Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for transferring a position from at least one local condition of a wall section to a wall cladding panel, in particular a wall tile, which can be arranged on the wall section, comprising at least one horizontally arranging rail, at least one positioning element adjustable in a plane connected to the rail, and at least one fixing means for fixing the positioning element in a position relative to the rail on the rail, wherein at least one elongated opening extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail is formed on the rail, along which the positioning element is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the rail, wherein a section of the fixing means is passed through the opening on the rail, and wherein at least one elongated opening is formed on the positioning element, through which a further section of the fixing means is passed, along which the positioning element is adjustable in its longitudinal direction connected to the rail.
- a local feature of a wall section can be transferred to a wall cladding panel that can be arranged on the wall section.
- a local feature within the scope of the present application, can be, for example, a construction plug, a drain pipe, in particular a toilet drain pipe, a water inlet, in particular a toilet inlet, a switch, a socket, or the like.
- Suitable transmission devices are, for example, made of DE 195 10 557 A1 , DE 10 2015 004 948 A1 or DE 200 14 981 U1 known.
- the respective transmission device The device is placed against a section of wall and adjusted according to the specific conditions of that section. It can then be removed from the wall and placed on a wall tile to be cut and positioned on that section. The device then precisely indicates where the wall tile needs to be cut.
- US 2017 / 066 125 A1 Disclosure reveals a tool for transferring the local characteristics of a wall section to the back panel of a cabinet.
- the tool comprises a rail that can be arranged horizontally on the wall section and several positioning elements that are adjustable in one plane and connected to the rail.
- One object of the invention is to simplify the application of wall cladding panels, in particular wall tiles, to a wall and at the same time to optimize the quality of a wall cladding produced accordingly.
- the positioning element can be adjusted in its longitudinal direction and also in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail relative to the guide rail. This allows the device according to the invention to be adjusted, for example, in comparison to the transmission device made of DE 195 10 557 A1 can be adapted much better to the respective local conditions of the wall section, especially since the positioning element is not only pivotable on the mounting rail, but can also be moved linearly along the longitudinal extension of the mounting rail.
- the device according to the invention thus enables the optimal and simple transfer of the position of at least one local feature of the wall section to a wall cladding panel, in particular a wall tile, which can be positioned on the wall section.
- the device is positioned on the wall section and then adjusted or set such that the setting of the device includes the position of the local feature of the wall section relative to the guide rail.
- the device can then be locked in place and subsequently placed on the wall cladding panel to be positioned on the wall section, so that the positioning element precisely indicates the position at which the wall cladding panel is to be worked on due to the local feature of the wall section.
- a user can then mark this position on the wall cladding panel, for example by drawing or scribing it, after which the wall cladding panel can be worked on accordingly, in particular by cutting it to size.
- the mounting rail is positioned horizontally against the wall section.
- the opening in the mounting rail can, for example, extend over at least one-third of the length of the mounting rail.
- the width of the opening in the guide rail is preferably many times smaller than its length.
- the opening in the guide rail can, in particular, be straight.
- the opening in the guide rail can, for example, be in the form of an elongated slot with rounded or angular ends.
- the opening in the guide rail can be closed at both ends or open at one end, i.e., as an elongated recess.
- the guide rail can be formed monolithically from a single sheet of metal. This makes the guide rail very robust and cost-effective to manufacture.
