, in particular textile patches, cannot easily be applied to the outer shell, particularly due to their thickness. It is often not possible to sew a patch onto a hard shell. In addition the patch would flatten as it moved away from the seam, resulting in an uneven shape of the patch. Furthermore, it is difficult to fully adhere the patch to the grilled outer shell. In addition, the high-quality patch loses its flat shape, which has a negative effect on the external appearance of the patch.
  • the task is therefore to produce individual pieces of luggage that can be manufactured in a simple manner.
  • Upcycling means making new luggage from existing luggage. For example, older pieces of luggage have damage in certain places or the surface is scratched. By upcycling the piece of luggage, new types of luggage can be produced again without having to produce an entire piece of luggage from scratch. This saves resources.
  • the invention is defined in claim 1.
  • the present invention has the advantage that a shield-shaped element can be arranged on a main and/or side surface of the item of luggage and has such a geometry that the inside of the shield-shaped element corresponds exactly to the first pattern on the main and/or side surface arranged pattern is adapted.
  • the shield-shaped element can be permanently and very well arranged on the main and/or side surface.
  • By adjusting the respective patterns and the interlocking of the first and second surface structures By adjusting the respective patterns and the interlocking of the first and second surface structures, slipping on the main and/or side surface is avoided.
  • This supports the connection between the shield-shaped element and the main and/or side surface by means of the connecting device.
  • the main and/or side surface can be individualized and preferably also reinforced.
  • the present piece of luggage has the advantage that the luggage body with top and bottom as well as side surfaces and main surfaces can be manufactured separately from the shield-shaped element and only in a final step is the shield-shaped element fastened to the main and/or side surfaces by means of the connecting device become. In this way the manufacturing processes are simplified.
  • the same pastry bodies can always be made.
  • the shield-shaped elements can be manufactured in a second production line. The shield-shaped elements can be changed individually.
  • the shield-shaped element is a flat element, for example in the form of a support plate, which has two opposite sides which are large in relation to the thickness of the element. • the shield-shaped element can have a non-round shape and have a longitudinal extension in a plane defined by the shield-shaped element and a transverse extension oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal extension.
  • the longitudinal extent and a longitudinal direction of the first three-dimensional surface structures can be oriented parallel to one another, or alternatively the longitudinal extent and the longitudinal direction of the grooves include an angle in a range of greater than 0° to 90°.
  • the term “angle” is understood here to mean that the smaller of the angle included between the longitudinal extent and the longitudinal direction always corresponds to the “angle”, regardless of its direction of rotation.
  • the angle can be determined in particular by projecting the longitudinal extent and the longitudinal direction onto a plane defined by the shield-shaped element. The angle is then corresponding to the angle that is included by the aforementioned projections.
