Abstract
SE DESCRIBE UN PROCESO PARA LA PRODUCCION CONTINUA DE COPOLIMEROS VINILOAROMATICOS DE ALTO IMPACTO, EN EL CUAL UN MONOMERO VINILOAROMATICO, UN COMONOMERO VINILO-CIANURO OPCIONAL, UNA GOMA, UNA PARTE DE UN DILUYENTE DISOLVENTE Y UN CATALIZADOR SE PREMEZCLAN A UNA TEMPERATURA POR DEBAJO DE 100 C Y ALIMENTA A UN REACTOR TUBULAR DE FLUJO CERRADO AGITADO, EL CUAL ESTA DIVIDIDO EN DIVERSAS ETAPAS O ZONAS. EL EXCESO DE MEZCLA SE RECICLA AL PREMEZCLADOR Y LA PARTE REMANENTE DE DISOLVENTE DILUYENTE SE INYECTA EN EL TECHO DEL REACTOR PARA EVITAR LA FORMACION DE INCRUSTACIONES. EN LA PRIMERA ZONA DEL REACTOR, LA TEMPERATURA Y EL TIEMPO DE ESTANCIA DE LA MEZCLA SE CONTROLA DE MODO QUE SE PROLONGUE LA VIDA DEL CATALIZADOR. LA POLIMERIZACION CONTINUA EN LAS ZONAS SUBSIGUIENTES DEL REACTOR, HASTA QUE AL MENOS 40% DE PESO DE SOLIDOS SE HAYA FORMADO. FIG 1.
