Abstract

UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA POLIMERIZAR CLORURO DE VINILO EN UN SISTEMA ACUOSO QUE UTILIZA UN INICIADOR QUE FORMA RADICALES LIBRES, SOLUBLE EN EL MONOMERO. EL INICIADOR ES ACTIVADO PARCIALMENTE EN LA PRIMERA FASE DE LA POLIMERIZACION POR MEDIO DE UN SISTEMA REDOX QUE COMPRENDE UN COMPLEJO METALICO QUE ES REDUCIDO A LA FORMA QUE ACTIVA EL INICIADOR, POR MEDIO DE UNA SUSTANCIA REDUCTORA. LA CANTIDAD TOTAL DE SUSTANCIA REDUCTORA SE AÑADE AL COMIENZO DEL PROCESO DE POLIMERIZACION Y ESTO LLEVA AUN AUMENTO RAPIDO HASTA UNA VELOCIDAD DE POLIMERIZACION CONSTANTE. EL INICIADOR ES, POR EJEMPLO, UN PEROXIDO DE DIACILO O UN PEROXIDICARBONATO Y LA FORMACION DE RADICALES PARTIENDO DEL INICIADOR DURANTE LA ULTIMA PARTE DE LA POLIMERIZACION DEPENDE TOTALMENTE DE LA DESCOMPOSICION TERMICA DEL INICIADOR.
